After reading Hobo's post, I'm seriously considering not mentioning that I used to work for Dick Smith myself. FYI, it's Australia's biggest electrical and gadget retailer. Apparently big in New Zealand also.

And it's also an extremely painful job to have. I would get the worst sort of customer; the ones that have a little bit of knowledge. I mean, people who don't know shit just ask you what they should buy and they take it. People who know what they're talking about come in, ask for what they want and then pay for it. The ones with limited knowledge (and brainpower) come in and waste half an hour asking you pointless questions and nitpicking details.

Most common question:
Them: Can I control my printer through a PS/2 port?
Me: No, why a PS/2 port?
Them: Because that's all my laptop computer has.
Me: Are you sure that's not an S-Video out?
Them: Duh... what?

Used to have the same when I worked at the local computer store. Annoying how people come to have their computer repaired and then somehow think they know what they are doing better then I am :fuzconf:.
Even had some guy come in once that wanted a state of the art computer on the tiniest of tiny power supply because he believed that "electricity is electricity and it doesn't matter what kind of power supply is in it". I couldn't talk the guy out of it so I gave him what he wanted just to see him return it 2 days later. So lovely. :tard:

I once went into "Video Ezy" by myself and tried to rent "Click" out. The Moron at the counter wouldn't let me get it out because it's rated 'M'. I tied explaining that there is a difference between 'M' and 'MA' and that 'M' is only recomended for fifteens and over and it was perfectly legal to let me get it out. After about 10 minuets of arguing he asked one of the other clerks who told him I could legaly get it out.
