OOC: DRAT! I will stand for NOTHING but perfection!!!
IC: "What's this?" said Krivzee, finding the headsets fuzzy...Maybe he could fix it... Krivzee fiddles with his headset while walking in the south-west area. He had noticed a glukkon was following him. Good, he's got back-up. Bad, he'll hear him scream if it gets any more creepy than it already is. Also it's dark. Oh he is SO going for the electrical room, which should be east, considering a map which he pulled out of his pocket. Krivzee turns to the glukkon behind him while walking. "C'mon let's go to the electrical room. I can barely see." Krivzee attempts to improve the headset's signal (requires dice roll. Remember he's a technician). |
"Okay Kipricat, since you havn't got a partner and i'm probably not going to stand a chance alone, i'll go with you" said Rigel.
Rigel moves to C Rigel looks around for anything useful (Require dice roll) |
Hey Mars, that's a bit of overkill considering Krivzee's headset already works fine, but you're permitted to do that. Just to let everyone know, there are items hidden around all of the locations, so be sure to look everywhere.
Sorry about this whole Jack situation, it looks like he's quit for good. We might have to have his character killed by the Creeper. I'm more annoyed with Jack now, for deleting his posts. |
Just a question alex. Can we do two things if the second thing is dependant on the first thing for example;
Bob digs his finger into his ear to find some wax. *Requires dice roll* Bob trys to eat the wax without vomiting. *Requires dice roll* |
The second action (requiring the first action to succeed) would fail if the first action fails.
|
OOC: @AlexFili: Just an idea to make this run a little more smoothly; would it be possible to post a link to the map in all your official 'Hour ...' posts? Looking into the future, it would mean we wouldn't have to go back to the first page to quickly look at the map. I know it seems unneccesary, but I with W@RF it's a real pain. Oh and BTW, the clicking of the light switch was for my handheld flashlight. I thought the factory power had been cut.
IC: Chag squinted as a searing flash of light beamed out of the end of his torch. Pointing it around the gloomy corridor as he juddered along, he wondered how they were going to find their way back. All the corridors looked the same. The path finally opened into an enourmous facotry floor, and as his light darted over the people wandering in around him, the murky darkness started to make him feel uncomfortable. Carefully flying upwards, he checked the ceiling's tangled pipes, wires and rafters for anything of intrest *Dice roll* (Any power cables that could be reconnected, abandoned tools), before disengaging his wings and casually swinging around the room. EDIT: I'm in B now, BTW. |
Awww. You have no since of humour Alex! The new one is quite alot less disgusting.
IC: Mr H twiddled they dials on his headset, but received no luck. "Aww, crap," he growled, "Just a shit-load of static!". Mr H then tried to fix the the faulty headsets but after no success and a couple of electric zaps he gave up. "To hell with this piece of crap," he said, throwing the headset aside. "Oh well," he thought "If I'm going to be stuck communicationales I may as well stick with someone. "Hey, leader bloke!" Mr H says to Moyris can I roll with you!" "And what is there in this room to pinch?" Mr H wonders. Mr Hapaloch throws his headset to the ground. Mr Hapaloch searches the area. *Requires dice roll* Mr Hapaloch attempts to communicate with Moyris. |
OOC: Sorry Meech. I like the idea of a live map though, i'll work on it.
Basic things like talking and moving to another area will usually not require a dice roll. |
Guekko looked around the area, his eyes glowed but they would hardly be any good for more than someone else locating him, even so he did not find the darkness too bad. He slowly stepped up behind the Slig, the difference in height enabling him to peer at the map this Slig was holding. Scuttling back a pace as the Slig moved, with a nod and a comment of 'As you wish.', he followed the Slig, his eyes scanning around him as he walked in case there was anything useful around.
Guekko checks around for any useful items *Requires dice roll* |
You sneaky...ah, what the heck.
Also, if fixing this headset ends in a 1, it blows up in my face. 2 and it electrically shocks me. |
IC: Rook found a flashlight and pistol under the seat. they looked well used, he hoped they still worked. He attached his new gear to his belt for later use.
After he was geared up, he walked inside of the factory. It was very dark, but he could see just enough without his flash light. "I'm going to look for a power box" Rook announced on the radio. Rook spotted a stairway and made his way down thinking a power box might be stored.(Dice roll) |
IC: Dore snatched the hammer from the mudokon and replied to his snarky comment; "No thanks, muddy. you just get on with that rust-scrapin'."
Dore walked away from the jeep, thinking it may have been better to ask Riles if there was any firearms around, but he wasn't going to go back and talk to him now. wielding the hammer, he walked to section B, noticing the rest of the team already filtering in. (i'm going to have a look around for items when i get in the factory, i think its best for now to hurry up and get in there first). Dore moves to B |
= End of Hour Two =
Notes: I'd recommend everyone to start fanning out for now and checking all the rooms for items. You'll be able to find seperate places when you get to C and D. Dice Roll Results; Moyris looks in the glove compartment of the Jeep. - 2 (failed to find anything) Riles continues to fix the Jeep. - 5, Jeep is fixed a bit more *BYRON LOOKS AROUND THE AREA* - 1 (only finds one thing, a large Steel Drum. This can't be picked up but could be used in some other way) Krivzee attempts to improve the headset's signal. - 3, the headsets signal is improved. Rigel looks around for anything useful (Require dice roll) - 3, finds an Ice Knife and a Medipack Chag checked the ceiling's tangled pipes, wires and rafters for anything of interest - 1, finds a loose cable. It has two power jacks on either side of the cable. Mr Hapaloch searches the area. - 6, he finds a Paramite Pie, a Medipack and a Tazer. Guekko checks around for any useful items - 1, he finds a Slicemaster. (Special kind of salad cutter) Rook spotted a stairway and made his way down thinking a power box might be stored. - 6, He walks down the stairway reaches the door and pulls, only to realise that the door is jammed. However, he did find a square key. Perhaps this activates the electricity supply? The Creeper : Hour Three --------------------- Narrator: The survivors manage to find some items, but will they be of any use? = * = * = Moyris sighs, "Okay everyone", he talks through the headset, "Fan out and see if you can find the electricity room. It should be marked as H on the map". Moyris shuffles around and checks the transmitter to see if it works (dice roll). Moyris grunts and picks up his headset again, "No Hapaloch you cannot 'roll with me', whatever that means" Riles chuckled, "Farewell Sliggy". Riles continued to fix the Jeep (dice roll). Byron sighs, the Steel Drum not being very useful. He heads over to C. Edit: Byron looks for a power supply for his flashlight (dice roll). ======== MAP INFO ======== I don't know how to do a map which can be updated, but here is my attempt at a more refined map. Everyone is in B with the following exceptions; Moyris, Riles are in A. Byron, Rigel are in C. |
Whoops my bad. I thought Moyris was in B.
EDIT: WTF Jack? You could quit nicely whithout deleting your posts. |
IC: Dore trudged blindly about in the dark, realising far too late he didn't have a torch. he walked forward, stumbling over an uplifted tile on the factory floor, and dropped the hammer he was holding. cursing, he fumbled around in the darkness feeling around for it (dice roll to determine whether he finds anything else).
feeling the rubber grip of the hammer, he seized it and took a few steps to the side, saying into his headset; "could someone get the damn lights workin' please?". taking one step too far, he fell down the stairs Rook had just travelled down, sideways, landing in a heap at the bottom. "We really need lights in here, boss." He said into the headset, aggravated. Dice roll to determine whether he finds an item Dice roll to determine whether he crashes into Rook at the bottom of the stairs Dice roll to determine whether he broke his headset in the fall |
Rook pockets the square key
Rook tries to identify friend of foe of the mysterious fighure that just rolled down the stairs (Dice roll) If Rook does not confirm that it is Dore, he attemps to hit him with his flash light(dice roll) |
OOC: So much for teamwork, seems as though a little bit of a scuffle will happen :)
|
OOC: Sorry I'm late.
IC: "There", said Krivzee, having fixed the headphones to maximum potential. He continues to the electrical room. Inside, he tells the glukkon "Take a look around while I fix the lights". He heads to the controls, opens them and starts tinkering with the wires to fix the electricity. "Attempting to fix the power for the lights" he says on the headset. Krivzee tries to fix the power (dice roll). |
After being rejected Mr Hapaloch decided he'll try again. "Who the hell is gonna watch my back in here!" he screams into his headset.
Mr Hapaloch requests partner. |
Guekko's hand landed against something on the floor, wondering what it was he slid himself onto the ground, hand picking up whatever it was. Hmph, he didn't even know what it was, but it was something. With a shrug, he manouvered the thing into a pocket on his suit before wriggling himself to his hands again. He padded along the route that the slig had taken.
Guekko follows Krivzee |
OOC: Jeebus caheebucus, you guys got quite a bit ahead of me. I'll have to cathc up.
IC: Kipricat followed Rigel to C, hoping he wouldn't be left behind. Once there, he followed Rigel's lead and searched the area*requires dice roll*. Hoping he might find some lights, as neither he nore Rigel had brought any kind of light source. |
OOC: By the way, the Electrical Room (H) is connected to C, not B.
Anyone who made any reference to an Electrical Room should edit their posts please. Thank you. |
Rigel helps to scan the area with Kipricat (Requires dice roll)
|
IC:A roar is heard, and a hideous black tentacle latches on to one of the people in the building. The tentacle drags away the body while the person is still screaming!
OOC: Consider Seikyo Jack's character outta here (Whatever its name was). |
IC: As Krivzee worked on the machinery, he swore he heard a scream.
"Oh dear". |
IC: Kipricat stopped searching for a moment He had definately heard something. It could have been anything. He was scared now. Not dreadfully, but scared nonetheless. He hadn't liked the looks of this factory to begin with but now? Now it was begining to be too much.
OOC: It requires a coin flip for the being scared thing right? Cause Kipricat's scared of noises, and I suppose the scream counts. Also, this kind of cancels the dice roll. Edit: I edited the IC for reasons listed in the post below. |
To clarify, the only people that can directly hear the scream will be the ones in the room. For now we'll say it happened in B. Everyone else just hears 'a distant noise' and isn't affected. Everyone afraid of noises will need a coin-flip. Instead of missing a turn, they may run back to a previous area or drop one of their belongings.
By the way, you should really spread out and check all the rooms, like D and E. Especially H. = End of Hour Three = Moyris shuffles around and checks the transmitter to see if it works. - 3, transmitter barely works (but good enough). Riles continued to fix the Jeep. - 4, Jeep is fixed a bit more. Byron looks for a power supply for his flashlight. - 1, No luck (Byron is really unlucky eh?) Dice roll to determine whether Dore finds an item. - 4, Dore finds a Flashlight and spots the Steel Drum that Byron found before (no more items left in B). Krivzee tries to fix the power. - 1, failed. You need to get to H. Kipricat searched the area. - 6, he finds nothing. (no more items left in B). Rigel helps to scan the area with Kipricat. - 2, he finds nothing. (no more items left in B). = Scared Check = Dore - Heads, Dore is fine. Kipricat - Tails, Kipricat's fear makes him run to D. Sorry guys, there were only a few items in B. From now on, every character can move TWO spaces per turn. Hopefully this will enable everyone to spread out and find more items! The Creeper : Hour Four --------------------- The Creeper has finally appeared. This beast is so horrible that nobody can describe it without developing deep psychological trauma and going insane. Nevertheless, someone managed to draw a little doodle of The Creeper... (see post below) = * = * = Moyris tries to find out what happened in the factory, he heard a strange noise on the radio. "What was that sound?" Riles continues to fix the Jeep, as always. Byron turns around, "What was that noise? I'd better get going". Byron runs to D. OOC: Rook should definately head over to H right away and use the square key to restore power to the lights. I'd also recommend a trip to the armory, F to pick up some weapons. |
Rigel moves to H
Rigel scans the area for anything useful (Dice Roll) |
OOC: Whaddya mean? I was in H! However I did get a 1 so BOOM!
IC: "AH!", screamed Krivzee as the wires zapped his hands. They were rather scorched, but he should be alright. He tried again, this time he was determined to show his stuff. |
Mars, you're getting confused again. You couldn't go from B to H in one turn (prior to my revised rules). Also, your headset is fine so it doesn't go BOOM.
|
I'm talking about the electricity. Okay, but if this is turn 4 then if I start in A then:
1. move to B 2. move to C 3. move to H and try fix 4. fail fix and try again. So wouldn't that work? |
Mars, its an RPG, and in order for an RPG to work fluently you need to follow the rules and listen to people when they inform you about going wrong.
just go back and read the rules, they should answer the questions you just asked. @AlexFili: do you know the results for my other die rolls in my previous post, or was there no need to roll? just wondering. |
Okay okay... sorry.
Can we continue with the RPG? |
OCC: @MA: Maybe we should just use our judgement on this one and fill in the gap our selves. but just in case lets see what Alex has to say.
|
Wow, thanks for the support everyone :)
MA, you can disregard the rolls that I didn't mention. Basically, you can't attack someone who is on your side! Also, just have fun folks, don't get too upset about things :) |
OOC: i wouldn't call them "attacks". just funny encounters. but oh well.
IC: Rook seen Dore tumble down the stairs. "Man, we really need to get those lights working again". Rook walked back up stairs and announced his finding of the square key. "I found some sort of key, anybody found something with a Square lock?" Rook moves to c |
Guekko pulls his ears back at a noise, but gives no more reaction to it than that. Strange noises were bound to happen in such places. This noise was also soon sounded by another, the yelp of the slig he was following, eletrical wires gone awry. He moved up behind the slig, looking at what he was doing with these wires. 'This one is rather determined to get thigs right.' He thought to himself with a nod.
Guekko moves up behind Krivzee to observe what he is doing with these wires |
Guekko sees Krivzee fixing the electricity, whipping his hands around, moving wires and flipping switches. You may also notice that some electricity shocked his hands.
|
OOC: Holy shindig I'm late. Oh well, let's just say I was flying around the room for a turn. I thought the Creeper would be some kind of sentient plant. It looks a little like a Darkmantle.\/
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_WiKtqAJgWao/SI...darkmantle.jpg IC: Chag fumbled around in the dust as he searched for anything of interest. One loose cable swung out. Useless, he thought. What good is one end of a cable? He needed something that could be reconnected if this power was going to be fixed. Disengaging his wings to save his fuel, he began to idly swing around the room from the girders. Suddenly, a scream pierced the gloomy darkness. In his distraction he missed his intended rafter. '*BS!*' Clutching at air he began to plummet, tugging the ripcord on his wings just in time to swerve out of his fall. Panting, he hovered overhead of the column of people(?), effortlessly banking the corner and heading towards the Storeroom. He needed to find something to make sure he didn't end up in accidents like that again. *Moves to H-ish* OOC: It's not a great post, but I'm just trying to catch up with everybody else. |
Nice picture, where did you find it?
|
