How come this guy can make a multi and get 14 posts and any multis I have made get stopepd at the gate? Do you guys just do IP checks at random?

I do IP checks at every registration (which is how you got caught). And if someone seems suspicious, I'll re-check them at a later date. Some members have been re-checked many, many times.

is the IP check before you validate the account or something? because i remember managing to pretend to be MS at one stage. i stuck to the welcome thread but it was a while before i was banned, and i think that was because someone did think i was MS.

This thread makes me realise that we have been really quite slack about infracting people for multi accounts.

Well... I don't want to go in to too much detail on how I detect multis, but suffice to say that sometimes the information given to me at registration does not indicate a multi but more data will come to light at a later date.
