since you mentioed ddcheat I Assume you got that working? its exactly the same for this one, also make sure you hold the SHIFT key when you open the game otherwise it wont work

By just playing the game it's noticeable that OI did some horrible designs mistakes (Programmaticly of course) in AO.
They did fix them on AE (That's way it's more stable and loads faster).
I would recommend doing the LE for AE, that would be easier I believe. :)

You get the super bad ending by killing 99 do you not?

edit: oh btw LIJI, the file formats for AE and AO are actually the same in the .BAN files, they only changed the way the background images are stored, the level/path files seem to be the same too

I don't think so, you need to safe some to progress if I am correct (haven't played the game for YEARS!)

Anyway, coming to that part, what is the lowest number you can have saved/max killed and still finishing the game?

The maximum I managed to kill off was 89, I believe, but I'm fairly certain you don't need to kill that many.

In both games, you don't need to kill them all, as there's always some you 100% can't kill, as well as a couple at least that the game forces you to save to progress (unless you use -ddcheat, I reckon, but I only have the PS versions).

I worked it all out for both games, exactly how many Muds you can/need to save/kill in order to get various quarma states and endings, but I lost all that data along with my hard drive. In both games it is impossible to kill all Mudokons. There are 2 or 3 that you need to rescue in Necrum Mines even with the noclip cheat (unless you use the path skip code, but that messes with the Mud save/casualty stats.

Apart from the one when you get back to Rupture Farms, which ones do you have to save in AO?

A very wierd thing happened to me the 4th time I played AO (I simply cannot forget it :P)
I just was laying normaly (without cheat). I took out the first two sligs and the glukkons and then I pulled the lever. Somehow I could avoid the two sligs jumping over like if they were slogs. Thes cutscene didn't start and I got stuck and the final screen xD

Don't u mean COMMENT line? if u meant command line, i did step #1, and then i went to the shortcut with properties. if u meant in notepaded, it didnt come up in notepad o_O

You want the field named ‘Target:’. Keep everything that’s there already, and add ‘ -it_is_me_your_father’ to the end, making sure you include the space.

oh ye. i've got a trick to make u 99% invincible with ddcheat.
first of all, U MUST HAVE A BOTTOMLESS PIT, falling down very far doesn't count.
When u fall, IMMEDIATLY FLY UP WITH DDCHEAT. do the fly up ddcheat if abe screams while falling in the pit. then u should be almost invincible. i havent tested out many stuff that cannot or can kill you. so far i got these

Slig: They will ONLY laugh and do bses. They will ignore you, and you can get them chanted. the unchanted ones will still laugh and bsing.
Slog: Hahahaha, its just like when you use the invincibility in ps1 version of AE, the slogs will just keep jumping on you.
Scrab: Ignores you completely. If they charge, and if you happened to get hit by it in the flying ddcheat, u wont die. i havent tried without the flying.
Paramite: They will just come to u and eat the dirt on the spot u were in. If you chant, they will follow u to the next dirt spot. Wow, i never knew they like to eat soil. I guess they taste like chicken (COMMON PHRASE XD).
Land Mines: 50/50 that it will kill you or not.
Flying Mine: You can go through that thing
Bats: If you touch these, you will not die, but they will follow u but not to another map. if it can follow u to another map though, u can make a bundle of bats. but that wont happen x)
UXB: same as land mines, except they will definitly kill you if u touch them...or press it at the wrong timing.
Bees: if you dont use the flying ddcheat, then u will DANCE! :) and in case u havent noticed, u can ACTUALLY pass the bees to the sligs. they will die from it and for real. >:]

Bumping/Earthquake: You will die unless you quickly use the flying ddcheat. If you turn a very slightly black or more black, u will stay in the middle of a map. its torture i tell you o_o
Falling: If you took the SMALLEST drop, you would die unless using the flying ddcheat. its like bumping/earthquake, except with falling.

Giant Spike Rocks: UGH!!! I HATE THOSE THINGS. they are the hardest thing to avoid in the WHOLE ENTIRE ODDWORLD (ABE) SERIES. :fuzmad: but hahahaha u can resist it. take that son of a crap spiky ball. >:]
Order Bomb: IM PRETTY SURE IT WILL KILL YOU.

Chant Detector: just like falling or bumping/earthquake, except if u get zapped, U DIE. its like its a laser beam o_o. the same step to survive from it. and another thing to survive is never chant if there any of them around.

There may be other stuff i forgot about them.
also, there is no command line. but wat u do is create a shortcut of the AbeWin, and then go to properties. u should see the 'Target:'. also known as COMMAND LINE. leave everything in it, and then do this >>> ' -it_is_me_your_father' and do without 's. copy this without the 's and then copy it into the right side of the stuff that is on the 'Target:' box. i hope i explained this right. if i didnt, ASK MUG

also, take note that if u go into a certain place, the trick will be deactivated, which means u have to do it again. >_>

then u should use the fly ddcheat, and then hold down, avoiding the mines unless u took em out, and then u should be transported to one of the areas in the Escaping Stockyard that u've been to b4. :P

also if you can't find the answer to a general computing question on this forum you should try google, I said command line because you're running the game exe with the command line "-it_is_me_your_father", target box? well if you run the game using "start abewin.exe -it_is_me_your_father" from a command prompt then it would be wrong, there is a few ways you could do it (such as sticking that in a batch file)

It wont work!!! , do you type it_is_me_your_farther or it is me your farther? because it wont work!, i even hold shift! can someone help me out?

right.
copy the short cut of AO onto your desktop.rigth click it and press properties.click on the box that says target.it should say: F:\AbeWin.exe
click next to exe and press space and type: -it_is_me_your_father
hold shift and press apply and ok.still holding shift double click the same icon so the game runs.keep holding shift until the main menu appears.start your game,press tab and away you go.
