I don't think this will last much longer but I will add my opinion, if only to be ripped to shreds by everyone.

I personally like cats more. Dogs scare the crap out of me when they bark. And when they can't actually get me, it annoys me. Cats just meow, hiss and do that reow thing. That doesn't strike me as unfriendly or annoying. I don't have either a cat or dog, but if it's one of those quiet big dogs, they are a nice companion. Cats just need to have both eyes (I once saw a rather creepy cat with just one eye.), and not scratch me when I come near it.

I can't stand the smell of cigarettes, I dare not even imagine what they must taste like.

My mum, dad, both aunties and my grandad have all been smoking since I can remember so I guess I'm used to it. I'm not too happy I smoke though, it cost way too much in the UK.

I know. I live there. I'd recommend trying to give it up, if not for health, then to save money. I know it's easier said than done, but you may as well try.
