I DID notice the updates. :fuzconf:
Oh, you mean that one video, don't you? |
Erm, between the two. The Oddworld Cinema.
|
Where is it? Where is it? I must take a look. Is it downloadable over the Internet?
Question: Does the Oddworld Cinema have any downloadable movies? Because when I look at it, it's just pictures, is it meant to be that way? |
http://oddworldlibrary.net/archives/cinema/MO01.htm, the last movie called "Maintaining Vision Trough the Hell of Production" is the one what Maid meant, I guess.
Yes, you can download them all! :) Click (right click) the word near "format". |
Hmm, yeah, it’s not very clear where to go to download them. Ordinarily we’d leap into action fixing it, but there are over 330 videos we’d have to do it for.
|
Three hundred and thirty videos?? OMG...!
|
yep... I worked my ass off on that project, so now do me a favor and enjoy it :p
all the videos can be downloaded, simply right click on the MOV's, AVI's, WMV's,... and use "save link taget as" it's designed to be the TOGG of Oddworld Videos |
But TOGG doesn't work yet, or does it?

Yeah, I just fixed it in a matter of minutes. :p Turned out to be nothing but a few global variables gone astray.
|
I think I just drifted into Heaven...
|
I found another page with oddworld videos. I don't know which ones are on Oddworld Cinema already, but I give the link anyway:
http://www.ryane.com/portfolio_page.htm (Look at the "2.Quicktime".) |
all the oddworld related videos from there are on the cinema allready
|
Oh, okay. Sorry, I didn't see all movies of it yet. I thought there aren't the "fly"-ones.
|
Wow. The Cinema is great. I haven't seen those clips of Game Over since it was first televised :). And since I reformatted my computer I thought I was never going to be able to obtain the passport to Oddworld video again :D Thankyou so much Xavier.

(I still like to see more storyboard videos about SW. :)) |
well they are all found on the internet, I did not ask any inhabitant for an exclusive one.
but some of them are realy old and aren't available anywhere else anymore :p |
:
|
they are all available... ;)
|
Do you mean there are really 330 videos? I thought it's not that much. :fuzconf:
|
they are not all different ones ;) There are sometimes 3 or 4 formats for the same movie, that's what Max meant.
You don't have problems with the menu, do you? :fuzconf: |
I liked the videos there. Quite afew there are ones I haven't seen.
This maybe off topic, but does anyone know how to get .movs to work in Windows movie maker? |
You don't. MOV is an Apple/Quicktime format so you should never expect it to work with a Microsoft product.

Try Googling for free video conversion programme downloads, but these are never very good.
|
Hey Xavier, I got an idea how you could get more oddworld videos.
How about that: You burn all movies on a DVD and copy that stuff on your page. Is this possible? |
As in burn the videos from the games onto DVDs? Well, you’d have to convert them into file formats that DVD readers can understand, and if we can do that, why not just convert them directly into WMVs, MOVs and Theora?
|
Why, is there a problem then?
Unfortunately, I can't help you guys with that anyway. I don't get this converting stuff. :) |
sorry, but why burn them on DVD :fuzconf:
|
So this is what I would do. I don't know another technique yet. :fuzemb:
|
I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I just dont understand why you would burn them on DVD?
|
Because I don't know how to link the XBox (or PS or PS2) to the computer hard disk directly.
|
Oh I see :)
well I have all the movies from AO ripped (AE too but it's in french :(), the MO ones are on the Movies of Oddworld. but I guess I could try with SW, but I don't have too much time for it right now :( |

|
Someone explained on this forum how to rip the movies from the PS versions of the games, use the search feature :)
