Ok if people could do telekenesis then we would know them. I doubt someone would be like "I can't show my powers to the public." Nobody is that modest. This stuff is fun to read about, but it is far fetched.

Nemo 05-16-2007 09:47 PM

Even the slightest thing about this going too public could cause a huge problem.
Predicting the future? People will be quick to think of gambling.
Draining power from other people? I shouldn't have to tell you.
Reading people's thoughts? Major violation of privacy.
Healing people? "It's the new age Jesus! All hail him!"
Moving stuff with your mind? Um... I have to admit, I can't think of something with that.
Out of body experiences? Can anyone say voyeur to the max?

But whatever, if you don't believe, why not get out right now?

Pfft, I only started a couple days ago. It's not something were you go from rank 7000 to 1 in a day.

Wow, it's amazing where you can find quotes related to WoW.

I need get of that thing, or I'll die.

Anyway, I gave up when I started getting light headed. Telekenetics was lame.

Next time, don't try and levitate your own skull; it's a recipe for disaster.

Laser 05-17-2007 10:28 AM

tis crap i think now so i'll say bon voyage from this thread

Slig 7665 05-17-2007 10:35 AM

Well these psyball and telekenics stuff is interesting so nemo have you had any luck making psyballs

Bullet Magnet 05-17-2007 11:26 AM

Honestly, I hope you can prove us all wrong (because that would be awesome), but to do that, you need empirical evidence, which is why I stress the laboratory conditions. Otherwise our attitudes cannot and must not change.

Nemo 05-17-2007 03:48 PM

Then got out.

This topic is for believers, or people who want to get into it.

And yes, I've been making psiballs for about a week with little improvement. Still working on throwing them.

Bullet Magnet 05-17-2007 04:33 PM

Skepticism is the default scientific position, what do you want from me? If we all go into an issue with the same opinion then there is no objective for debate, no need to assess what we know, no need to engage in further research. It would descend into mere dogma.

I mean, we don't allow topics here for devout Christians only. Havoc would have a fit.

I just want to have an intelligent discussion about this. I am sick of the unproductive quagmires topics descend into without input from the opposing viewpoint.

Arxryl 05-17-2007 04:51 PM

There is always two sides to the same coin... or so the saying goes.

Nemo, Bullet is not trying to make you look like a fool. Since he's being scientific, he's not believing or disbelieving until you can actually show us some proof Telekenetics is real.

He just wants to have a analysis over this, not have people blindly follow you into it. Since it's such an obscure subject, you're not really justified to make a topic devoted to just people who follow it. It'd be the same as ILoveHammy making a topic to just talk about God and convert a bunch of people.

In other words, try to explain it and show us examples, not just ignore the people who aren't into it and tell them to get out of the topic.

I really couldn't work out from the website what a psiball is. Perhaps you could take a photo of them? Or are they and all their side effects invisible?

Nemo 05-17-2007 07:40 PM

Most of the times, they are invisible.
Although you can make one visible, it's both difficult and rare, atleast according to the site maker. He says he has made some visible, but as it's sort of a "It might happen" thing, he hasn't been able to grab a picture. He's heard from people who say they have made visible ones, and from people who say they've seen their friends.
Pikachures at the bottom.

Listen, I'm not trying to convert anyone. I'm not asking people to blindly follow me. I'm wanting to talk with people who are in it, or people who are believing in it, and want to get in.

What I don't want is people who are going "It's not real! I have no proof! I'm more believable! Tra-la-la-la!"
Yes, I might of over-reacted, but I can't tell you how many people I've seen just trash the topic because psionics is such a taboo* appearantly.

*I'm not sure of the right word to use.

6-finger-fred 05-17-2007 08:24 PM

I want to make things blow up. Why can't I do that? All I can do is make imaginary balls. Sounds real fun.

Give me something fun and I'll consider reading into it.

Nemo 05-17-2007 08:26 PM

You can blow things up with your mind.

Just takes practice and effort.
No one important got hurt by a little work.

6-finger-fred 05-17-2007 08:32 PM

Ok, what's with the Psi-Ball? What is it's purpose? I did it and it seemed to work... in a way. So now what?

I know I can read but all the instructions are too vauge. If I wanted to use the extra part of my brain I wouldn't listen to a bunch webernet-ites blurting out random stuff they SAY happened. No offense but it seems real fake. These guys don't seem like real Psi-users or whatever they are called. I want to see someone blow something up, not do something useless like move a pencil.

Nemo 05-17-2007 08:38 PM

Well, it can be used for a good purpose.
My friend Jon learned from a famous psionist how to heal, for his arthritis.
Or you can use it for your own stuff.

And yeah, I think your psiball worked.
Edit:
Oh, and the reason why the instructions are so vague is because it changes a lot from person to person.

Most of the times, they are invisible.

So how do you know that you have formed one?

Note: A reply of "I can feel it" does not count as an answer.

Nemo 05-17-2007 09:55 PM

That's just it, You CAN feel it.
Sight isn't the only form of sense.

It depends on what exactly you make, but for me, it's sorta like magnets at the same poles.

Strike Witch 05-17-2007 10:10 PM

these pictures= soooo photoshoppy.

Slig 7665 05-18-2007 08:52 AM

You're quite right. Except that I'm also fully aware how easy it is to convince yourself to feel something. A highschool career of feeling ill on days of maths tests will prove that.

Strike Witch 05-18-2007 09:37 PM

on psipog...

I'm going to call Bullshit on the pictures.

Paramite of War 05-19-2007 06:02 PM

I believe in this and think the creator of the website is telling the truth
but this is becomming really difficult because im not sure what to do. Nemo maybe you could talk to me about this via PM or something?

Nemo 05-19-2007 06:35 PM

Well, what's there to talk about, really?

Marvak 05-19-2007 11:06 PM

This seems interesting... I find it hard to believe, but I'll try it out.

6-finger-fred 05-28-2007 04:04 PM

Sadly, I have enough time on my hands to play around with an invisible ball. :(

ziggy 05-28-2007 04:08 PM

You should probably start doing more productive things than trying to a make an invisible ball. ;)

Nemo 05-28-2007 08:55 PM

You have to start out small. Work your way up, you know?

6-finger-fred 05-31-2007 09:22 AM

lol

I feel the...ball thingy, so now how do I make it explode or kill small children?

Nemo 05-31-2007 02:09 PM

...

If you ever ask me the question "how do I make it explode," no matter what the subject, I'm not going to trust you with it.

I do know how, but I really don't want to get a call from the police at 2 AM.

Hmmmmmmm :)........ nice idea.

Jk. I'm finding more interest in the other 'abilities' such as empathy. I've actually tried that at school and stuff, and it seems to work, but it could just be my wild imagination. Also seems to hurt my chest. Why, I don't know.

6-finger-fred 06-01-2007 09:12 AM

You won't get a call, I probably live ten states away from you. duh...

J/K btw, all of that was me messing with people.

Well, for lack of a better term, *level*
It's like with magic in the Eragon series. If you try something you're not ready yet, you could end up with anything from a minor headache to blackouts or even death.

Statikk HDM 06-01-2007 09:50 AM

Isn't it spelled "telekInesis"? You know like the study of motion, kinetics?

Well if that's the case, it should go away with practice, right? And it doesn't hurt enough for me to stop doing it. Just a little bit.

Abraham Lure 06-01-2007 03:52 PM

Wow, this is actually very interesting. I can't believe I didn't come to this sooner.

This seems very interesting. I like to try new things. So I might try this out. If it works, good for me. If it doesn't, doesn't matter for me.
