I didn't mean to insult you, mitsur, I was just saying that that's what online games usually do to people, and what category the people who play these games usually fall under. The addiction changes them, as most addictions do.

I don't have a problem with WoW. I just have a problem with self righteous people who actualy think they have made a difference in someone's life when they have never even met them. That "I helped people" line was moronic. You haven't helped shit. You have just convinced yourself that you have so you can feel better about yourself. |
To each their own. I used to care about friends playing it simply because I've seen MMORPG's ruin relations between people and change them hardcore. I would warn and be like don't get all into it but that's your choice man. Have fun!
|
Well, since I'm still living with my parents for obvious reasons, and I care about getting a decent night's sleep, I'm not really the kind of person who will spend all night trying to finish that elusive quest. Sure, I'm addicted, but not like that kind of addiction.
|
Fair enough. Although I still believe the serious addiction will hit you soon enough. It's only a matter of time :p.
|
My verdict, Mitsur, I still can't believe you got WoW.
Remember back in the day when we thought Warcraft 3 was enough? Ah, the Eighth grade was good, eh? But that was a long, long time ago. Just don't end up like my brother Mike, Mitsur. You remember Mike? My brother? From California? Which is better than Idaho? Unless you're trying to escape a zombie siege? Why do I keep talking in question? ...Just don't end up like Mike. Plays WoW every damn day. It disgusts me... and both he and Vince wonder why I don't play... Anyway, just PM me and tell me when you'll be back on MSN so we can work on the 'project.' Best consent(and good luck), Chris. PS ROB ZOMBIE'S HALLOWEEN PREVIEW WITH GRINDHAUS THIS FRIDAY!!!! DON'T MISS IT!!!! |
this is stuff is really funny to read. :)
But overall in this thread, I agree the most with Snuzi. Some people get so obsessed with WoW that they get the point where they have no life. Plus, it's a dumb game IMO, and you have to play forever to level up so the game actually starts getting fun. I only like the games where skill is the primary factor to how well you do in the game, not how long you sit on your ass leveling up. It's sad that the game is like a second life, and you have to manage it so much, and it makes you think you're interacting with people and making friends. |
Exactly. It's totally overrated.
|
:
Yay no time on my hands! Oh, and IF143: Mike isn't obssessed until he's stopped coming for meals and refuses to go to school, claiming he 'can learn more on WoW' ;) |
:
So, basically, you're never content when playing this game. There's always something better just beyond your reach, causing you to spend hours and hours of your life pointlessly, in order to make you believe that something might just be reachable. |
That kind of boring crap is why I hate the middle part of RPGS. And partially why I quit Runescape.
|
:
Oh, and lets not forget the fact that I've never had a real love life and that I probably never will! Add that to the issues I've had with family and friends dying/killing themselves, and it's a wonder why I haven't placed myself up at the "Right hand of God" title. |
Holy shit. Stop bitching about how terrible your life is and get back on topic.
|
wow Nemo, that's just disturbing
|
Goddamn you, WoW and your proselytising ways. Thanks a lot for making it damn near impossible to get in a group that isn't Dungeons and Dragons or Call of Cthulhu. Go suck bullfrogs through straws, Blizzard, your game disgusts me.
|
:
Thanks for proving my point. Most people aren't willing to do that for me. |
:
Anyway, IMHO WoW gets really boring after lvl 20. I've never made it very far in the game. |

Mitsur, what ever you do, don't come a sock nerd!
|
...what?

GAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!! YOUR MAD I TELL YOU MAD LIKE ME MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
*froths at the mouth and runs infront of everyone and pelvic thrusts while throwing off clothes* you are mad it will suck away your life like some sort of life sucking bug! but i can't talk i play COH/COV and i have played WoW as well so i guess it explains why i'm here instead of outside... *weeps* |
Jesus, that was just a mess right there. Instead of being all dramatic in an attempt to make people laugh, could you possibly just type properly?
|
quite true actually but i sensed a sort of tension in the internet so i just thought i better have my opinion in.
But its truw though it does suck your life Oh and sorry for my bad typeing i am terrible at it |
WoW. Lulz.
................................... I play Second Life occasionally, I found this place with Trekkie nerds, so I annoy them by nitpicking their starships.....Fun. |
I've played WoW - I had a level 60, raided for about a year till the expansion came out, then got level 63, quitted.
It's true what everyone says about it - it's addicting and not fun. You end up playing it for the sake of playing it. By all means, if you want to get it, get it, but be warned - I would much prefer playing Oblivion over WoW. Which I've been doing a lot recently. |
I've always thought that online games were made to try and make gaming... not fun. Trying to put people off video games. No online game is as good as a console game (which I would consider a real game). I'm just stating my opinion, that's all.
|
I can see where you're coming from Oddjob, but a lot of people would probably disagree with you.
I like the WoW southpark episode lol! :D "mom, bathroom!" |
