Abes Exoddus movie? Enlighten me! :P I feel Im either missing out or misunderstanding!

Oh wow...
All of a sudden, i come in 'ere, and find out that there's a DVD with all the Oddworld cut movies, G-spots, and other cool stuff!?
Now I'm desperate.
But it sucks that it's limited edition.
I would love it if it was out there for my eyes to lay upon...:fuzemb:

Perhaps this should become a FAQ. Perhaps it is already.

Anyway, long story short; OWI assembled the cut scenes from AE with some new linking material to produce an AE short film. It was screened for one night at a cinema in LA so that it could be nominated for the Academy Awards but it did not win. The only way to see the new material is on the DVD, as stated.

The "exclusive" material of the AE movie isn't on the DVD
but that's not a big deal, I have a tape of the movie :p
and honestly it's only worth 50euros if you are a huge addict

Damnit just when you thought you had it all. There's more! Xavier! I DEMAND a copy of that tape :P

I'm sorry, but I don't own 2 videorecorders so I don't see how I could do that :(

I have question? I have the dvd and I feel like this is something missing or the cd is corrupt. I'll try explain it best I can. The slig reported that does Magog on the March. In the dvd he mentions that mullock is alive. The problem is there is one report where he says that there is live report from his field correspondant '???' then it just cuts. Is this the mudokon speech or what?

I'll try to encode the movie; but it isn't that easy, I don't have the material to do this

Xav, if you have TV-FM-tuner on your PC, then what's the problem?play the tape and get AV-channel on PC, capture it and enjoy)))and let us enjoy it too:)

People that want it better make a bid on it fast, because they are starting to become rare.

They produced the MOM scenes of the slig in the studio first and had not yet animated the Courthouse scenes when that plotline was scrapped. They would have been edited together later but unfortunately what's on the DVD was all that was ever made.

Thanks Nate..Just making sure I am not missing out on anything that all!!! It is good get clear up. It is a pity there no field correspondant. As I recall it was a exclusive interview on Mullock surviving the fire of RF. Maybe I making it up...its weeks since I watched the DVD.

What Abe's Exoddus movie?

Abe's Exoddus was nominated for an Oscar, but in order to qualify the movies in the game had to be screened. So OWI joined all the movies from the game together with some filler material to explain everything. There are a few VHS cassettes that crop up occassionally.

It didn't get the Oscar, just in case you were wondering.

;) you know, i have an idea: instead of searching to own the dvd or movie, maybe we could just rent it out to people so that everyone can get a chance to see it, and hours of our lives wont be wasted looking for an opening on ebay. and if the owners get anxious, they can charge late fees, but this beautiful work of art should be free to everyone. I wrote to fan-legal and the email got bounced back. I'm not too sure where to proceed from there.

Neither of those belong to OWI. And the possibility that we may not be given permission is not in itself permission. Oddworld is not abandonware, so quit bugging us. Our stance is final until the situation changes.
