The roar of the hellhoundslog almost made Ruff stop in his tracks, but only one thing was on the slog's mind at the moment. Blood.
A flurry of blows had already brought the larger slog to the ground, but Ruff didn't care, he proceeded to gouge at the corpse, eating his fill. HOUR FIVE RESULTS

Furlong hears a clattering noise which sounds like a xylophone. He turns around to see a skeletal looking Slig approaching. "What the &%$!", Furlong reaches for his flashlight but gets attacked by the SkeleSlig. "Crag I need some help! Throw me that Broken SMG! We'll both need working guns if we want to survive here!" Note: The xylophone noise is creepy, but not enough to paralyse those who are afraid of noises. (But there might be creepier things further in the subway) [A] Furlong tries to attack the SkeleSlig with a Chainsaw. [QH] Furlong tries to attack the SkeleSlig with a Chainsaw. [M] Furlong moves to A2. Note: QH is for the Quick Hands Oddity. Meanwhile, Randy is surprised by another Hellhound Slog. 'There must be a kennel nearby', he mumbles. He looks around to see a flashing red light coming from B3. [A] Randy tries to attack the Hellhound Slog with his fists. [M] Randy moves to B3. ('I must destroy that kennel!') Unit 23 was happy in a smaller team but the distant driving conscience in the back of his mind told him he needed to keep his guard up, when he heard a comotion back were he came he hastened his speed, it was too late to come rushing back now,
"Zalik, when Scrap reaches us...we need to find a place to set down and think up some strategy, of all the places i've been, this is the worst, what's your background then?" As he asked, decently interested, he set about searching his position for weapons or stimulant packs, he still had enough room for more kit. As he rose up from the floor, looking at the junk he'd found, he heard a yell behind him. He spun round to see a hideous abomination of a Slig clattering towards Furlong. "Chag I need some help! Throw me that Broken SMG! We'll both need working guns if we want to survive here!" "Holy *BS*! I'm on it!" [M] Chag rushes into A2 [E] Chag tossed the Broken SMG to Furlong, *DR* (Furlong might need to roll to catch) stuffed the MedPack into his wings and sped towards the Skele-Slig. "I don't know if this gun will work or not, so I'm not gonna risk it blowing up in my *BS*ing face!" Banking into a complex flight manoeuvre, he slid around the back of the monster and [A] beat it (SkeleSlig) in the back of the skull with the butt of his shotgun. *DR* |
IC: Kipricat was bemused at how lucky he seemed. A tazer, a grenade, a med kit and even a focket launcher. 'Today, I am unstoppable...' he thought happpily. Of course, in his happy daze he barely noticed a slog ambusing Randy. Luckily he spotted it just after it attacked Randy. Kipricat said something that made you glad his lips were stitched, as he whipped out the grenade, and threw it staight at the slog, now confused that it's attack had apparently failed. Out of the corner of his eye, Kipricat saw something even worse. A slig. Which looked almost like it was... Made of bones only? Quickly whipping around, Kipricat ran up to him with his tazer and stabbed widly, hoping the slog was not right behind him.
Seeing that Randy was running off, Kipricat yelled out for Randy to stop, but his already muffled yell was drowned out by the sounds of chaos around him. [A] Kipricat throws a grenade at the slog *DR* [QH] Kipricat attacks the slig with his tazer *DR* [E] Kipricat cries out for help *DR* |

Zalik saw the Hellhound Slog jump out of the darkness at Randy, barely missing him as Randy ran further along the subway line. Seeing the red light in the distance Zalik worked out what the Intern was up to. He turned his attention to the giant Slog and ran to the end of B2, near Unit 23. "Hey Sloggie!" he yelled in an attempt to divert the attention of the Slog from Randy to himself. "I hope you find something good 23." he whispered, trying his best to sound calm. Zalik knew he wouldn't be able to take on the Slog on his own, but Randy would have enough trouble without a Slog chasing after him as well. Zalik gulped and ran at the Hellhound Slog, Blitzknife raised as he went to slash at the creature. Sorry. IC: The SkeleSlig stumbled forwards but Chag was thrown back into the air by the force of the impact. As he readied himself for another attack, Furlong shouted: "Crag, I'll finish it off, go on ahead!" "Okay, if you're sure! Give me a shout if you need help! And it's Chag! Chag kicked his wings up a gear and [M] (Chag) roared into A3. He wasn't taking any chances. Chag disengaged his wings and hung from one of the strip lights on the subway ceiling. 'Show yourselves, you *BS*s,' he thought. [A] Chag scans A3 for movement or items. *DR* |
Unit 23 groaned a clutched the grenade tightly in his enclosed fist, he sighed and looked down at the distorted metal kennel, the warped sides housed some sort of mutated slog creatures and they were right, it was best to get rid of them.
"CLEAR THE HOLE!" Unit 23 shouted at the top of his voice, lobbing the grenade with the intention of bringing the wall crashing down on the kennel. [DR] (if successful) The grenade exploded in a fiery ball of raw power, all the nearby creatures were consumed by the ravenous blast while the weak walls around the kennel collapsed, obliterating the hold and cutting of the entrance for any more beasts to escape. "Thank Odd!" |

Zalik's yell did nothing to faze the Slog from chasing Randy. Luckily Kipricat's grenade was enough to injure the creature and Zalik was able to catch up to it, he swung his Blitzknife downwards aiming for the Slogs body. However the Vibrations of the weapon knocked Zalik off balance, slicing the Slogs paw instead, sapping the last of it's strength and it collapsed. Zalik stopped to catch his breath again, although this time he wasn't as worn out as before and his weapon felt a bit more natural in his hand as he slowly waved it around. Being a Slig, Zalik briefly lost track of the grand scheme of things and began looking around for any items lying around until he saw Unit 23 run further along the subway line. Zalik quickly snapped back to reality and the dangers around him, the fear coming back. He ran further down the line to help Randy and Unit 23. Not wanting to hit one of the other two with his Blitzknife Zalik pulled out the Drill and ran towards the Slog hut. What is where at the moment, who is where, and just what exactly is going on? IC: Seeing that the slig was still alive, he pulled out his trusty tazer and charged at it. In all the explosions, flames and yells, Kipricat felt that everything around him was slowing down. He did not have time to think about why, but he was grateful. He stabbed out at the slig, hoping it would be enough to take out the last of the foe. Therefore I might have to have A5 and B5 merge into one line. From A5/B5 onwards, it will just be AB6, AB7 all the way to AB10. That should make things simpler, what does everyone think? |
Unit 23 yelped when the explosion damaged the hut but was worried when the wall did little to damage it. He retreated his steps back up the tunnel slowly, watching the disaster unfold ahead of him, in the shadows, he searched again for a long ranged weapon, hoping to find something he could exchange for the tazer.
"Zalik, quiet, let the rest of the team mop up," Unit 23 whispered harshly. [M] Unit 23 retreats into the shadows [E] Unit 23 searches for ranged weaponry |

As he stared into the gloom, Chag saw something move. Within seconds, a decaying Slig corpse was running furiously towards him, apparently unhindered by being... well, dead. 'Great,' thought Chag, 'Where the hell are these guys coming from?' Behind him, the Intern rushed in and began to stab at the beast with his tazer. Chag detatched himself from the ceiling, and was about to swoop down in what he thought would be a heroic manner when the lights shut off. "*BS*!" Chag reached into his wings and tugged out his flashlight; the shining beam immediately illuminated the fight between Intern and Zombie. Chag thrust the torch between his handlebars and raised his shotgun. [A] Chag attacks Zombie Slig with Broken Shotgun. (If I can try to shoot it, that, otherwise just hit with it.) |

Zalik ran towards the Slog hut, Drill in hand as Unit 23's grenade went off. Zalik always hated explosions but there was nothing he could do about it, he began to drill through the screws and metal plates holding the hut together. The drill was surprisingly sturdy and with a stroke of luck went through a major screw, causing the hut to tremble and begin to fall apart. The lights went out and suddenly a SkeleSlig jumped Randy but Zalik was not aware of this until he heard Randy's muffled yell. "What? And leave him under attack?" Zalik said in reply to Unit 23, he raised his Blitzedge to help Randy when fatigue caught up with him and the Blitzedge sunk to the ground. "I won't be of any help." He said in between breaths "I can barely keep up." Almost collapsing he sat down in the shadows near Unit 23 "so what's your plan?" [E] Zalik checks for any more enemies *Dice Roll* [M] Zalik stays in B3 |

IC: Nodding at Furlong, Kipricat scurried after him. Realising he now had an alternative to the clumsy tazer, he tossed it away carelessly and tried to fix the broken SMG. 'It can't be that hard,' he thought as he looked for the cause of it's disfuntion. While he fiddled with it, he wondered what he would do with the UXB bomb. 'I guess I could throw it at something if I wanted to... A lot of good that would do. Unless I could turn it on and make it explode. Then it would be kind of like a grenade that explodes on impact.' He continued to ponder the use of a UXB.

Unit 23 looked at Zalik with a sly face and smiled a little, he didn't enjoy the prospect of a meat shield but the plan was so masterful and cunning it could work,
"Watch, eventually them out there will either die off or bring those huts down, if they succeed, excellent, if not, better them than us!" He tapped the pistol on his friends mask and a terrible grim evolved from the smile, pure menace filled his visors, "every team needs a bad," he laughed and motioned further into the tunnel. IC: Chag knocked the side of his gun and something clicked into place. He closed his eyes and pulled the trigger. Miraculously, the gun worked, but the effect left something to be desired. A chunk of the Zombie Slig's head was blown away, but it just seemed to get angry. He could hear voices from back up the line, and just hoped it was Furlong and Kripicat coming back for him. A monster growl from nearby made him look ahead. "There's gotta be some monsters up ahead. I'll go in first. Chag and Kipricat, back me up" Furlong crept slowly to the Zombie Big Bro Slig and then commenced his attack. [M] Furlong moves to A4. Randy landed a shot on the Skeletal Slig and moved further along the line. He quickly found some powerful weapons before he saw the approaching monsters. 'Get em!', he mumbled. IC: Satisfied that his new weapon seemed to be in working order, Kipricat listened to Furlong and was just about to follow him when he heard something awful. Like twelve elums moaning at once through a horn. *Coin-flip for paralysis* Kipricat's brain seemed to be trying to shut itself down, although through sheer force of will, Kipricat managed to hold onto sanity (Actions taken if Kipricat is not paralyzed.)
Moving forward with new-found terror, Kipricat clutched his SMG closely. The sight that awaited him did not help. A zombie mudokon and a huge slig zombie. Deciding that Furlong had the slig in hand, Kipricat went for the mudokon. The mudokon would probably be easier to dispatch than the slig. Kipricat held the trigger for his SMG and aimed straight at the Zombie mudokon. *Coin-flip to see if actions are taken* [M] Kipricat follows Furlong into A4 [A] Kipricat opens fire on the zombie mudokon with his SMG *DR* [QH] Kipricat sprays the zombie mudokon with bullets from his SMG *DR* |
OOC: Does 'Dying' mean I can leave the Zombie and it will die on its own, or is there a 'Dead' status and I need to finish it off?

IC: The Zombie Slig toppled over with a squelch. 'Yeah, don't rush to help or anything, guys,' Chag thought. He rose up and [M] (Chag) flew into A4. "More zombies? What the *BS* is going on?" he shouted, but he was beginning to feel he might know. "I'll go for the big one, Furlong!" [A] Chag attacks Zombie Big Bro Slig with Shotgun. |
Unit 23 watched with careful trepidation, calculating his friends strengths and weaknesses but when he heard the rumble of machinery he turned to find a flying slig coming towards him. Unit 23 controlled his breath and waited for the motorised corpse to pass by then, with a deep sigh, he charged out of the cover and fired a volley of shots at the sligs harness, if he could disable the mechanism or damage the rotors, the creature would be powerless and hey, if it didn't explode, no doubt the creature would have to try and drag itself across the floor...still connected to it's burning wreckage. Unit 23 grinned as the bullets exploded from his gun.

Zalik plunges his spining drill into the arm of the SkeleSlig crunching through the bone all the way to the marrow. Thinking it was enough to finish the thing off Zalik pulled out the drill with a crack and ran after Randy. Zalik saw the two new enemies luckily they hadn't got the jump on them this time. Then Zalik heard the bones of the SkeleSlig creep up behind him letting out a skin crawling growl, causing Zalik to quiver and lose his thoughts *Fear Coin Flip*. *If not overcome with fear* He went to accept whatever it was Randy was trying to hand to him and focused his attention on the monsters. Seeing that Randy running towards the Zombie Mud with a Blitzedge of his own, Zalik had to decide whether to go for the Flying Slig or the SkeleSlig. Suddenly Unit 23 came flying out of the shadows firing at the flying Slig. OOC: If Kipricat cannot move, then how is it he is A4 with the tall zombie? By all rights, Kipricat should still be in A3 paralysed with fear. Unless he can move but not attack. I will roll with the second option here, because that requires less editing of your post, and it makes things a little more interesting.
IC: Kipricat had moved into A4, but he had lost all control of himself. It wasn't until a tall mudokon punched him in the arm by a tall mudokon, that Kipricat regained control. Inhaling deeply, as an intern cannot actually gasp, he clutched his arm. It was a very hard punch. Taking some steps back, Kipricat took out his SMG and this time actually fired at the mudokon. D'OH! I called the Blitzknife a Blitzedge in my last post :p IC: Zalik covered his head as the SkeleSlig's groan vibrated through him, fear welling up inside again. He managed to hold on to himself and gratefully, but with a shakey hand, took the object Randy was offering him and stuffed it into his Slig Pants. He turned and ran at the SkeleSlig and sliced in an upward motion with his Blitzknife, through the bone of the creature's leg. The SkeleSlig collapsed into a heap. Zalik turned around to help the others but found the Mudokon zombie standing right in front of him, swinging it's arms towards him. He just managed to jump back before the zombie struck him and swung his Blitzknife in response. [A]Zalik attacks the Short Mudokon Zombie with his Blitzknife *Dice Roll* |

Unit 23 growled at the creatures lack of concern, he duly noted the bullet crash dig into it's arm but it barely impeded the things movement. Unit 23 reared up and took a step back, the flying slig had darted forward and was beginning a bombing run. Perhaps he could shoot a bomb, as it came out of the chute and blow that **** up? He waited for the first bomb and fired...

"You need this" He then looks around and moves to the next area. As Furlong stepped into the next part of the subway, he could see Randy. "Randy, great timing. Let's take care of that Slog Kennel over there (A5). Tell the other guys to attack the Hellhound Slog and the Zombie Sligs over there" He takes aim with his Arctic Vulture. [E] Furlong heals Chag with a medical kit. Chag: Healthy -> Very Healthy [I] Furlong gives Chag a medical kit. [M] Furlong moves to A5. [A] Furlong fires his Arctic Vulture into the Slog Kennel. *DR* [QH] Furlong fires his Arctic Vulture into the Slog Kennel. *DR* Randy turns off his Blitzknife and runs over to Zalik with a medical kit. He makes a muffled noise and then walks to the next area. The Alpha line and Bravo line both run parallel to each other at this point. The subway area is enlarged so that both of the lines are side by side. Close combat from one line to the other is impossible, but guns and launchers could be used to help people on the other side of the subway. He spots Furlong and mumbles 'Leave the kennel to us, attack those Sligs!' He aims his rocket launcher and pulls the trigger. [E] Randy heals Zalik with a medical kit. Zalik: Injured -> Healthy [M] Randy moves to B5. Unit 23 smiled as the fiery explosion sent licks of plasma across his face and a burst of light down the tunnel. He was glad to get some one to one action but the rest of the team seemed to find killing things even in groups, a problem. He shrugged his shoulders, there must only be one true explanation...he was awesome. Damn the MG were lucky not to execute him. He wandered back to the group to see the mess they had made, hoping to find a few dead creatures but when he spotted a troop of new units he decided it was time to bring the pain by the whole group, he looked around for things he could use as a makeshift barricade and when he spotted some steel girders and rotting wood slats, probably left over from the railway work, he set about hauling them together.
Within minutes a veritable barricade was up and he set himself down, waiting for the next wave, he could happily hold off here for a while at least until there was nothing left to scavenge. "Hey guys, hurry...more coming...in barricade now," he turned and fired a shot off at the hellhound slog knowing it would reach him first. "Come on you b******!"
