Let's get back ontopic, we're talking names for children. Not whether we should gas every pedophile on the planet.

Me and my best friend looked after a plastic baby one weekend [one of those that crys every 5 minutes and simulates motherhood] and we called him Martyn Asher. I quite like that name.

I'll either call my first born Oliver if he's a boy, or Martha if she's a girl.

Heh. I knew a couple that almost broke up because the guy hated the girl's first choice name for boy, which was also Oliver.

I mean, they weren't having a kid or anything at that stage; they'd only been going out a couple of months. But she didn't want to be with a man who thought Oliver was a silly name.

If my firstborn is a boy, I wish to name him "Luke." Suprisingly, this is actually partially inspired by Searex, because I realized his first name works suprisingly well with my last (name).

If my firstborn is a girl, I will drown her in the nearest creek. It is dishonorable to have a female child. On the off chance that the mom (who will probably be my wife) somehow isn't fully incapacitated by the dose of drugs I will slip her to allow me time for my deed, then I'll settle with "Leia."

jk. If it's a girl, then mommy gets to choose.

I must admit though, I'm tempted to name my firstborn something with a blatant racial connotation, like "Jesus" or "Enrique" or "Tyrone," as to confuse many people, and leave them succeptible for me to make jestful accusations of racism.

"Gustavo" has also always tickled my fancy. But I don't think I'll win that one.

I always liked Sergio.

As long as it's not something that rhymes with mucus, I'm cool, Lucas.

I refuse to bear a son. So for girly names: Marina or Marissa. Something with mar in it so it'll mean something oceany.

Oh yeah? Well, as long as it's not something that rhymes with you have a stupid dumb poop head, then I'm cool with it.

You know that automatically means that you'll bear only big, burly, hairy sons who like football and fishing and will get jobs as lumberjacks?

God has a sense of humour about these things, after all.

If I ever have a child I would call it a strange and special name, as children are special...(at least in my opinon)

Haha yes. I named him after Fez and my best friend chose his middle name 'Asher' from a book.
