So like, join Free Republic and pretend to be young evangelicals with lots of sticky questions about politics and philosophy?

moxco 04-27-2009 09:50 PM

I know Final Fantasy Forum! That way we can be double banned!

Strike Witch 04-27-2009 11:28 PM

No.

Sounds like a plan.

Reminds me of the time with the Goth chat room.

I was persuaded by another forum to troll a place called VGF. A good place to start for novice trolls.

Holy shit. I forgot we did that. That was a loooooong time ago.

Sometimes I forget that we used to talk on msn a lot.

Or the Flat Earth Society?

I actually did that a loong time ago :S
Had the nickname EarthFlowerGirl and acted like a total christian nutjob. What was funny is that I presented some extremely ridiculous ideas as to why earth was flat, and people actually started discussing and debating them.

Anyway that was my onetime trolling. Not really my thing, but it was fun while it lasted :P

Daxter King 04-28-2009 07:17 PM

The flat earth thing reminded me of a time someone began the arguing the moon did not exist at another forum I used to go to. Some people believed him, others took the bait.

Yeah, what the hell happened? You never answered my letters. I sent you hundreds!

On topic: Let's troll 4chan.

OddjobAbe 04-29-2009 10:23 AM

Oh, the delicious irony. Let's.

OANST 04-29-2009 10:41 AM

It wouldn't work. One drop in an ocean of piss, and all that.

OddjobAbe 04-29-2009 10:45 AM

I suppose you're right, but more to the point, it would be boring. Thinking about it, to troll 4Chan, you'd most likely have to submit lengthy paragraphs about something genuinely interesting, and you'd have them stumped.

Wings of Fire 04-29-2009 10:48 AM

Most wannabee trolls think anon are a load of gormless illiterate pansies, this often proves to be a most ironic assumption.

Strike Witch 04-29-2009 12:21 PM

Yeah, 4chan isn't as thick as you think it is.

Seriously, Republicans would be more fun.

I agree with Ghost. Is there a Glenn Beck forum anywhere?

shaman 04-29-2009 01:15 PM

Didn't alcar post a link to a christian forum in one of his blogs?

Everybody's thinking it i'm just saying it...

moxco 04-29-2009 10:20 PM

Shaman is about to get religibashed.

Strike Witch 04-29-2009 10:43 PM

Okay, let's all suggest forums we personally think are worth trolling, then vote on it.

moxco 04-29-2009 11:54 PM

What would be the most nerdiest forum on the web?

worth trolling,

Opinions differ greatly on what is "nerdy", and even if they didn't there'd be no point. We'd just feel like dicks (or at least I would).

I suggest the Flat Earth Society (thanks, BM for reminding me). I am very interested in how they think people can travel to other countries if they think that horizons mark the end of the world.

Anonyman! 04-30-2009 02:28 PM

Essentially they use a lot of made-up and contradictory physics which is oh-so-believable because real scientists are all in the employ of the roundworld conspiracy, for which they still can't decide on a motive that doesn't involve working for the devil.

Strike Witch 04-30-2009 10:37 PM

Huh, I thought all the Flat-Earth forums were run by trolls now anyway?

mitsur 05-01-2009 03:43 PM

What forums aren't run by trolls now?

zing?

Once again, picture in your mind a round world. Now imagine that there are two people on this world, one at each pole. For the person at the top of the world, (the North Pole), gravity is pulling him down, towards the South Pole. But for the person at the South Pole, shouldn't gravity pull him down as well? What keeps our person at the South Pole from falling completely off the face of the "globe"?
Another reason why I vote the Flat Earth Society. This is the one of the most stupid parts of all. Where the fuck do they think the gravity's coming from? What the hell is there below the Earth that could possibly pull us down? Nothing. Fucking imbeciles.

:

In the small town of Grass Roots, MO, one of our members has successfully infiltrated the public education system. By being hired on as a teacher in the district, she was able to gain a foothold that has allowed us to "replace" nearly every lower grade teacher in the entire town with loyal Flat Earthers. The students are now undergoing deprogramming measures and are expected to be released when they reach their mid-thirties.
This had better be a fucking joke.

What am I saying? This had ALL better be a fucking joke. Just you dare tell me that these idiots don't deserve being mildly inconvenienced.

:

Using an elaborate setup involving hundreds of mirrors and a few burlap sacks, he was able to create an illusion
Something's telling me to laugh, but something's telling me to feel incredibly angry and wound up. I have to stop reading this shit.

Flat-Earthers don't believe in gravity (at least not on Earth, since that would cause the Earth's disk to collapse into a sphere), so they insist that for all time the Earth has been rushing upwards and accelerating at a rate of 9.8 m/s² to simulate gravity. Why? Good question, they're not exactly known for providing explanations, only asserting that science is both wrong and conspiring against them, though dark energy seems to be a popular "explanation" recently. Similarly for the causes of the phases of the moon (a shadow cast by an object undiscovered and undetectable by science). They don't even seem to recognise the distortion of distances in the southern latitudes caused by their model. I mean, look at it.

The real exact distance between Auckland, New Zealand and Santiago, Chile is 6011 miles, but on this map the same course would be between 20,000 – 30,000 miles. When asked, a real Flat-Earther us unable to hear the question.

OddjobAbe 05-03-2009 12:10 AM

I despair. I really do. It's unbelievable that such people walk this (very spherical) Earth. Arguing that the Earth was flat just sounds like something someone might do to cause a bit of controversy if bored. I cannot believe that these people are for real.
