You can't just turn "3 down. 1 to go." in to "75% done"; AO and AE didn't need near as much work to get ready as MO and SW. I would call it more like 'Potentially approaching half done, maybe"

I think the idea behind his post was a general lack of satisfaction at this news since everything is being pushed forward, on a plus side thoug we know oddworld isn't as dead as we expected, perhaps the cash from this will fund future developments?

If this ever happened to be the case, I hope only a select few of those achievements are chosen... A lot of the achievements in that thread are really bad.

Run the game under windows 95? Now there's an achievement if I ever saw one.

Considering Scrabs and Sligs never occur on the same path, I must conclude that you are using some exotic new definition of the phrase "extreally easy" with which no one in the world is familiar.

Bonus rant: Google returns 13 thousand results for "extreally".

"Find the condemned RuptureFarms door in the FeeCo Depot lobby"... certainly that one is extreally easy, seeing as you can't finish the game without passing through that screen.

Portal has an achievement for getting the portal gun. Nuff said.

Plenty of games have acheivements that are simply markers at certain points of the game. The equivalent for AO would be

• Escape from Rupturefarms
• Traverse Stockyards
• Experience Monsaic Lines
• Venture through Paramonia
• Relight all of the Paramonian Temple
• etc

Just walking past a certain background element would be fairly pointless though.


I suspect that the acheivements will probably also relate to number of muds rescued/killed and finding secret areas.

I'm new in this forum. I'm glad to be here. I cant wait for the oddbox( I hope that you dont change your mind and release this fantastic games for the pc). Because this is the best news of this year for me. So I'm waiting and buy the oddbox in the first day of release! :)

Nope. The only way to get the Oddbox will be through Steam.

The only way to get the Oddbox will be online. They may choose to make it available on other online stores, such as GOG.

I think it's great that they're releasing all games on PC. For people who really wish they could play AO/AE on xbox or whatever, just get them on PC instead and buy a USB controller if you really want to. Any modern PC however modest should be able to run AE/AO/MO and even stranger smoothly.

It will be really cool if SW had a new Online feature sort of like Team Fortress 2 or Call of Duty. 'Stranger's Wrath: Deathmatch' or somthing on them lines

Fuck yeah! Obviously people who liked Oddworld's puzzle solving game play and storytelling would hate this game with a passion but for me, if it's got Oddworld in it and it's *FUN* then suck it to me baby!

Nah, nothing about that takes my fancy at all. Abes oddysee FPS would be shite, 2D all the way. 'Deathmatch'...whats the piont? Strangers wraths' gameplay wouldn't really work in that type of mode.
