I DID notice the updates. :fuzconf:

Oh, you mean that one video, don't you?

Wil 11-06-2006 02:54 AM

Erm, between the two. The Oddworld Cinema.

skillya_glowi 11-07-2006 06:28 PM

Where is it? Where is it? I must take a look. Is it downloadable over the Internet?

Question: Does the Oddworld Cinema have any downloadable movies? Because when I look at it, it's just pictures, is it meant to be that way?

Creepy Doc 11-08-2006 12:51 AM

http://oddworldlibrary.net/archives/cinema/MO01.htm, the last movie called "Maintaining Vision Trough the Hell of Production" is the one what Maid meant, I guess.

Yes, you can download them all! :) Click (right click) the word near "format".

Wil 11-08-2006 12:58 PM

Hmm, yeah, it’s not very clear where to go to download them. Ordinarily we’d leap into action fixing it, but there are over 330 videos we’d have to do it for.

Matriar 11-08-2006 01:57 PM

Three hundred and thirty videos?? OMG...!

Xavier 11-09-2006 12:03 AM

yep... I worked my ass off on that project, so now do me a favor and enjoy it :p

all the videos can be downloaded, simply right click on the MOV's, AVI's, WMV's,... and use "save link taget as"

it's designed to be the TOGG of Oddworld Videos

Matriar 11-09-2006 02:17 AM

But TOGG doesn't work yet, or does it?

atually it does now :p

Wil 11-09-2006 06:24 AM

Yeah, I just fixed it in a matter of minutes. :p Turned out to be nothing but a few global variables gone astray.

skillya_glowi 11-09-2006 08:19 AM

I think I just drifted into Heaven...

Matriar 11-10-2006 12:59 PM

I found another page with oddworld videos. I don't know which ones are on Oddworld Cinema already, but I give the link anyway:

http://www.ryane.com/portfolio_page.htm

(Look at the "2.Quicktime".)

Xavier 11-10-2006 01:02 PM

all the oddworld related videos from there are on the cinema allready

Matriar 11-10-2006 01:35 PM

Oh, okay. Sorry, I didn't see all movies of it yet. I thought there aren't the "fly"-ones.

Fuzzle Guy 11-11-2006 11:21 AM

Wow. The Cinema is great. I haven't seen those clips of Game Over since it was first televised :). And since I reformatted my computer I thought I was never going to be able to obtain the passport to Oddworld video again :D Thankyou so much Xavier.

Actually, how did you get those many oddworld videos? Just from some known, good pages or did you ask Oddworld Inhabitants to give you some?

(I still like to see more storyboard videos about SW. :))

Xavier 11-16-2006 09:01 AM

well they are all found on the internet, I did not ask any inhabitant for an exclusive one.

but some of them are realy old and aren't available anywhere else anymore :p

I wonder, how much of them are on that page already? Just a question.

Xavier 11-16-2006 12:37 PM

they are all available... ;)

Matriar 11-16-2006 01:07 PM

Do you mean there are really 330 videos? I thought it's not that much. :fuzconf:

Xavier 11-16-2006 01:27 PM

they are not all different ones ;) There are sometimes 3 or 4 formats for the same movie, that's what Max meant.

You don't have problems with the menu, do you? :fuzconf:

looney-bin 11-16-2006 01:34 PM

I liked the videos there. Quite afew there are ones I haven't seen.

This maybe off topic, but does anyone know how to get .movs to work in Windows movie maker?

Nate 11-16-2006 04:15 PM

You don't. MOV is an Apple/Quicktime format so you should never expect it to work with a Microsoft product.

Ah, okay. Now I get it. :)

So how do I convert the file then?

Wil 11-17-2006 03:24 AM

Try Googling for free video conversion programme downloads, but these are never very good.

Creepy Doc 11-17-2006 09:21 AM

Hey Xavier, I got an idea how you could get more oddworld videos.
How about that: You burn all movies on a DVD and copy that stuff on your page. Is this possible?

Wil 11-17-2006 10:44 AM

As in burn the videos from the games onto DVDs? Well, you’d have to convert them into file formats that DVD readers can understand, and if we can do that, why not just convert them directly into WMVs, MOVs and Theora?

Matriar 11-17-2006 03:30 PM

Why, is there a problem then?

Unfortunately, I can't help you guys with that anyway. I don't get this converting stuff. :)

Xavier 11-18-2006 08:47 AM

sorry, but why burn them on DVD :fuzconf:

Creepy Doc 11-18-2006 09:10 AM

So this is what I would do. I don't know another technique yet. :fuzemb:

Xavier 11-18-2006 09:47 AM

I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I just dont understand why you would burn them on DVD?

Creepy Doc 11-18-2006 01:23 PM

Because I don't know how to link the XBox (or PS or PS2) to the computer hard disk directly.

Xavier 11-18-2006 02:04 PM

Oh I see :)

well I have all the movies from AO ripped (AE too but it's in french :(), the MO ones are on the Movies of Oddworld.

but I guess I could try with SW, but I don't have too much time for it right now :(

Matriar 11-20-2006 09:42 AM

well I have all the movies from AO ripped

How did you do that?

Xavier 11-20-2006 10:54 AM

Someone explained on this forum how to rip the movies from the PS versions of the games, use the search feature :)
