I would love to see an Oddworld RPG game although I don't really know how you could implement the gameplay or story, not to mention to create a fully working RPG will be ball-gripping work.

A RTS game, however, is a more reasonable option but it wouldn't have the "odd" feel to it, if you know what I mean.

i vote for an mmorg, where users can join a tribe in a 3d virtual world, and have their own tent that they can customise the interior of by purchasing objects.. and you earn the money by doing tasks and having battles with other tribes. There could be lots of minigames where you could, for example, have an elum race with a member from another tribe.. race your pet elums around a course, which has obstacles and weapons that u pick up and throw at each other, like mario kart/ crash team racing...

Oh, and there should be a leader of the tribe who is elected by the members. And that tribe leader has command on the formation of troops in the battle, and can delegate roles.

If a tribe gets 20 or more members, you are forced to split into two separate tribes, but those tribes will automatically have good relations with one another initially. And then your tribe will lose out on money, and not be able to purchase new weapons and technology etc.

There should be farms, and farmers, and other tribes should be able to sneak over to your farm and destroy crops.

Scraby, there used to be a very interesting group of people known affectionately as OWIFG or more recently, Fanwerkz, I created OWIFG but a long lost member named Joshkrz helped me with Fanwerkz, he provided a forum and we collected together to make 'Fillin's Proclamation'. The thing is it went really well and we had an engine but it all fell apart after Christmas, we where very dedicated so I'm just saying. Many people don't have the time or patience for a slow moving, unpaid remake. I will help you anyway but I'm just saying. Anyway go RPG's!

Why don't you use the engine you had as a base for this project?

yeah u could do that if you have it still,then we make maps quests,burrow or make models and that :D

I never recieved a copy, I just was the idea guy and designer and story writer, not tech guy, I don't know if the game was in lash as well

well we could be elite designers,now we need to recruit ppl so we could make the game together,i wont force ppl to do 24/7 game making if they cant.

i have flash so i guess i could contribute, but i'm not an expert so i probably wouldnt advise me.

I think, I will join as artist and idea engine but I can't add to much else besides producing, would we be doing it in unreal, flash, Gm or whatever Nowtun is making his remake in?
