What exactly does it "require" to get a custom title? I've seen a lot of people getting them lately. (OddHunter, MeechMunchie, Phylum etc.)

In a nutshell; depends how far you can stick your tongue up the admins rectum.

You have to cultivate a friendship with an admin and ask him nicely.

I thought you had to have some sort of catch phrase or had to have said something veritably witty. That and you have to be here for ages and be friends with everyone. Except MS.

Catch phrases help. It's better to say to an admin 'Hey this is a cool little meme, can I have it as a custome title?' to say 'Hey you know how awesome I am? Can I have Mr Obnoxiously Awesome as my title dude!'

I briefly toyed with getting 'Obnoxious British Cunt' as my CT, as the first insult I can remember recieving here.

I honestly don't know how to get a custom title. I just moseyed around here for a couple of years and suddenly Nate appeared saying he was surprised I didn't already have one. I wasn't; Disgruntled Intern had to wait about 8 years for his.

Also STM has been here longer than Dix. And so have I. I am surprised by this.

So it's okay for me to have, "Still doesn't have a custom title?" That's hilarious!

STM is right and WoF is wrong; the quickest way to not get a custom title is to ask for one.

As for the group of people who have received CTs in the last week; I realised recently that I hadn't given a CT to anyone (or edited an existing one, which is done on request) in a long time. So we had a discussion in EL about who would be deserving and and we decided on a small number of members who had been here for a significant amount of time, had contributed to the forums and were generally well liked. That is how we decide to award CTs.
