I would like better if they'd actually synced up the dates of the audio recording with the distance from earth, instead of having the early '60's at Jupiter (which is really less than an hour and a half away) and almost complete silence by the time it reached the nearest star (at which point the radio waves would only be four years old).

but the effect would be gone. imagine this movie from the 90ies only showing 4 years of global broadcast in the intro. I would fucking leave the theatre.

Or they could speed through the solar system faster and then show more of the galaxy.

Emesdee 02-02-2011 02:01 AM

Trust me, it was scary when I was seven.

Pac-Maniac 02-03-2011 01:23 PM

Hungry Bitches, the trailer.

scrabface 02-04-2011 06:13 PM

I watched this with a buddy last year. That monster is still creepy.

fargo is soo good. when I visited minnesota, I expected everyone to always say 'Oh Jeez'.

Disgruntled Intern 02-06-2011 02:41 PM

I was going to post individual Haute Tension scenes, but the fuck who uploaded them disabled embedding.

Videodrome:

They Live!:

Holy shit, I remember Videodrome, I saw some of it last year and I wanted to see the full movie, but unfortunately it was just about to end. Damn it.

Also, I really need to see 'They Live!' since I'm a big John Carpenter fan. Is it any good? (From just that one scene, I can imagine it is.)

Disgruntled Intern 02-06-2011 05:37 PM

Yeah, it's pretty funny.

scrabface 02-16-2011 05:39 PM

I'd like to know how accurate he's doing the suit. but it looks impressive anyway, even if he's doing shit.

Did you upload that video yourself? It only had 1 view when I clicked on it.

scrabface 02-16-2011 06:51 PM

Yes, I couldn't find it on youtube.

moxco 02-18-2011 03:50 AM

Can't believe it hasn't already been posted.

Dynamithix 02-22-2011 01:03 PM

This was so epic when I saw it in the movie theater.

Wings of Fire 02-22-2011 01:12 PM

Wow, it really is Twilight for boys huh?

Ridg3 02-22-2011 01:18 PM

What? Shite made for fellas?

Wings of Fire 02-22-2011 01:44 PM

Yeah, it's just so relentlessly overdone it makes me cringe.

And I assume that's a better part of the movie.

Dynamithix 02-22-2011 01:48 PM

I thought Scott Pilgrim was pretty fucking good.

MA 02-22-2011 03:00 PM

then you're PRETTY FUCKING WRONG

nah, haven't even seen it.

Nate 02-22-2011 04:56 PM

Scott Pilgrim was awesome, but I wouldn't recommend it to everyone. You need to have a high threshold for absurdity and ridiculous cultural references.

Hazel-Rah 02-23-2011 01:34 AM

Why hasn't anyone posted this yet? *shakes head*

Ridg3 02-23-2011 04:44 AM

I was watching SP and I was trying to make sense of it all, it didn't really make sense... I didn't enjoy it. My friends though loved it, but that might have something to do with they fact that the don't watch good films.

MeechMunchie 02-23-2011 06:18 AM

I didn't think Scott Pilgrim was obscure enough. They tried to go for the gamer niche but then copped out and tried to make it appeal to everybody.

Dynamithix 02-25-2011 11:56 AM

I always thought General Grievous was the best bad guy in Star Wars. Shit, I even have the old Grievous LEGO minifigure. I gotta find it though.

ziggy 02-25-2011 12:46 PM

General Grievous was the only interesting thing in Star Wars!

Manco 02-25-2011 12:59 PM

I also really liked him; at least, the Clone Wars cartoon version of him. Unfortunately, Episode 3 turned him into a throwaway character of pretty much zero importance.

I'm talking about this, not the stupid CGI abortion that got released a couple of years ago.

Dynamithix 02-25-2011 02:32 PM

THANK THE LORD, I actually thought you were talking about the crappy one.

Liked Count Dooku more myself. As short as they were, his fight scenes were my favorite of the franchise.

Nice. I have something of a man-crush for Javier Bardem.

Hazel-Rah 02-26-2011 09:46 PM

You know what's better than the Star Wars prequels?

Plinkett's reviews of course

Dynamithix 02-27-2011 03:04 AM

Why is there 7 parts? I couldn't even watch the first part to the end.
