Leto, what kind of a keyboard do you use? Because I recently found out about one made by Yamaha which they have dubbed the DGX 530. Full sizes, properly weighted keys, foot keys, the works, very high quality sound. It may be of interest. It costs about £350 (which I believe would be about $506), so it's fairly affordable. And it only has a few extra tones, it doesn't give you a load of crap that you won't use, you can add or remove voices whenever you please.
I mainly use a midi controller keyboard and use software sounds (huge bunch of VSTs). otherwise, I have a phat old Roland JX-3P which only sounds good with lots of programming (ie default sounds are rubbish/could only be used for happy hardcore), and some older Yamaha (? can't quite remember) that is terribly damaged.
