My dad had to go to the Hospital, turns out he had pneumonia. Doesn't excuse him walking around with no pants on.

Chip off the ol' block, eh?

I was only on Live with him when it happened, and even I was traumatized. And then I made matters worse by trying to have a discussion about his parents having sex.

Fucking awkward.

Wow, that term is applicable in more ways than one.

Also it happened again later. I was falling alseep, Milo sitting somewhere nearby, when I hear rummaging in the hall. I have the SLIGHTEST opening in the door, and suddenly, dad crack.

I locked the door, but somehow Milo got out and pissed in my sister's room.

Update

Mexican Flu has officially reached my lovely country! Oh happy day! >_>
A 3 year old child was tested and Mexican Flu has been confirmed by lab testing.

In the mean time, the Mexican Flu is suspected to have spread to over 40 countries all over the globe.

Current statistics:

Infected: 4092

Deaths: 177

W.H.O HAS RAISED THE THREAT LEVEL TO 5.

There have been confirmed cases in Spain where the Swine flu has been passed on from human to human. In response to this the World Health Organization has raised the threat level to level 5 of 6.

:

Level 5: The same identified virus has caused sustained community level outbreaks in two or more countries in one WHO region. A pandemic is imminent.

- At this time the risk of airborne transmission of the virus is unknown. Most current cases are suspected to have been from physical contact only (as with normal flu, sneezing on someone, kissing, ect).

- There is no risk of getting the Mexican Flu from eating pork.

Also on a more humorous note: Egypt is not taking any chances and is having every single pig in the country killed.

Nemo 04-30-2009 04:26 AM

"Oh god no, the flu! We should all hide! It'll kill us AAAAAAAAAAALL!"

I think it's obvious that I'm not worried at all.

Laser 04-30-2009 10:40 AM

Damn you Madagascar!

wait...THIS IS REAL LIFE?

Actually, Swin flu has "infected" a school the next town from mine :D

ah well...it was nice knowing you all :tard:

Strike Witch 04-30-2009 12:21 PM

Huh/

Looks like it might be back to Singapore for me.

Voodoo Hand 04-30-2009 01:25 PM

On the front page of today`s paper there is a detailed article about the flu
and how it is progressing around the globe. As i looked at this i could not keep
from thinking about "Captain Trips" from the King novel The Stand.
Got to say, this creeped me out for a while, hope the book is not prophetic in any way.

On the lighter side there was an other article about how the name "Swine flu"
is offensive to some groups, mostly pork producers and Orthodox Jews, go figure.

Except that the two viruses differ in every way apart from the fact they're both viruses disregard that, Cap'n Trips was sent by God.

Well, that and one is fictions.
Though that somewhere in the text Ol` Randy laid claim to The Cap`n.

mr.odd 04-30-2009 01:57 PM

Well my town has the swine flu now. every one is freaking out and washing their hands like crazy, dont know how im staying calm.

Wings of Fire 04-30-2009 01:58 PM

And God lays claim to Ol' Randy, that book was practically built on the concept of Deus Ex Machina. From the deliberate stupidity of everyone who isn't a main character up to and including the bullshit ending. :P

d0mm2k8 04-30-2009 02:05 PM

My history and geography teachers recently went to Mexico, and they came back sick...

Oh come now, I have seen " The Flaming Hand of God " in Las Vegas several times, usually around 5:30 am. at the Wynn . :D

Evidently only the stupid are immune to Project Blue .

T-nex 04-30-2009 02:21 PM

Ok there's like 14 -potential- cases in Denmark. It hasn't been confirmed as far as I know. But anyway the media says that we're armored against the virus quite well, so I'm gonna blindly trust it and not worry... Worrying is bad.

Daxter King 04-30-2009 02:58 PM

A school district near mine closed today I think. There is word that mine might let us out early.

Yes because blindly trusting the media is a good thing.

Actually, the issue with The Jews is not that the name is offensive. The Israeli government/media has labeled the disease as 'Mexican Flu' because they figured the average man on the street would say "Well, I don't have any contact with swine, why do I need to worry".

Which either says a lot about the Israeli capacity for self-denial or the government's basic belief in the stupidity of their citizens. I'm putting my money on the latter.

mr.odd 04-30-2009 06:43 PM

:

MEXICO CITY (AP) - Mexican health authorities say they have confirmed 300 swine flu cases due to the virus among a total of 679 people tested so far. That's up from 260 confirmed cases announced just a few hours ago.

Less than half of the suspected cases tested have been confirmed as swine flu.

Health workers have visited the homes of 76 suspected victims and found only two cases in which relatives tested positive for an A-type flu virus which could be related to the swine strain.

Health Secretary Jose Cordova said Thursday that authorities have spent 1.6 billion pesos ($116 million) on medical supplies and equipment so far in the epidemic. The outbreak has caused a confirmed 12 deaths in Mexico.
This was on my local news.

Nate 04-30-2009 07:48 PM

I think the bigger worry right now is that a hundred-odd Mexicans have died unrelated to swine flu.

M-O-O-N that spells Earth! Laws, yes!

I woke up two nights ago at 2 AM convinced I had Swine Flu and that if I went to school I would kill everyone. I was wrong, since nothing happened the next day except for some coughing.

LOCK YOUR DOORS, MEXICAN DISEASE IS SPREADING

Nate 05-01-2009 01:23 AM

It's time for...

JOKE OF THE DAY!

It was said that a black man would be president when pigs flew. Behold, within 100 days into Obamas presidency... Swine flu!

AlexFili 05-01-2009 02:08 AM

Swine Flu works better than Killer Flu.

Hobo 05-01-2009 05:01 AM

London has cases. It's ok though, don't worry about me. I'm going to compromise my immune system with so much alcohol I'll be fine.

Havoc 05-01-2009 05:39 AM

On the official record there's one Mexican Flu death in the US. However this was a 23 month old infant from Mexico who's parents were visiting Texas. Why this death is added to the US list is beyond me.

So my school is closed for the next week, and I wont have to make up the days at the end of the year either. Win.
