I haven't updated this thread with anything new in a while, I've been pretty busy with other stuff. Mainly school, art block and shit =/ All I managed to do today was a few concept art/sketches, because I need to practice sligs a LOT.
So here's two sligs, one in my toon style and one not. Two scrabs, a young one and an older one and Zoe (again) bothering some intern friend of hers...she looking kinda suggestive :fuzemb: |

The scrabs are really cool; I love the little joke conversation there :p
The sligs are pretty good, too; I think the tails taper off sooner though, making them shorter. And Zoe is awesome as ever! :D Wonder what she's saying (or, you know, communicating) to the intern... |

A little update with something, again I can only manage sketches until this weekend when I can get to work on my contest entry, an art trade and stuff.
There's some head sketches of guys from Zoe's race and one of Zoe if she was a native and non of her being taken away to the labs had ever happened, it would be in her 'teen' years before she developed her fattiness...for those who are interested. The other is my contest entry, I just had to post it somewhere until I finished it and wrote a bit about them so I wont say much. I've had these guys in my head for a while now though, so I'll probably make a character out of it (the top left ;)) |
I love the native Dryadri (the open-mouthed guy looks a bit Hyena-y); it'd look great in colour. My only thought is how the bits of string or whatever between their pierced ears would work if their ears lowered to the sides of their head, like in the first picture of Zoe. I always sort of imagined the ears moving depending on the Dryad's mood.
And the water-creature is very cool, too. The legs look great and I love the little arms between the front legs, quite original. |

The sea-thing also I like, but it doesn't quite look as though it's built to swim well in the water. Nevertheless all these drawings are very nice, and I'd like to see some more. ~I want to post my own... but stupid scanner won't work D:< Enchilado |

All will be explained when I post my entry in the contest thread ;) I've written all I can think of explaining them and how they get around, so look out for it. Have you tried taking a picture? I know it'll probably turn out crap compared to a scanned picture, but it's better than nothing, right? :

Aww, people are losing interest :( probably because of my lack of fanart and so much original stuff.
But anyway, I haven't been drawing a lot lately but I have had the urge to write, which is weird because I never write! Memories of the unwanted Out here where the moon shines bright, Where only the strongest survive the night, Abandoned, freezing and departing the sane, With no one to help me get through this pain. When my life all went wrong, oh, the memories I see, Of what you sick bastards dared do to me, How could I not notice? Your ways are so sly, For making me believe what was all just a lie. I made my recovery and thought all would be well, Until back at work where the feeling was hell, The tension between my friends and my foes, Was too much to take, so of me you’d dispose. So now I’m here, starved and alone, With nowhere I can really call home, I’m wishing you realise what you have done, But you don’t care do you? Of that I’m certain. Don't slaughter me, I'm not a writer at all, but sometimes I do enjoy writing the odd poem (no pun intended). I've also worked my lazy butt off to write something about Zoe and her species, the Dryadri, so there's a word document explain everything relevant I could think of about them if anyone is still interested. I would really appreciate it if you did read it :) Questions are welcomed ;) I'm hoping to work on an Oddmas picture to put up too, because I never get round to drawing holiday pictures and I think it's about time I did one since I missed the chance to do something for Halloween. That doesn't mean I will though, it's a big if. |

Fleeches are far from cute if you ask me XD I can see the others being cute though, the boiler-room gluks in AE had cute-ish facial expressions. Gabbits are still the cutest in my opinion though :D

I am alive, I just haven't got very far with OW art for a little while, I've had a new character in my head for a while now, but am 'umming and arring' whether or not to get her down on paper. Yes, she'd be another girl because I'll tell you now that most of my characters are girls, I rarely draw males. Here's the updated version of Dionysia I posted in 'The Despicable' thread, now with sliver feather beads NOT GOLD >.< |
