I implore anyone with the WH40K 4th Ed. RB to read the 'Thought for the day' at the bottom of each page. They perfectly sum up the oppressive, paranoid society of the Imperium. For those without, a selection of them are here.

"A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death."

Well, which is it? Is she an angle witch or an angel witch? We all know that it's impossible to be both.

It's a British band, so angle witch is most probable. smartass

Hopefully you will realize how shit and corny those lyrics are at some point in the near future.

I find that the lyrics of a great many songs seem to be a meaningless conflagration of words arranged in a pseudo-grammatical order that serve no purpose besides justifying the salary of the lead singer. That doesn't stop a song from being one of the greats, but it is one of the reasons I like parodies and songs from musicals, which actually have a topic (and often manage to be about something besides love and/or sex).

Also, for obvious reasons lyrics from this album meant a lot to me two years ago. |

Edit: As lyrics go, I still really like these. On the way to god don't know my brain's the burger and my heart's the coal I'm trying to get my head clear i push things out through my mouth i get refilled through my ears i'm on my way to god don't know or even care my brain's the weak heart, and my heart's the long stairs Inland from Vancouver shore the ravens and the seagulls push each other inward and outward inward and outward in this place that i call home my brain's the cliff, and my heart's the bitter buffalo my heart's the bitter buffalo we tore one down, and erected another there the match of the century: absence versus thin air on the way to god don't know my brain's the burger and my heart's the coal on this life that we call home the years go fast and the days go so slow |
More Modest Mouse from Oanst. How astonishing.
It's pop music. They lyrics don't have to make sense. If I want meaning, I normally just go by own, personal interpretation and I'm satisfied. |

Please let's not get into lyrics. Save it for the Music thread and we'll listen to them.

This one is for WoF's brother.
I've been eatin' with a good friend who said "A genie made me out of the earth's skin" But in spite of her she is my birth kin She spits me out in her surly blood rivers All the people I'm lurkin' Are dominions of the hot Turk dish If the elephants be reaching for our purses Then meet me after the world with the shivers And here's the song: |
