Judging from the girl on the right, I presume you got a cloning tank.

I have that same Ushanka (Ушанка!). Imperial crest and everything.

Yeah, this year I only got one thing I didn't want, so a record year all round. Stand-out present was a plasma ball (vital mad scientist apparatus, and already have used it in arty photos - expect them soon), which I didn't even ask for. My eldest brother/sister (long story) bought me some Marks & Spencers 'Snowy Balls'. How did he/she know? Again, expect photos soon. Spent the evening quietly absorbing alcohol in front of the TV.

Hulaabeo 12-26-2010 07:57 AM

All I got was some diodorant... and Oddworld First Ten Years. :tard:

Mac Sirloin 12-26-2010 10:23 AM

The only thing missing from what I asked for was Vanquish, a 360 game, and even then I told my mom that it wouldn't be a big deal either way.

My Ushanka and coat make me sweat while walking in the bitter Canadian Cold, with nothing but a flannel shirt and Tee underneath. Wonderfully Warm.

T-nex 12-26-2010 12:59 PM

I got money.... and firecrackers.... and some neat shoes/bracelet/dress from my sis..

I myself made some paintings for my loved ones. Yea.

shoes/bracelet/dress

One piece of clothing does all those things?

Manco 12-26-2010 04:25 PM

Think of it as a giant sleeping bag with some beads and shoe soles.

I did better than you. I didn't get anything that I didn't want.

What makes it a 'quality' Jenga set rather than the standard one?

Speaking of Jenga, my mates and I saw this at 2:30am the other night (24 hour pre-christmas shopping ftw) and drooled over its ridiculously expensive box:
http://cache.kotaku.com/assets/image...kong_jenga.jpg

I bought that for Abbey. Seriously.

April and I played it as a drinking game on Christmas.

Then we had sex.

T-nex 12-27-2010 09:49 AM

So i take it was a good christmas then =D

... I'm looking forward to next Christmas. This one wasn't up to par for me. But I'm sure next one will be great, just as I'm sure I'll be with Chris next time =) So yea. Sigh, I really miss being in Pittsburgh during winter. it's not as pretty as here, but it now holds more sentimental value than ever.

STM 12-27-2010 10:17 AM

I had an enjoyable Christmas, probably one of the best ones in a while actually, got some fun presents, probably the best being New Vegas Limited Edish or My complete works of George Orwell book. 1180 pages will keep me busy for a while.

OANST 12-27-2010 10:47 AM

Oh, I almost forgot. My sister gave me "The Art of Maurice Sendak", which is fucking awesome. Huge book.

OANST 12-27-2010 12:14 PM

At least I use mine.

MA 12-27-2010 12:22 PM

cunt.

fuck you, i quit. its not my fault if i have to shave my fingers before anyone will come within a 10ft radius of me.

OANST 12-27-2010 01:33 PM

Hey, man. If I can get laid, you can get laid. You just need to put in the effort.

Jango 12-27-2010 03:19 PM

I got a scope for my air rifle for Christmas. It's very good; I have it sighted up for both 20 metre and 50 metre ranges. I also got This Mitchell and Webb Book amongst other things. It's a very funny book. :)

But I also have a lot of revision to do for three GCSE Science exams that I have in January and a German speaking exam that I have in February, so quite a bit of work to do...

Presents from Mom. See if you can identify all three microbe plushies.

OANST 12-28-2010 01:56 PM

Why did you get all the same presents that Abbey got?

Seriously.

She got a pillow pet, and insects encased in glass.

used:) 12-28-2010 02:16 PM

Well, I bet it wasn't a cow!

I was joking when I used to talk about wanting one of those. I guess my sarcasm really is hard to get across.

OANST 12-28-2010 02:17 PM

No. She got the ladybug.

used:) 12-29-2010 08:38 AM

To be honest, it's growing on me tremendously. You must know how soft and comfortable it truly is.

My room is going to be bitchin' next year.

OANST 12-29-2010 08:40 AM

It's a pillow.

How do you non-travellers have so many international friends close enough to bother sending presents?

San Fran isn't that close.

I got the new Discoworld book I shall wear midnight, three different zombie books for some reason, a load of clothes (including several pairs of trousers, so I can start wearing some again), a whoopee cushion for some reason. Oh, and stuff to make a cardboard owl.

And I spent all day trying not to step on an excitable chihuahua pup.

I think he meant close in a friendly manner, not geographically.

T-nex 12-29-2010 10:31 AM

Just wanted to mention a gift my sister got from her nearly-not BF, cos i think it's actually pretty cool.

It's this artificial butterfly in a jar, and when you tap it, the butterfly flutters around in the jar. It's pretty nice. Also really beautiful butterfly.

How sweet of him to get her such a thing I guess.

Ah. Well in that case, I have no idea. The cost of those goggles probably matched that of all my other gifts put together.

Josh 12-29-2010 11:00 AM

I got a kickass pair of shoes that I shall wear forever. Other stuff coming when Amazon gets around to it.

Nate 12-29-2010 07:51 PM

Okay, I'll bite: BM, you haven't been wearing trousers lately?

I've been wearing a complex of holes and patches, held together by rough cotton thread stitching and the theoretical remnants of palaeolithic denim.

I think the difficult thing is making certain people imagine you with trousers.
