Sorry about the lateness of this answer to Skillya's question!

Right so it's a request this time. i need a Nice Clear flat image of the sekto logo. the squid/spider like thing iv'e seen on a picture with sligs for some odd reason. i may be getting a tattoo of it upon my arm. it'l be that or some other oddworld logo :P...so please do help me out here..
|
Are you sure you want to do this? I'm just making sure because you might not like Oddworld when you're older, and it's painful to have a tatoo removed... But if you're really dedicated, I'm sure you'd be able to find what you want on the Oddworld Library! The link can be found on Max's sig.
|
I don't think I have it on togg
I might have it in a mag, and I can scan it for you if you want, but the quality will not be optimal I'm afraid |
I'm sure someone here can make a vector for it, on Flash or something.
|
I was hoping, when older, to get the Shrykull (Scrab and paramite) marks put on my hands.
That would be so awesome :D I'm certain I saw a really good Sekto Springs logo somewhere....just don't know where. I did see it though, so it's out there somewhere. |
I'd love to get a Necrum symbol on my back, if I don't like Oddworld in later years (Basically impossible) It would still be a nice tatoo all the same.

I hereby declare it the Oddworld dilemma of 2007. This can only be topped by official and controversial news releases. |

Well i could easly sharpen the image up. and yes i'm aware tattoo's don't come off. i already have a few. and as for getting the markings......,meh i never really liked the treehuggers :P....much more of a industrialist fan. so it' be something like vykkers labs. or M.o.M or as i say sekto springs logo :P i just like that lil squid thing.. it'l be on my upper arm.
Also zerox?. DO NOT get it on your hands. you will be hastled every single day with people either asking what it's from or what it means. and it's a tad unsightly in your older years. if anything i'd get it on your back or upper arm. hands hurt alot more too i heard. |
For originality's sake: get the Stunkz logo tattooed into your armpit.
Though some of the outlaws also have good tattoos. Castaraider, for instance, the fish skeleton on his arm. The Grubbs' rock art is good, too. |

@Psyke: I doubt too many people would ask what they are, and I'd just tell them I can't be bothered, or just say "It's from a videogame" and be done with it. Would feet hurt more? My mom got one on her foot, not of Oddworld or anything mind, but feet ARE pretty sensetive to pain. They'd only look unsightly when I'm 60 odd, and the price for emoving tattoos (or soemthing) would have gone down quite a bit over such a time period. |
What happend to the vykkers?
Okay this is a pretty weird quistion, but what happened to all the vykkers at the end of MO?
|
Most of them died aboard Vykker's Labs, but I'm sure there are plenty more still in existance. This belongs in the Oddworld Questions and Answers thread.
|
You see the doc in SW, he's a Vykker! So there must be another source of Vykkers somewhere... Vykker's labs is some sort of huge facility that ALL Vykkers go to, and then I bet there are these little places where they work or live.
|
The lab we saw destroyed in MO was Vykkers Labs 13 - the first to be built in a floating vessel. That means there are/were at least 12 other labs around Mudos. What's more, not all of the Vykkers are associated with the Vykkers Conglomerate - Doc, for example. Thus there still are plenty of Vykkers around.
|
I believe some are situated in submarines, though I'm not sure where I heard that.
|
Im not sure were you herd that either.
I got another Qustion, why dont vykkers where proper clothes? |
Define proper.
In case you haven't noticed, none of the characters in Oddworld really wear clothes that would be found "normal" by our own society. By making their clothes look differently than our own, OWI made that world seem all the more alien, to reflect the general oddness of the creatures that wear them. |
Glukkons wear buisness suits.
|
Not all of them. Just look at Molluck. And they aren't exactly suits, more like sleeveless, pantless, blanket-ish things.
|
What about clarkerz?
|
What about them? :fuzconf:
|
They wear normalish clothes.
I think the point we have to remember is that OWI design the clothing to serve the design of the characters. Glukkons are businessmen so they have business suits. Clakkers are dumb, southern everyman characters so they have very humanoid traits and fashion. Vykkers are meant to be very alien to us and their lack of clothing emphasises that. I hope this answers your question Moxco. |
Yes it does, thank you nate.
Told ya snuzi :p. |
1. What is, "The Brutal Ballad of Fangus Klot?" I saw it on Wikipedia and Togg, but I never heard of it anywhere else. I've heard of SligStorm and Squeek's Oddysee, but never this.
2. Who is the Chronicler? 3. What ever happened to Elum? I know you can find dead Elums on the last level of MO, but he never appeared in AE. |
Welcome to the forums. The answer to all of your forums can be found here: http://www.oddworldforums.net/search.php?f=6 . Searching for already answered questions saves this thread from being swamped with repeats.
Enjoy your stay. |
does Abe actually have a pet Elum, or was it just considered his pet since he rode it?
i mean, he just kinda rode an elum through two areas that were pretty far away from eachother.. maby your just riding "an elum" and its actually a different both times he uses them? i know it doesnt really matter, im just curious if OWI has ever said anything abut it.. |
I'm sure it's just a random Elum, I don't think an Elum could travel between Paramonia and Scrabania, unless they jumped through the wells leading to the Monsaic Lines.

Are OW cigars made of tabbaco or are they made of fuzzle hair and other random crap, or somthing else enterly diff?
|
Interesting question!
No one could be sure, but it would seem to be that it isn't, presuming that Oddworld plants, as similar as they are to Earth's, aren't the same species. Something similar is obviously being used, though. Almost definitely plant material, though. |
I think remeber In an OW movie a glukkon mentioning tabacco.
|
@ the Elum question: The game originally was planned with Abraham Lure, a fisherman ('Lure' name? it was meant to be based off that) and his pet, Elum, moving from a forest environment to a factory one (within the storyline), but they felt it stronger to start off in the factory. The fishing rod was gone, but Elum remained, as it were. The pet idea partially remianed, so it is oft mentioned, even though Elum isn't specifically Abe's pet, or the 'one' that is featured in AO.

My memory is a bit shaky on this but was there once a mention of a tobacco factory?
|
Which game? I never heard of it.
Unless you mean Lungbuster's. |
No I think lung buster is a medication for bad lung or somthing.
|
Lungbusters are a form of self-medicating euthanasia - "Who wants to grow old anyway!". I still have a vague memory of a seperate Tobacco factory anyway.
*waits for Max to come and clear this up* |
