OOC: Sligs have pockets?:D

Chronicler 04-12-2009 12:08 PM

OOC: Oddey, I'm no mod but please refrein yourself from posting pointless OOC things like that. Especially when there's no IC things in the same post.

IC: Hydra rolled her eyes at Nimol's question, her sharp teeth revealed themselves again. Wapi wearing slig pants? Yeah right. That's a sight as rare as seeing a friggin' Meech in the wild. Hydra told a fact of life. "Big cheif Wapi used to work in factories himself. Don't ya think that if he wanted slig pants, he would've brought them with him as well?" Hydra scoffed, but reluctantly cooled down. "No. The cheif doesn't want to wear slig pants out here. He claims they go against how sligs are supposed to naturally live." She rather much hugged the barrel in a mocking sense to the group of sligs. "Plus, pants mixed with his own mammoth weight would only help him slip and slide on the mud around this place." So far, she's not enjoying the ignorance of newbies. It sucks to have to watch this Nimol guy, especially since Wapi could've hired some other villagers to keep their eyes on him. Pfft. A new guy would mean lotsa explaining to do. Which also means .... a long day.

mr.odd 04-12-2009 02:28 PM

OCC: today I got lucky, ill try to post tomorrow.
IC: as Nimol and Typo began to talk to hydra, Khain noticed some rope right by were the barrels once stood. He set down the barrel and took a piece of rope and tied the both barrel and the bucket to the back of his armor. He then picked up his rifle and listened to the conversation. ‘Wapi in big bro pant’s would indeed be a sight, but it wasn’t the strangest thing that could come to mind.’ Khain also noticed that Hydra seem to be in a irritated mood today, he wondered why she even bothered with the newcomer. Maybe she didn’t trust him, what ever the reason. “well… we should get going, I will tell you my story on the way.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Agronack was still organizing his shelf when he heard a big *thud* behind him followed by a "Wassup Agro?" Agronack turned to find chief Wapi standing in the doorway of his hut, he wondered why the unsuspecting visit. “ chief Wapi, good to see you.” Agronack closed the chest and pushed it under the table so he could finish later. “Now how can I help you?”
AlexFili 04-12-2009 03:43 PM
Nimol gave Hydra a skeptical view, "Naturally live? So you're saying it's natural for a Slig to be dumped in the middle of nowhere, no pants, no weapon, left to fend for themselves? A normal-sized pantless Slig stands no chance out here, not with Scrabs and Paramites everywhere...", Nimol took a few deep breaths and settled down. He hadn't gotten really angry, just a bit annoyed. He looked at Hydra , "You'd be surprised how stable Slig pants are... when they aren't breaking down". He tapped his pants leg, just for effect.
Nimol started thinking to himself, "Doesn't matter what she says, I'm going to find some Big Bro pants for Wapi... the worst he can do is say no, and he'll probably thank me anyway". He looked at Khain, his focus shifting. "Oh right, I'm all ears mate".
mr.odd 04-14-2009 01:39 PM
OOC: well I’m back home.
IC: Khain followed Nimol up the river telling him a bit of his history. “well, I grew up like most Sligs, I was born in a barracks, I worked for many factory’s as security. I guess I’m just you average Slig… Well I did get into a mercenary group but that’s a story for another day.” Khain did not like to talk about the mercenaries, he only told Fawkes and Agronack. The fact that he mostly killed people for a living depressed him, and he could not tell any one of his failure, not even Fawkes or Agronack.
AlexFili 04-14-2009 02:06 PM
Nimol wasn't used to seeing another Slig on the verge of depression like this. "Whoa whoa mate, that's alright... Here, you could use one of these". He handed out a cig to Khain. "No offense Ty, but I didn't think you'd like cigs, if you don't like booze". He showed Typo the cig packet. "These aren't the proper cigs we used to smoke in the barracks anyway, only 20% tar cigs... a lot less toxic, cheaper too". He sighed and continued his way to clean water.
After a minute of walking he stopped, the river was much clearer down this path... an ideal place to pick up some fresh water. "Alright everyone, it's filling up time. Hydra, Typo, Khain, I assume you've done this before". He smiled and lowered his bucket into the water. After the bucket was full, he started walking towards his hut.
He was looking at the others, "So, is there any other locals around here I should know about? Is it only Sligs here or some other species too?".
mr.odd 04-14-2009 07:44 PM
IC: When the group stopped for water Khain un-hooked the barrel and the bucket from his back, he then filled the barrel up with the bucket. After he filled the barrel Khain then headed back to Nimol’s hut. “well, Fawkes and Agronack are muds. Fawkes is a bit interested in the industrial world and is okay with Sligs. Agronack is the village shaman he is well… a bit off, but he’s not completely crazy. Lately he has been trying to find a way to clean up the water, but we’ve have ran into some… complications.” Khain wondered what Agronack was up to now. Khain also wondered how this water fit into it. Khain pulled out the cig Nimol handed to him, he was about to light it but he remembered that he was wearing armor, his helmet made it difficult to smoke.
AlexFili 04-15-2009 12:44 AM
IC: Nimol placed the bucket into his hut, he walked back outside to talk with Khain. "Thanks for coming with me to get some water. I guess if this Agronack feller is trying to clean the water, that's where you'll be taking your bucket right?". Nimol smiled, "Good luck... you can keep the cig until you need it. See you round mate".
Nimol looked around the outside of his hut, but he couldn't see Typo or Hydra anywhere. Either they stayed at the river or they were just slow carrying the water back. Nimol had forgotten that both Hydra and Typo were smaller and weaker than the two male worker Sligs... Typo didn't have pants either.
Nimol sighed and walked into the hut. After about fifteen minutes, Nimol finally finished the cleaning in order to restore his hut to it's former glory... or at least, most of it. His back and arms were aching now, he wasn't used to physical work. "Man, that was tiring". He decided to take off his pants, activating Zapper mode and then crashing out on the bed. He never removed his mask, both out of habit and for identification purposes. It wasn't too hot now, so he kept his armor on. It was light armor so it rarely troubled him at all, not like that heavy Big Bro type. Within a few seconds he was fast asleep, some light snoring could be heard from outside of the hut.
Nimol was dreaming about his old security days. He could hear the voice of his Slig Captain. "Lose your mask, Lose your rank, Lose your life... You got that rookies?". The crowd of Sligs shouted "Yes Sir". The Slig Captain smiled, "I'll give you a crash course in security, listen well... Shoot on sight, Never sleep, Never show mercy, Think fast. If it looks like a Slig will point his gun at you, shoot him in the smeggin head and laugh". The crowd of Sligs were cheering now, their hands in the air. "CAPTAIN VASK, CAPTAIN VASK". Nimol mumbled, "What a Smeghead...", he drifted into a deep sleep.
OOC: I think many fanfics write that Sligs have some kind of pocket. Besides, where would they keep their Moolah/Ammo/Cigs? :D
Oddey 04-15-2009 03:29 AM
OOC: Sorry. I really couldn't resist pointing out that fault.
IC: Typo was having some dificulty getting the barrel into the water. Of course he had done this before, but it didn't make it any easier. Maybe if he sort of scooped it rather than dropping it in, which was his usual solution. Nah, that didn't work. 'Looks like it's going to be the hard way. Dropping the barrel right into the water, he waited for it to fill up. Now came the bad part about this. Pulling it back up. Reaching for it, he seemed to be lucky today, because he could just reach it. Pulling it up with all his might, it emerged from the water slowly. Then came the unavoidable. Bringing it back. 'Urgh.' though Typo. Dragging it in an awkward manner, he got halfway back before having to take a breather. 'I should've taken a smaller barrel. Khain and Nimol must be way ahead.'
mr.odd 04-15-2009 01:34 PM
OOC: Speaking of fanfics, I might post one about Khain. Maybe… well see if I can think of anything.
IC: After Khain and Nimol departed ways, Khain took both the barrel and the bucket up to the shaman’s hut. When he arrived he saw The chief and Agronack discussing something, Khain left the barrel and took the bucket with him back to his hut. From there on he left the bucket by the doorway and grabbed a fishing pole he made out of the scrap metal he found outside the village, He thought just incase he couldn’t find anything to hunt he might as well go fishing. After all cant go home empty handed. He then made his way out side the village, he crossed the river and was heading toward a lake he think might contain life (hopefully).
======================================================
Fawkes made her way to the entrance of the village, she then headed down the river to see if she could find Khain. On the way she instead found Typo struggling with a barrel, she walked up to offer some help. “need a hand?”
Oddey 04-15-2009 10:47 PM
IC: "Yeah. Maybe if you took one side, then I could take the other." Said Typo, grateful for the help. Taking up his side, he waited for Fawkes to pick up the other.
AlexFili 04-16-2009 11:39 PM
Nimol was shifting uneasily in his sleep. He was remembering something from his past. He was running down a corridor, being pestered by a group of Sligs, they had bags of powder in their hands, an eager smile on their faces. The dealer walked up to him and whispered in his ear; "I'm giving you some out of my own personal stash", Nimol didn't want anything that they had and tried to run faster, but didn't manage to get away. He muttered out loud, "No, I don't want any Splatterbrain, go away". After a few minutes, his erratic movements stopped and he went back into a deep sleep.
mr.odd 04-18-2009 09:05 AM
IC: Khain continued walking toward the lake, he began wondering what the chief and Agronack were talking about. ‘maybe he finally got tired of his experimenting. Or maybe he just wanted to talk to him about the polluted water situation.’ What ever the reason, Khain continued walking till he reached the lake. When he got there he sat up against a rock and cast his line into the water, he also kept his gun at hand incase any of the wild like decides to eat him.
==========================================================
Fawkes picked up the other end of the barrel and began walk toward the village. “so what’s with the barrel of water, also did you find out who’s the newcomer?"
Chronicler 04-19-2009 02:38 PM
OOC: Once again, I ask for forgiveness. Obviously for being so late. I'm ... busy. Don't have the time that I promised I would .... but I'm still posting.
IC: Hydra scoffed when Nimol and Khain went off. She knows it's her job to spy on the newcomer slig, but what's the point? Khain was following him. Heck, both sligs should be able to do fine together. Well, Hydra dusted off her blue robe (tends to do that) and dumped the bucket into the river, allowing some water to fill it all in. She began humming a tune that sounded a bit like .... punk metal? Meh. Damn music these days .... Hydra gasped when she remembered Typo. She put aside her anger towards her "job" and looked to help out Typo. "My god! What was I thinking? Typo?" The little pantsless slig wouldn't be able to do such work by himself without taking so long and getting tired. Hydra ran full speed, appearing as nothing more than a blue blurr, she then stopped in place as she realized Typo already recieved help. Help from Fawkes the Mudokon girl. Hydra swore to herself, all that running for nothing? Oh well. Mineaswell check up on Nimol.
----------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Cheif Wapi gave Agronack a friendly slig tentacle twitch. "Good to see you shaman." The Bigbro slig examined Agronack's little junky mess. Good odd, not another cooky experiment. Wapi sighed, but gave off a respecting look on his face. After all, healers were mighty important to the village. "Agro, I'd like to know, Akuafobeea is already going through this water disaster, but do we still contain good medicine in our spirits?" Leave the job of animal medicine, totems, and spirits, to a shaman.
Oddey 04-19-2009 10:24 PM
OOC: Would have posted earlier, but I had to get my recovery disks finished.
IC: "Yeah he's Nimol. He's a nice guy so far. Looks like he can fix just about anything." said Typo as he carried his half of the barrel, "Oh and this water's for me mostly. Hydra and Khain also got some. Khain probrably needs it for some experiment of Agronack's. Thanks for helping me out with this by the way."
They were nearing the village. "I think I can take it the rest of the way." Said Typo.
AlexFili 04-23-2009 11:15 AM
Nimol woke up with a stretch and a squawk. He lazily scratched his back and then stood up. He made his way to the exit of his hut, before remembering to go back and pick up his pack of cigs. "Time to find some pants for Wapi". He left the hut, humming to himself cheerfully. It was still light outside so he thought he'd look somewhere in the opposite direction to where they got the water from.
"Oh, here comes that pesky little Grubb again", he thought to himself. He could see Hydra walking towards him. She hadn't noticed him. "Time to make a quick escape". He broke into a run in the opposite direction, not quite ready for another trick from a little female Grubb. "Now, where to find some pants... Big Bro size...", he looked at the map he had in his hands... it was only a basic map, but it still told him enough. "Hmmm, an abandoned factory nearby, I'll try there". He walked off in the direction of the abandoned factory, hoping to find a couple of pairs of pants for Typo and the guys.
Chronicler 04-24-2009 04:42 PM
Hydra was just trotting along her way, with her bucket of water, towards Nimol's new home. She looked into the rippling transparent liquid .... It still had some .... murk about it. But it was still more clean than the water nearby the place. She almost got caught by looking at her own reflection in the bucket, when she realized Nimol was around. He didn't seem to happy though. The pesky slig quickly ran off when he saw her. "Well what's his damn problem?" Hydra impatiently asked herself. She put down her bucket of water and quickly sped after the slig. She was fast enough to become a mere blue blurr, but not fast enough to catch up to the stranger slig. She hit the brakes and went to an immediate stop, tired. Hydra began complaining in her head again. WHY was it supposed to be her own fate to babysit such an annoyance. If she's gonna go on another marathon after this guy, she'd quit her job and spit in Wapi's face .... like she's threatened to him before .... Thankfully for herself, Hydra managed to spot Nimol from a distance. She had no clue what he was doing. But she'll find out. After some catching up to him "Hey Nimol dude! What're ya doin'?"
AlexFili 04-25-2009 01:19 AM
Nimol was performing a brisk jog. "Did I lose her?", he looked behind him and saw Hydra. "She's persistent... let's see if she can keep up". Nimol broke into a run and tried to lose her as fast as he could. Once Nimol thought he lost her, he stopped and leaned against a tree. He looked around, nothing yet. He sat down and lay against the tree when he heard a noise from nearby.
"Hey Nimol dude! What're ya doin'?". Nimol thought to himself, "Darn, busted...". Nimol thought it would probably be best to just smile and act nice to her anyway. "Hello Hydra!", he gave a wave to her and beckoned her over, "You're pretty fast huh? I guess Wapi must have trained you well".
Nimol looked at the clouds, watching them for a moment. He looked back to Hydra. "I'm going to an abandoned factory to find some spare pants... Even if Wapi doesn't need any, I can always find some for Typo and myself... it's always good to have a spare, in case we need extra parts or anything".
He looked at Hydra, "I know it's kinda confusing, but most of us Sligs are really at home with technology, we're not used to this jungle stuff... Look, we may not be the best of friends or anything, but since we could be living in the same area for a while, maybe we could share our knowledge about creatures and things. For one thing, I could tell you why Wapi had that look of longing in his eyes when he took that cig from me".
Nimol stood up, "I'll leave it up to you. I'm going to look for that factory, should be somewhere nearby, come if you like". Nimol looked at the map, there was a short dirt road near to the factory. He walked up the nearest hill to try and get a better view of the surroundings. Was that a Scrab howl he could hear nearby? He put his hand on one of his pistols.
mr.odd 04-25-2009 11:33 AM
IC: Khain sat and waited for an hour(it least that's what it felt like) and did not get a nibble, he then heard the faint howl. Khain listened for a moment and it sounded Scrabish, He then took his pole out of the water and sat it down by the rock. The howl sounded close, Khain followed the source of the sound through a small patch of trees, the howl stopped. He then saw track’s leading out of the trees, it was definitely a Scrab. Following the tracks, Khain came to small clearing with no sight of the Scrab or anymore tracks.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fawkes dropped the barrel. “ok, if you insist.” She then walked ahead back into the village, she then Wondered what to do now. She headed back toward her hut to see if there was anything that needed to be tended to.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Agronack pondered chief Wapi’s question, It has been awhile since any body needed help. Although he has been sensing some disturbances with oddworld and the spirit world. Finally Agronack responded. “hmm.. I’m sensing people are healthy but I also Sense An angry spirit near the village, I’m not sure what it is for sure but I think we should act soon.
Chronicler 04-26-2009 09:34 AM
Hydra found her flattered feeling after Nimol had remarked on her speed and training with Wapi. Maybe this dude aint so bad .... But then .... he had to go against her very own orders of NOT finding a pair of those robo-pants for the chief. Her mind clouded with more impatience when he questioned their possible "friendship". He dares call her a bad friend? What kind of a slig is this guy? Well. She better hold in her anger and be more friendly towards Nimol. After all, Wapi would probably get into another drunk fist-throwing frenzy if she disobeys him .... again. Hydra sighed and tilted her head back. She had noticed Nimol almost reactively reach for his gun when he heard the ever reaching howls of a Scrab. Gee, are all sligs so dependant on tech? Well, she'd better give Nimol some info on the creatures, like he requested. "Hey, ya don't hafta be scared of a simple Scrab. Keep your distance, and they won't bother ya." Well, that was a friendly suggestion, and it felt so wierd .... it sucked. Oh well. "Well. I have better things to do right now." The grubb once again dusted off her blue, lightly-built robe. "I'm gone." She placed her hands on her hips and winked at Nimol. Then, while calmly standing in that exact position, purple smoke erupted around Hydra. It swirled around her body, and then covered up her flat lizard head. Hydra kept to her word, when the smoke cleared, she was gone. She vanished in a puff of purple smoke.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Wapi stroke his flabby tentacles, he seemed .... chilled by the sound of an angry medicine taking hold over the village. The chief slig had encountered strange things in this world, many oddities were of the spirit world. But he had never experienced ill omen such as this. "Agronack .... the Spirit world is out of my reach, but perhaps, it is time we take a smoke?" If a slig could smile, this is what Wapi was doing. The shamanistic art of smote was in mind. "And perhaps your tinkering will prove useful for our water supply?"
AlexFili 04-26-2009 10:13 AM
As Nimol was about to draw his weapon, he heard Hydra telling him about Scrabs. He raised an eyebrow, putting his pistol back in it's holster. "You have a point there, thanks". He smiled, but quickly turned his head in the other direction. He wasn't used to all this friendly chatter stuff. Well, he'd have plenty of time to learn about that sort of thing. He'd probably have a better respect for nature after staying here for a while.
He looked to see the Scrab walking around in the distance, making a few noises before walking off into the distance. He sighed and turned back to Hydra. She was obviously going off to do "better things". Oh well, you can't rush making friends, it's like building a castle... one stone at a time.
"Okay Hydra, I'll see you later. Tell Wapi I'll be back before sunset". He gave her a cheeky grin and then looked at the map again. The factory should be close by, he thought to himself. He lookd up to see Hydra wink and disappear in a puff of purple smoke. "Where does she get that stuff anyway?". He'd have to buy some from her one of these days... it would make a good decoy.
He looked around and then started making his way to the abandoned factory. It would probably be deserted, but he'd better check his weapons anyway... just in case something were to jump out at him. He walked off into the distance, hoping to find it sometime soon.
Oddey 04-29-2009 08:14 AM
IC: Typo picked up the barrel slowly, making sure not to spill any of it. 'Nearly there now...' He thought. At long last, the barrel was outside his hut. Panting slightly, he wondered where Nimol could have got to. 'Probrably out by the old factory looking for those pants. Might be a good idea to have a pair. Wouldn't be so hard to do all the physical stuff.' He thought. Maybe Nimol's place was finished being restored. 'Probrably is, considering how long it took to get this thing back down.'
AlexFili 04-30-2009 05:12 AM
Nearly there, Nimol thought to himself. He tripped on a jagged rock which was hidden amongst some grass. "Darn", he picked himself up and continued walking. He spotted the Scrab in the distance, it was chasing a Paramite. He chuckled and then realised that he had reached his destination. It was a very large grey factory building, the roof had half-collapsed, the inside was littered with rubble and wreckage.
"Oh well, might as well start somewhere". He walked to the front entrance, but discovered that it was blocked with some rubble. He walked around to the side to find a new entrance. He hoped there wouldn't be any security bots still active.
stonetooth 05-02-2009 07:24 PM
Hey back from my long disapearance from the forums. I went on a "SPIRITUAL JOURNEY" so to speak. :fuzvamp::fuzvamp:
Name: Jurgo
Species: Outlaw
Age: 23 (earth years)
gender: Male
Appearance: Very short in stature, One of Jurgo's eyes has a eyepatch over it, and has many scars all over his body. He wears a faded green jacket, and has one black boot, the other foot has no shoe on it.
Personality: He's very rugged and grumpy, for such a small person, but has a somewhat soft center if you can pry it out of him. He respects people inteligent people, and is very loyal to his friends.
Equipment: Short axe and pistol.
History: Jurgo is a outcast outlaw, a loner if you will, and has been so for 10 years. He has made a good friend along the way, Flurgel, and they have been comrades eversense.
Name: Flurgel
Species: Mudokon
Age: 29 (earth years)
gender: Male
Appearance: Medium Heighth and somewhat chubby, wide-eyed mudokon. He has a mohawk and one of his fingers on his left hand is cut off. He wears a ragged assembly of cloth and scrap metal on his body, which serves as armor.
Personality: A somewhat jolly person, he is very friendly, or atleast on the outside. He can be very mean and agressive if need be, although his size (he's considered "Fat") he is very agile. He somehow was able to subdue Jurgo into becoming his friend.
Equipment: Long Spear, short bow
History: He used to be part of a small group of mudokon travelers on a adventure to find a lost colony of ancient mudokon's that aparently knew how to live forever. Slowly his friends died away, until he met Jurgo, who now follows him everywhere he goes.
If I'm allowed to join, two ideas of how i can join: A. Wandering and walks into the village, or B. They are hiding out in the abandoned factory that Alexfilli is going to. Either one works. Hope i get in! :D
AlexFili 05-03-2009 03:09 AM
OOC: It's up to Chronicler, but it sounds like a good idea to me.
IC: As Nimol was walking around the factory, he could hear the monotonous hum of the machinery. Some of the machinery was still active, but badly maintained. The meat saws were grinding at a much slower pace than normal. There appeared to be empty Slog hut doors which were opening and closing seemingly at random.
Nimol walked towards the main section of the factory. He had to be careful since some of the floor was giving away under him at this point. Suddenly he heard voices from nearby, he approached a hallway. He saw two people standing next to a fire. The Outlaw was fixing his weapon, the Mudokon was holding his hands over the fire to keep warm.
Nimol raised his hand, "Hi there! I'm Nimol. Did you happen to see any Big Bro Pants or other Slig Pants anywhere? I'm trying to find some for my friends in the village". He was hoping the Outlaw would be of the friendly type.
stonetooth 05-03-2009 05:43 AM
IC
Jurgo looked over at the seamingly nice slig, and said, "We used most of 'em for scrap metal...Not sure if there's any left...But you might as well just-" Jurgo was about to say something very rude whenever Flurgel said,"Jurgo, be nice to our guest." Flurgel smiled at nimol and said, "Excuse me for my friend's attitude, he gets very grumpy sometimes..."
His face was blank for awhile, until it light up, as if he just remembered something very important. "Oh yes, slig pants..There may be some in the armory, but then again, I think that there are still some active security bots. But, they shouldn't be too hard to bypass...Me and my friend," he paused, "would be glad to take you there."
AlexFili 05-03-2009 05:52 AM
Nimol smiled, "The armory eh? Okay, I'll try and find it", Nimol started walking off, but then looked back. "You'd better wait here, I know a bit about these security things. The more people there are in the room, the harder it is to avoid being detected".
He noticed there was a map lying on the floor, which is probably what these newcomers used to find this factory. He took out a small black marker pen and put an X on the map. "This is where my new home is, I'm sure our chief will let you stay if you ask nicely enough".
Nimol stood up, "Thanks for your time, hope I haven't been too much of a bother. I'll come back and let you know how I get on with the security bots". With that, Nimol turned around and headed for the exit. Getting past security would be tough, but not something he wasn't used to. He pulled out his pistols and twirled them, he was getting excited.
mr.odd 05-03-2009 09:39 AM
OOC: welcome stonetooth.
IC:Khain walked over by a hill and took a moment to gather his thoughts, after that he decided to lay down on the hill to see if the Scrab would come back. After he was settled he took off his helmet, then pulled out the cig (given to him by Nimol) and gave it a lit. Before he could get out a puff he started coughing, for moment it stopped then it began again. But then the Scrab came into view of his scope, in response Khain aimed and fired.The Scrab dropped dead. Khain stood up and took one big puff from the cig, he then stomped it into the ground and reattached his helmet and walked over to the dead Scrab.He began pulling it to the village, on they way he began coughing again, this time he coughed up blood.
==========================================================
Agronack walked over to the door way and began dragging in the barrel. He stuck hit by the table with is strange contraption he was putting together, after that he walked over the shelf and pulled out a small box. He opened it and pulled out a small pipe that was crafted out of wood, he walked over to the chief and held out the box offering the second pipe that was inside the box.
stonetooth 05-03-2009 11:01 AM
IC
Jurgo sighed and said, "Flurgel, I think we should go stop him from getting what is left of OUR supplies in the armory..." he finished.
"But it isn't ours to keep. Besides, he's a slig, and I wouldn't be suprised if he used to be a security guard of this factory. But, if there is a village where the slig said there was one, we best head that way. Would be better if we could at last live amongst others." he said to Jurgo, who gave a slight nod to the statement.
With that, Flurgel picked up the bags they carried with them, which housed scrap metals, rations, and some other items of value. Amongst him and Jurgo, they carried five bags, and once they were all ready they headed into the direction of the village.
"Y'know, i've always wanted to open a shop..." Flurgel said silently to him.
"Why? I'd rather be out hunting and fighting...." Jurgo said, but Flurgel shook his head. " Well think about it. We could make money, WITHOUT having to hurt anyone." He replied, and Jurgo stayed quiet.
Now, the village that the slig had told them about could be seen, and they quickened the pace, lugging the bags as they went.
Nimol walked a few minutes to the armory. Like the Outlaw said, the place is guarded by security bots. Some orb-zappers and a greeter. He holds his pistol in his right hand, aiming towards the greeter. He shoots towards the top of the greeter, knocking out the navigational system.
The security orbs scanned the area, oblivious to what had happened. Nimol aimed with his two pistols, shooting the security orbs. They fell to the ground with a loud clunk. He was about to move when he noticed a weight sensor on the floor. He sidestepped and moved to the other side of the room, carefully avoiding the laser detectors.
Nimol enters the armory cautiously, checking for any signs of life. It seems like the Outlaw had been here, and ransacked the place. There were still some Slig pants though. Nimol picked up a pair of Big Bro pants. He put them on. He figured that if he wore the Big Bro pants, he could use the extra weight and support to carry the other pairs and supplies back. He grabbed a spare backpack and loaded it with a pair of Slig pants. He then placed some supply bags on his shoulders.
He made his way past the armory back to where the Outlaw and the Mudokon were, but they had gone. "Oh well, no time to hang about". He walked out of the factory, making sure to check for any possible ambush points. It would be a while before he could get back to the village. He'd probably make it into his hut with the supplies, before approaching Wapi. It would take him longer because of the added weight. "I wonder how Khain and Typo are getting on?".
Oddey 05-04-2009 10:28 AM
IC: Typo was getting a little bored. He'd never really gone anywhere because he had to crawl everywhere he wanted to go. Sure it was ok for short trips, but if you had to go much further, you'd need to take a couple of breaks. Maybe Nimol would have one of those fancy little mechanical pants when he came back. 'Wishful thinking. Prorbrably none of them left.' Thought Typo. Suddenly, off in the distance, something caught Typo's attention. Two small specks which could just barely be made out as an outlaw and a mudokon. 'Who could they be...' Wondered Typo. 'They're coming from the direction of the factory... That's where Nimol went...' They were also dragging something behind them. 'This could be a little nasty... I'd better tell Wapi.' Thought Typo. He rarely approached Wapi, and even when he did, he tried to keep it breif.
Crawling off, he saw Wapi was over by Agronack. 'Bet he's up to something again.' But there wasn't time for that. "Cheif! This outlaw and a mudokon are coming this way. Thought you ought to know." Finished Typo before shying away again. He scurried off to his small home. 'No place like home.' Thought Typo.
OOC: Sorry for slight absence, and welcome back Stonetooth.:D
As their trek was almost over, Jurgo and Flurgel could see the village, more clearer now.
Individual huts, one that looked better than the others, and the lake that ran near it.
Jurgo looked over to Flurgel and said, "You think they will welcome us with well, these..?" he said, nudging to his axe and pistol and to Flurgel's spear.
"I'm sure they can tell we mean no harm...We aren't a intimidating pair, now are we?" he said heartily to him.
"Well, surely we can talk to the cheif about the store YOU want to open up once we get there then, eh?"
"Yup, sounds like a plan, ma' man..."
Jurgo grunted. He hated it whenever Flurgel rhymed. Not even if it was on purpose, like now. It was just not very funny to him, or whatever Flurgel thought it was. He would rather be out raiding some clakker towns and the like, not held up here....Well, one way or another, he was "friends" with Flurgel, and wouldn't want to ruin that relationship...yet, atleast.
Trying to rekindle the conversation, he said, "So, Flurg, how much longer you think 'till we get there, eh?"
"Maybe a hour or two. If we quicken the pace." He said with a nudge.
"Alright, alright...But your the one that needs to quicken the pace." He said with a look at Flurgel's belly. It was a bit big..Ok, maybe he was somewhat ride all around. But that flab could be mistaken from afar..And maybe up clouse, if he wore some good armor, or atleast decent, like he was now.
"Well, can't wait to get there and take a nap..."Jurgo said with a sigh, and they continued on.
OOC: Apologies for my absence.
IC: Phew, Hydra rubbed the running droplets of sweat off her face. She never had to make a long run for her "self-disappearing act" like that. And it was out in the middle of nowhere too! Nimol looked stumped by her performance. IS she good at this, or what? Anyhow, Hydra approached the village, well, now the slig's outta the way ....
---------------------------------------------------
Cheif Wapi gladly took the cig. "Excellent, Agro." The bigbro breathed in a cloud of tasty smoke, exhaling it back out into the air where its aroma lingered like a ghost. Wapi puffed some of his black smoke over Agro's face. No insult, but smote. A way to cleanse the shaman of this "big bad medicine" that haunted the village of Akuafobeea. Then came a little pantless slig ..... who? "Ah yes. Typo. Good to see ya." The small slig gave Wapi a rundown on newcomers, only to speedily zoom out of the hut with no goodbye. "Mudokon .... and OUTLAW! Agro, if there's an outlaw in our village, we better be careful now." Wapi quickly pulled out his large wooden club, ready to bash Outlaw brains if anything bad happens. "Hey! Who are ya!" Wapi called out as he made a furious approach to the two newcomers.
Seeing the big, pantsless bigbro slig carrying a primitive club, Flurgel sighed. Always the same in every village...All because who he traveled with...He may be born into a species, but surely they aren't all bad, and he had proof of that.
"Damn sligs..." Jurgo muttered, but Flurgel ignored him. They rushed up to the big slig, and Flurgel bowed.
"Hello, good sir, I am here with my pleasant friend, Jurgo..And I am Flurgel, it is pleasant to meet you. We ran into a slig, nikol his name was, or something like that...Anyways, he said we could find lodging here, and I was wondering if me and Jurgo could set up a store here?" he hefted up the big bags on his shoulders.
"We brought all the supplies from the factory.." Jurgo nearly spat out.
"Yes, and we would be glad to sell such things to your people. We have slig pants, fish nets, hunting spears.." He said. "So what do you say? surely if there isn't a spair hut we can set one up ourselves, no?"
He waited calmly for a reply.
OOC
Oh i'm going to edit flurgel's profile a bit. He has a bow. :D
mr.odd 05-04-2009 05:26 PM
IC: As chief Wapi left the hut rushing to the newcomers, Agronack followed to see if they are friend or foe. After they “greeted” each other, Agronack made decided to greet them in a more peaceful way. Sure Outlaws have a very bad reputation, but not very many travel alone to an unknown village with a Mudokon. Agronack bowed in respect. “Greetings outsiders, you will have to excuse the chief he is not very trusting of newcomers these days. I am Shaman Agronack.” He looked at the chief. “now Chieftain we don’t need to splatter blood across the ground.” Agronack smiled then looked back at the newbie’s. “Now tell me this before we make our decision, how did you find this place and why we should trust you?” Though Agronack was suspicious, he felt that they could indeed be trusted, but he knew the chief would need the reason more than he did.
===============================================================
Khain, still hacking and gagging, tried to pull the Scrab to the village without passing out. He was so close, yet so far. But he had to keep moving, he was stubborn that way. ‘what is making me cough this bad, I have never even heard of any one hacking up blood, maybe if they’ve been shoot, but not from a mere cough.’
"A slig found us in a run-down factory that we were using for shelter...Nimol I think he called 'emself?" Flurkel said.
"Why should you trust us? Well, for one, you don't have to fear about my friend, he is an outcast of his kind.. And can be gentle if need be." he said. " And we figured we could move in here and perhaps open up a shop, sense I have always liked the idea of running my own shop..." he finished.
"Yeah, and we need a place to stay, most importantly." Jurgo added with a grunt, looking up at the old shaman.
"We may bare weapons, but we are here in peace. And as for the bags we carry, they are scraps and items we found in the factory. Slig pants, scrap metal..." he drifted off.
Jurgo, trying to quicken this up so he could get to sleep, "So 'eh, what do you two think? We in or what?" he said impatiently, looking at the two, while Flurgel drifted off even farther into who knows what...
"Oh yes, and...never mind, just what he said. I don't think I have anything else to add to it." He hefted the bag and looked at the shaman, then the cheif, questioningly.
AlexFili 05-05-2009 02:35 AM
It took Nimol a longer time than expected to take all the gear back to his hut. He walked past the main square, where he saw the newcomer Outlaw and his Mudokon friend. He noticed Wapi but wasn't quite ready to talk to him yet. Nimol went into his hut, putting down his supplies.
He lay on the bed for a while, resting his body a bit from the journey. He opened the bag and checked the supplies. He had at least two fully working normal size Slig pants, the Big Bro pants he walked here in, and at enough Slig pants spare parts to repair at least fifty others. Nimol sighed, if it was his choice he would have brought more and some helicopter pants, but he couldn't carry so much alone.
He sat up and equipped his regular Slig pants. He looked outside of the hut, he noticed Chief Wapi was still talking with the outsiders. He started walking to the square, seeing Typo peeking out the gap in his hut. "Hey Typo! Come and see me in a while, I have something for you". He continued walking, carrying a large object in his hands.
He walked right up to Chief Wapi, placed the pants in front of Wapi and gave him the lowest possible bow, showing utter respect and devotion to his new chief. "Great Chief Wapi, I bestow a gift upon you. I have acquired a set of Big Bro slig pants for your personal use". He stood up, looking Chief Wapi in the eyes with determination. "I offer this gift to you as proof of my loyalty and devotion". Nimol was hoping that Wapi would accept this gift, even if he didn't use them. This was Nimol's rite of passage, a very important event for him.
Oddey 05-05-2009 04:06 AM
IC: Typo heard Nimol saying he had something for him. 'Probrably those slig pants.' He thought. Then, without warning, Nimol marched up to Wapi and presented him with some much larger version of slig pants. Trying very hard to supress his laughter, he watched as Nimol uttered the most sincere thing he had every heard. Giggling slightly, he watched in anticipation to see if Wapi would accept it.
OOC: just to let you all know, i will be leaving for 4 to 5 days with no internet what so ever, and because i am leaving very soon i will not be able to post anything worth reading. Sorry for the such short notice.
AlexFili 05-07-2009 02:49 AM
OOC: It's ok if you take some time off, I think a few other people (me included) are busy with exams during this time anyway. Still, it only takes 10-20 mins to find out what everyone is doing and post a quick response :D
Chronicler, can you post as Wapi soon? Thanks ;)
