The first secret area of Mudanchee is really creepy, when you're on the lower screen, and the Fleeches fall there.
In AO there are spear hanged muds in StockYards, in AE there are fleeches and mudokon torture (Tear tractor). Anyway AO is darker and has more creepy details (Grinding area barrel content... Yuck!) so I vote it.
AO the Paramite and Scrab nests you can only see their dark figures! o_O Creeps me out everytime I play through those levels but they sure are fun!
Definately the GBA version of MO. That game had me almost crying from the sheer terror it instaled. Scared me half to death it did, I'll never forget it. I even had to crush the game with a hammer just to feel safe again. *shivers*
In case you can't tell, what I just wrote was a load of rubbish. I vote AO. |
Indeed a load of rubbish, you don't install games on a Gameboy Advance, lul.
I think perhaps he meant 'instilled'... into himself, not the GBA.
Abes exodus
:
Its the skortyards in AO that still freaks me out.
AO Is by far the creepiest, thanks to the atmospheric stillness, and the the darkness of the gameplay.
I loved it. ABM |
Who the hell voted Abe's Exoddus? Anyway I think it's GBA MO. I totally don't like it :fuzwink:
Oh guys...
Creepy means which game get a realy dark or maybe spooky atmosphere. Creepy is not the same like crap. *sigh* I had voted for Abe's Oddyssee because of the different temples and especially the Stockyard Levels. |
AO it's got a darker and spookier atmosphere as never sleeper said.
AE isn't really creepy but still a fun game to play :p MO is just kinda cartoony and i dont find it creepy. havn't played oa 1 + 2 |
:
AO definitely was the creepiest to me. The environments were darker than the rest of the games, and music were pretty creepy as well. |
Ok who voted SW?
a stab in the dark.
maybe someone who finds strangers wrath creepy? im sorry but bit of a stupid question,eh? |
Can't regular members see who voted by clicking on the results?

i am a dick sometimes.
there you go cream. SNegrea voted SW. |
This poll has no sense -.- anyway... I don't know.
AO is creepy, since the paramites chasing you once they climb from their webs, and dont forget stockyards
if you dont know AIS!,then why have you voted for GBA MO?
He thinks GBA MO is the worst one, not the creepiest one.
:
I would have voted now for AO if I could have removed my vote. |
:
i am the same as fuzzle guy especially because of the big skull at necrum.
:
AE was more focused on humor, AO was just dark in ways that had not been done before. Not only in story but also in environments. |
That sounds remarkably like a comment on the lighting. Which would be valid, but not the source of the flavour.
The gameplay of the gba version of Mo just creeps me out im scared of it
Slig_117, are you being serious?
I think that was a jaunt at it's supposedly horrendous gameplay.
well not really
Abe's Exoddus
AE easy... so many creepy levels and those dogs combined with coptersligs... and the last levels with bathroom-looks... me as young kid sitting at the TV late at night... can't get any creepier than that!
Abe's Exoddus is much darker, but I think many people have selected Abe's Odyssey as that was the ground breaking game that introduced everyone to the dark setting that is Oddworld!
Also the handheld games are good, but I can't see how they are better than the Playstation originals! |
I would have to go with AO, for one main reason (plus a bunch of minor ones that have been previously mentioned) the sense of isolation. The whole time I’m playing it a feel so alone in this unknown land where even my own species kill me if I come too close.
I just don’t get the same feeling in the other games. |
When I saw Abe's Exoddus first I thought it would be creepier than the first game, but now I know it's Abe's Oddysee, several reasons for that had been said already.
Abe's Oddysee has got it's own unique creepines for that matter it's also very diffrent from Exodus somehow. It's also strange that (for some people) as a child the game creeps you out at first and then you start to like it. :D |
Seems people think the 2D games where creepier. Must be the fact that you are crammed in a little space, and can't zig-zag around the sides to escape and you cark it with one blow XD THAT made me pretty pissed when I first played it :p
Oddworld Abe's Oddysee is definately the creepiest game that OWI have created because you start as that little slave guy Abe and you're surrounded by terrible noises, dark environements, ribcages falling down to get chaffed into pieces by a machine which is right underneath your feet, dangerous Sligs/Slogs and massive creatures like Scrabs are your worst death enemies and make you shiver when you think that you have to run away from them in the next second.
In addition, Rupturefarms is quite a dirty place with rusty walls and dried blood everywhere and the noises of the machines are surely scary too. But I love this game because one even gets a break from the creepiest place by being able to dive into beautiful environements and nightscapes such as natural environements too. |
