Eh, Reservoir Dogs was better.

Oddpaw 09-13-2006 10:52 AM

:

... Do you even remember how lame most of Spiderman 2 was?

The first half of it was as dull as anything, but once the action finally started it wasn't to bad. I'm glad I didn't see it in the cinema (The fast-forward button is my friend XD )

I am looking forward to the third one though, I heard Venom is in it.

As for films I've seen more times that is probably healthy...

The original Star Wars trilogy
LOTR - The Two Towers
Jurassic Park
Pirates of the Caribbean
Resident Evil 1&2

OANST 09-13-2006 11:19 AM

O' Brother, Where Art Thou? I love that movie.

Dusan 09-13-2006 02:59 PM

28 days later.......... the greatest horor movie ever made!

Mutual Friend 09-13-2006 03:11 PM

Hmm, I wouldn't go that far, but I do love that film and have seen it a fair bit.

Dusan 09-13-2006 11:19 PM

Give me one horor film that can even be compared with it (maybe hanibal, but all I know about that film is my firend's expirience. I never wach it personaly)

Horor movies are sometimes so booring and childish. I rented yesterday ''wrong turn'' and I didn't wach it till the end. It was very useless spending 20 minutes of my life..

Mutual Friend 09-13-2006 11:31 PM

The Fly, The Thing, The Bride of Frankenstein, Alien, Dawn of the Dead.

To name the few that first came to mind. But, as I say, I really love 28 Days Later anyway.

Statikk HDM 09-14-2006 12:34 PM

28 Days Later was terrible. I'd pay the ticket price NOT to watch that in theaters.

used:) 09-14-2006 05:04 PM

The Grudge, Texas Chainsaw Massare, The Ring, The Others, Blair Witch Project anyone?

ANN NEELY 09-15-2006 02:15 AM

:

The Grudge

I personally think The Grudge is a bit overrated. They're also making a sequel now (looks like the exact same stroy, but with a different character).

Mutual Friend 09-15-2006 06:59 AM

:

Do you mean the American or Japanese versions? I'm guessing the former.

From that list I only rate The Ring and Blair Witch. The Grudge is horrible (have not seen the original, but I understand that it ain't that great anyway), Texas Chain Saw I find terrible in every conceivable way (prefer the remake or even the original sequel, actually) and The Others is dull but worthy.

Statikk HDM 09-16-2006 04:39 PM

Demolition Man was on today. Sweet movie.
"He doesn't know how to use the 3 seashells."
And the Edgar Friendly line about running around buck naked coated in jello smoking cigars the size of cincinnati and reading Playboy magazine gets me every time. Amazed I haven't sigged that.

So true. Quality film.

28 days later.......... the greatest horor movie ever made!

Not the best, but pretty good. From where they meet the soldiers onwards was a bit crap though. I WANT ZOMBIES.

All horrible horrible films. TCM is the single most confusing piece of crap ever. The best bits are the hammer deaths. Had me laughing for ages.

Truer words have never been spoken. Who needs a plot when you can just kill people in multiple gruesome fashions?

Now that it comes to mind, I'm just glad no one has put "Rocky Horror Picture Show" down.

Kamille 09-21-2006 08:41 PM

TRON, Transformers the movie, Grand Canyon.

AquaticAmbi 09-22-2006 08:11 AM

Why is it that I can never think of these things off the top of my head? Grr. Looking over a few posts, I can say I have a few movies I've seen a million times in common with some of yous.

V for Vendetta (Current favorite film <3)
Pirates of the Caribbean
The Little Mermaid, and other Disney movies.
The Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, and other Burton films
Benny and Joon
The Life Aquatic
Splash
Shaun of the Dead
Jurassic Park

Quite a few of these are taken into account simply because I've watched them frequently from childhood to present. But movies like V have obviously been watched over and over again recently. Mmyes, this bit was quite unnecessary, wasn't it? Moo.

Sassenach 09-24-2006 05:35 PM

Yeah, the action was pretty good, but the rest wasn't. The old lady speech made me want to claw my face off.

Patrick Vykkers 09-28-2006 09:20 PM

I, like many others, have seen the original Star Wars trilogy so many times that I can virtually predict the plot.

Arxryl 10-05-2006 09:23 PM

Let us see...hm. oh! I know!
Finding Nemo... Shrek 1 and 2... Younger Age movies (cartoons and crud like that...) and indefinitely, A Bug's Life.

These would be the movies where the millionth time is enough.

But are your predictions accurate?

Strike Witch 10-06-2006 07:29 PM

Oh boy.

Rocky Horror Picture Show....still freaks me out.
Transformers The Movie. The whole thing was one line of cheesy dialog.
The Thing. That movie genuinely creepeth me out.

The upside-down spider head thing....eww.

Steef Head 10-07-2006 11:22 AM

Shrek. Every time we watched a movie at my old school, it was ALWAYS Shrek. And now I pretty much hate it.

Arxryl 10-07-2006 12:52 PM

And what's worse about Shrek is when people quote it over and over and over... That's usually when it starts to suck.

Bullet Magnet 10-07-2006 01:00 PM

Pirates of the Carribean. Great film, everytime. But it's been so many times.

Same here, I can't even stand the box art nowadays.

I can safely add The Corpse Bride to my list now. Although not as good as The Nightmare Before Christmas, it's a great movie!

ziggy 10-07-2006 08:53 PM

I've seen Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls a million times. It's such an awesome movie!! Its one of the few movies where they actually made a better sequel.

Strike Witch 10-07-2006 09:52 PM

Ewwwww.....Ace Ventura? As in, Jim Carrey?

just....ewwwwwwwww.

ziggy 10-07-2006 10:55 PM

what? its funny

Strike Witch 10-08-2006 03:19 AM

No....it isn't.

Just...lets not start.

Leto 10-08-2006 10:22 PM

Oh come on, Jim Carrey is... ok in some old movies. Seeing the cover of Fun with Dick and Jane is truly sad though. Just like the cover of Hitch and countless other piece-of-shit comedies.

Rex Tirano 10-09-2006 11:24 AM

I realized whilst watching "Some Like It Hot" that I have watched that film many a time and laughed at how Tim Curtis looks like he's going to be sick everytime he kisses Marilyn Monroe.

Amazing film. Even better last line.

Statikk HDM 10-09-2006 03:32 PM

When Nature Calls I find to be absolutely hilarious.
Anybody have movies they kind of mist up when they watch?
I copped to Reservoir Dogs bitchifying me the first time I saw it recently.
Others...
Full Metal Jacket, Various scenes
Shane
Steel Magnolias. See, now you're wondering if I'm a man as I've been claiming. I almost got my man card revoked for this.

GTdragon 10-10-2006 03:59 PM

(0w0)

Come see the Paradise \(^W^)/
Bright young things (0w0)
Mobsters \(^W^)/
Cats don't dance \(^W^)/
The hills have eyes (0.0)
Hellboy (0w0)

That pretty much sums it up for my current listings.

Nemo 10-10-2006 04:10 PM

I used to sleep after watching Star Wars Episode three on the DVR so many times, my mom actually yelled at me.
Besides that, there's the remake of Night of the Living Dead.
They used to have it on showtime all the time.

Rex Tirano 10-11-2006 01:51 AM

Has anyone else seen Battle Royale? What did you all think of it?

I've recently rewatched it for the bazillionth time and I'm reading the book. I Luffs it. :D

- Rexy

ziggy 10-11-2006 05:44 PM

Another movie I love is Sin City. One of the best action movies ever i think.

Arxryl 10-11-2006 06:37 PM

A movei I just recently watched for the millionth time was the Snurks. Fairly good, but after a while it gets boring.

magic9mushroom 10-22-2006 09:43 PM

True Lies.

Statikk HDM 10-23-2006 09:06 AM

For Jamie Lee Curtis, right.
Mmmm, Jamie Lee Curtis.
