AO and AE's backgrounds were mattes built from scratch with 3D modeling and plenty of image manipulation. It would have taken alot of time, money, and memory - three things OWI didn't have at the time - to recreate that look in a navigable, three-dimensional environment. They certainly did better in that regard with SW though. |
I love pre-rendered graphics, they're totally nostalgic.

yeah i know what you mean, but the CUTSCENE graphics in AE/O were definatly better than the GAMEPLAY graphics in MO.
