"Least funny member" maybe? Or is that rude and unfunny?

"Most unintentionally unfunny member"?

T-nex 12-08-2009 05:42 AM

What about "member who always takes it too far"

OANST 12-08-2009 07:33 AM

We could probably do away with the Best Couple award. That's my only suggestion.

MA 12-08-2009 08:17 AM

if we do, i reckon it should be replaced with 'The Oddworld Forums Double Act', widens it out a bit.

Wil 12-08-2009 08:22 AM

That's exactly the same award under a different name.

MA 12-08-2009 08:31 AM

i thought the 'Best Couple' was for members that had met each other or were humping?

OANST 12-08-2009 08:35 AM

What would the double act be?

used:) 12-08-2009 08:41 AM

All my nominations are porbably only going to vary among 6-7 members.

I still suggest:

Best member who left then came back.

We have some good choices for that one, actually.

Wings of Fire 12-08-2009 08:48 AM

I suggest not being able to vote for one member for more than two/three awards. Just to even things out a bit.

used:) 12-08-2009 08:55 AM

Maybe even just two. I mean, I think the forums will be pretty polarized on who deserves what.

Wings of Fire 12-08-2009 08:59 AM

Yeah, we tend to have yearly winners: Nate, Bullet Magnet, OANST.

I think that's largely unfair on some of the members who are overlooked enough not to get any awards but not overlooked enough to get the 'Underrated' award.

Fan Corner Suite should probably be exempt from this rule however.

OANST 12-08-2009 08:59 AM

I don't think it's that serious. You should be able to vote for whoever you want for the award.

Plus, the awards would not accurately describe how we feel anymore. Yeah, I'm not on board.

used:) 12-08-2009 09:02 AM

Yeah, I agree with Oanst now. I was looking down the award and already plan on putting "NA" on some of them. Our forums just aren't that diverse anymore.

Wings of Fire 12-08-2009 09:07 AM

Eh, I stand unstood.

OANST 12-08-2009 10:02 AM

Plus, let's say that you spend your two votes on Sekto for awards that others don't spend their two votes on him for. Now, Sekto doesn't get any of the awards that he would have because people could only vote for him twice, but didn't vote on the same things (even though they wanted to vote for him on the others, as well). It doesn't work.

Wings of Fire 12-08-2009 10:18 AM

Two votes on Sekto?

Seriously though, I can see why MY PREVIOUS SUGGESTION won't work. I just thought it might even things out a bit.

shaman 12-08-2009 10:24 AM

Creator of the greatest meme

That's all i got.

Sekto Springs 12-08-2009 10:34 AM

I don't think there should be a per-person vote limit. If you think one person fits five awards, then that's fine.

Tally them up from there. I don't see the problem really.

shaman 12-08-2009 10:35 AM

If you can find a person worthy of five of those awards at once.

used:) 12-08-2009 10:38 AM

Oh, it's possible. A lot of people run clsoe too, so I plan on diversifying my nominations.

so I plan on diversifying my nominations.

Same, I'm not giving Mr MVP anything else.

Sekto Springs 12-08-2009 10:40 AM

Can you nominate yourself, or is that to be met with several "Man what a dick"s?

Wings of Fire 12-08-2009 10:42 AM

Procedure and Rules

So whadaya do now? You need to vote for which member (or members) you feel is most deserving of each award, either posting them here or sending them privately to me by email or PM. Don't vote for yourself, don't submit more than one set of votes, and don't tell other people to vote for you if you don't want me to remove your elagibility to win anything!

This

Sekto Springs 12-08-2009 10:45 AM

Man what a dick.

Bullet Magnet?

Me? It's me, isn't it?

Wings of Fire 12-08-2009 10:49 AM

I'm not saying who I'm voting for here >.>.

Pussieeeeeeeee.

Decided on the new categories, yet?

Sure, give me another award to win on a yearly basis. :fuzemb:

I hate to tell you this, but Leto and Pilot would be better candidates than you.

Havoc 12-08-2009 11:17 AM

Is that an indicator that I should kick it up a notch or what?

OANST 12-08-2009 11:20 AM

Maybe.

If this was an award I would win it.

Wings of Fire 12-08-2009 12:13 PM

You won the underrated award two years ago.

OANST 12-08-2009 12:21 PM

The reason why you would vote your second choice instead of your first still eludes me. It seems rather silly.

Crashpunk 12-08-2009 12:39 PM

I got nominated Most Annoying Member in March.

Man that ruined my day...

OANST 12-08-2009 12:42 PM

Did you win?

Strike Witch 12-08-2009 12:47 PM

You won the underrated award two years ago.

Yes, which meant my award winningness resulted in a boost up so now I can't win the underrated.

used:) 12-08-2009 12:57 PM

Count your blessings. It used to be Sydney was the only one with a pink custom title.

OANST 12-08-2009 12:59 PM

We should have a Most Likely to Hheeegh award.
