I, unfortunately, had a negligible chance of getting into the beta, not least because I don't have a 360. But, to be honest, I don't feel bad about it. I'll be able to experience Halo 3 in it's full, complete glory when it comes out, so eh.
I know the odds are tiny, but is anyone else from here in the beta?

Not me, I'm hoping its released on the Xbox Live Market Place, or atleast a demo is. Cause, I couldn't enter, I dont feel like buying Crackdown and I'm far to busy to play something 4 hours straight.

I share the same sentiment, I tried for the original Beta and I assumed I would never be one of the 13,000. I mean I'm just happy it will be a nice change but I agree I'd still rather see Halo 3 in all its complete glory of single not just multiplayer. However, I think it's still going to be a lot of fun and a nice diversion of time. :)

I've heard that Halo 3 is only for the Xbox 360.
I'm not sure, I concentrate on what's happening with games I have or plan to buy, but tell me if I'm wrong about Halo 3.
As silly as this sounds, I don't like the 'shine' of the graphics for the Xbox 360. They are obviously good graphics, but I just don't like them.
Anyone here killed Tartarus while in a banshee on Halo 2? I love doing that. Makes the level a whole lot easier. You have to wreck the wings of the banshee to fit through all the rubble, though.

Man its so silly to say game A is better then game B, they're just not the same game.

Comparing Halo 2 to Half-life is like comparing Legos to Play-doh, they are both fun yet very different.

Personally I don't like Half-life, I don't think that makes Halo 2 a better game.
I currently play GoW rather then Halo 2 right now because of all the cheaters, once you get about rank 28 you can't play anymore.

I have to say my love for Halo is equal to that of Oddworld, they are both great games with amazing story lines.

Who's here is in the beta besides me? I got in like I said earlier on the rule of 3, but I'm not sure who bought crackdown and is going to do this now.

Anyone seen this? The animation is amazing for a fan film, but something just isn't right...

There was no rule of 3 over here. And I'm not buying for Crackdown to play halo 3 like 3 weeks before my exams.

I find HALO 2 is generally funny in terms of multiplayer. Connecting 2 x-boxes together and having a death match. I normally get the VCR out and record it.

The beta has been pretty kick ass so far. It feels like a nice mix of Halo 1 and 2 gameplay but plays and feels more like Halo 1 in my opinion. :D

You'll all have to wait until Halo 3 comes out to see the glint of my sniper rifle moments before you die. That's too bad, I really wanted to hang out with Al during the beta and kick his ass.

Well, I didn't get the Beta, might get Crackdown soon though. Anyways, after alot of Gears I now can use the sniper rifle!

Heh, we'll have to see about that. By the by can't really decide but I think the sniper rifle is back to it's Halo 1 incarnation not just in look but feel and play mechanics.

I have concluded that I function in a somewhat odd way. I cannot complete even level 1 of Halo2 on normal difficulty, yet once when I was drunk, I completed it on legendary difficulty. I would not have deemed that possible.

When I'm in the zone, I just stare at the screen, not even focusing, and then I get kill, after kill, after kill, after -KILLING SPREE!

I do hope my roomies and I next year can afford a 360, H3 and a Live account. And that I get a turn on the damn thing. That would rock, and you Mitsur my friend, are going down.

I had a similar experience were just a little bit in me made me more focused during Xbox Live Halo 2 play a few months back. I won a lot before but I was way more focused for whatever odd reason...

I miss the beta now and don't want to play Halo 2 to pass the time. Multiple people I've talked to hate it now after coming back from playing the H3 beta the past month. I probably won't hate H2 just won't want to play it relearn the controls etc and get good at it again.

Well, some new Halo3 have been popping up. Damn, do they look better than that crappy trailer at E3 07. The textures and attention to detail is awesome. The lighting, I must say is the most impressive.

I decided that since I am getting a 360 I may as well get Halo 3.
I have beaten the first two, games and figured I wouldn't mind doing that a third time.
Plus, achievments=win/

The only spoiler video I watched was the opening cutscene. Which to be honest doesn't give away that much besides that this game looks gorgeous and the story should be well worth while and emulate some stuff from the books too.

Please tell me the opening cut scene was the one where the Chief falls, I hope I didn't accidently ruin the game for myself.
