I gathered that Fangus is more actiony than stranger. Probably a cross between Incedible Hulk and Stranger. Supposely he is dying from "rabbies," Then there much be some crazy and brutal elements.

Could've been awesome then, it could've been one of those rare games that kill off the protagonist at the end. Those are truly the best kinds of games.

I'm not sure the fact that the main characters dies at the end of the game affects the overall quality of the game. Anyway that blind rage could have be fun to play with, plus I always like when the main character goes insane when the game goes on.

Yeah but we love Abe's personality, his naivety and untraditional character traits are an essential part of the Abe games. I don't think the Abe games would've been the same without Abe and even though I liked Stranger's Wrath quite a lot I associate Oddworld with Abe more.

But if they want to make a new character I'm not gonna stop them, we'll always have the Abe games.

I have the same feelings Hazel-Rah. Abe was a good character, and I liked his childish innocence, aside from the fun and challenging gameplay. Fangus would be a cool game I suppose, but I like Abe because he's not the tough anti-hero that so many game developers try to create to make their games hip and edgy.

Abe is definitely someone to remember in my life. I DO hope they make more of him, but it's probably not likely.

Nah, AO was just magical, I'm sure the people working on the new game want to get back to their roots, besides Abe's story isn't done ;)

Are you all INSANE??? Fangus looked absolutely NOTHING like an Oddworld game with a character that looked FAR too human, and had a horribly bland "scifi futuristic war game" look to it that absolutely disgusted me, and I am both relieved and grateful this piece of crap was cancelled before it marred such an amazing series. Let me reiterate: Fangus looked TERRIBLE and was not special like the other games, the ONLY aspect about it that I found interesting was the part where he was going to be losing sanity with a form of rabies. That might've been a good idea if the game had the "LOOK" of Oddworld but it didn't.

Fangus = practically human - I expect more from a game called ODDworld. BAD IDEA :fuzmad:

You do realize that it was just concept art right? The game graphics go a long way from their original concept art.

I was really looking forward to this game, I liked the darker world, and the return of gamespeak with the same mechanics of Strangers wrath, and I wanted to see Oddworld make a rated M game, so they could get away with what they wanted to do without being so restricted by the ESRB.
