I'm gonna miss Mark Hammil. :(

Dynamithix 10-31-2011 01:57 PM

Yeah, sad that he finished doing Joker's voice. That's probably the main reason why they killed Joker off in the story.

I'd love a new Batman game to be set in Gotham and the main villain would be Scarecrow. It would be fucking sweet.

Mac Sirloin 10-31-2011 05:14 PM

I'd say Scarecrow is a good candidate for the next game. Him or Bane.
It couldn't be the same Scarecrow as in AA/AC, though. He's got the intimidation factor of a dumb teenager with a sharp twig. Nice design, but really, he wasn't actually frightening.

Wings of Fire 10-31-2011 05:32 PM

Well, Bane, Joker and Two-Face are the most important Batman villains.

StrangerEastwood 10-31-2011 06:00 PM

Firefly!...if they did that I would die laughing.
Actually, better yet, The Ventriloquist.(I think I spelled that correctly...) That'd be hilariously awesome. But, I think it's gonna be Hush.

Wings of Fire 10-31-2011 08:58 PM

It better not be Hush. Hush is a shitty villain.

StrangerEastwood 10-31-2011 09:19 PM

And Ra's is likely, what with the Lazarus pits and all. And Hush is not that shitty, lol In fact, he's a good match for bats intellectually and physically. I'm still surprised how underused Strange was though...

Wings of Fire 10-31-2011 10:29 PM

Ra's is a different kind of villain for a different kind of game. It's like calling Darksied a Superman villain.

And, believe me, I collected the Hush story as it came out. He's shitty.

StrangerEastwood 10-31-2011 10:42 PM

Well, Ra's is already in City, so it's likely he'll at least return. And personal qualms aside, who else is a proper match? Unless they worked in Jason Todd as the red hood, but he's no villain...Just horribly misguided and changed by the Lazarus pits. This is actually pretty hard, given how many villains there are. I do hope Nightwing is REALLY apart of the game next time. Robin should get more face time as well. What's with the lack of face time for these characters? Did Chris O'neil really fuck it up that badly? lol

Fascinating.

Wings of Fire 11-01-2011 12:33 AM

The implication being that the next game will probably use Bane or Two Face as the main villain.

You know, implicit meaning. So you don't have to spell it out.

StrangerEastwood 11-01-2011 11:07 AM

Bane would be a boring main villain. And Two Face is great as a character, but I can't see him being the driving force of a whole game.

Dynamithix 11-01-2011 11:30 AM

I still think Scarecrow would be the best main villain out of those guys. Bane and Two-Face should definitely play a bigger role and Killer Croc could appear too. (The easter egg hinted that Killer Croc is now free of the collar and moving in Gotham's sewers. )

Oh go read Knightfall.

StrangerEastwood 11-02-2011 04:02 AM

I'm always open to reading more bats. Any particular highlights that show bane as a competent main? Not just "I break you"? lol

From page 1 of the first volume of Nightfall to where Azrael beats him in volume two.

Then pick up Knightsend because Bruce Wayne retaking the cowl from Jean-Paul Valley is magnificent.

Shame both Bane and Azrael became utter shit after.

StrangerEastwood 11-02-2011 02:46 PM

I will have to give them a look. And at least Azrael is foreshadowed for Arkham 3, and thus far Arkham presents the characters brilliantly, even if some are hideously underutilized.

Dynamithix 11-02-2011 02:50 PM

Azrael's side mission was actually pretty interesting. Maybe the end of the mission hinted at a future story DLC with the "Dark days are coming. The prophecy is coming true" and how he suddenly disappears and says that you'll meet again.

Just wondering.

StrangerEastwood 11-03-2011 05:14 AM

That and Hush getting away, among other hints towards dlc or the sequel. Not to mention clay face falling into the lazarus pit.. That cannot bode well. I hope the next takes place in Gotham in all it's glory. I wanna break up robberies and save people batman style, dammit. That and I don't know where you go from arkham city.
