Can someone tell me why MasterChief was hated so much aorund here? Along with Reece Charles. I honestly don't get why so many people hate him in the first place.

Oh yeah, I remember PHM. She was awesome! You don't come across punker chicks that like Ren and Stimpy all too often.
I still keep in contact with Chris (jacob). Pilot was a good member, Oddbodd seemed sort of invisible when I was around.

And Used, I can't recall Masterchief, but I believe it was found out Reece was a multi used by Death (who's still on here on an account or two).

I know the whole multi story. I just felt it was something that Reece did that made people so pissed off at him and his multies. Kind of pathetic the people here are to get so pissed off by something as small as creating multies. Haha, ho hum, hee hee hee.

I think its more to do with the fact that he was an arrogant, lying prick with a superiority complex.

There are/were other multis, so it wasn't the fact that he had more than one account that people got angry over.

Jacob didn't leave with the "Rebellion"... at least not permanently. He left for university quite a few months ago though.

Man, the Jacob and DI days were pretty great. Only lasted a short while during my time here, sadly. I miss their snarky remarks... even the ones directed at me.

I joined at the very end of all the good times, when threads could be threads, free of all the senseless drama. It's probably the reason why I've stuck around.

Short version: Sydney was removed from power by other Admins after the banning of two apparently undeserving members, he was re-instated soon after but it pissed off a lot of people who then left and never returned. They made their own forum, but it was shut down not long after.

Yeah, didn't Sydney own TGA? And when he/she shut it down it down, I heard there was just a big, rainbow page saying "You're all gay" and some type of farewell.

Oh how many times of discussions of the TGA split must exist here. Even people who joined long afterwards, such as Used and me, know lots about it! :p

During the forums hacking last year, I did a few searches with the hacker's name and found numerous forums hacked with the same cover page. I also found lots of forums with threads baout how pissed they were about it, as one would expect.

Tis a shame really, things were going really well at the time with great threads like the Fast Food one. I think the hacking sealed the fate of OWF's dullness and senseless drama (which I can see has dropped quite a bit renetly, good job everyone!).

Just wondering, who here is a member from way back? Like from the EZboard and the UBB days? I remember the old EZboard days when there was no Off-Topic discussion. If you wanted to post a general topic then you had to write (OT) in the subject matter. It got to the point where there was so many of the (OT) threads a general discussion forum was made.

Used, you beat me with posting about Masterchief. The guy kept on claiming he was the uberest of Halo players, and swore he could pwn all of us. Then he went on a random and brutal flaming rampage. I think that it was in one of the Halo 2 threads.

Recently, all the old members have been dropping out, because of the nightmarish new members. And all the old ones. This thread shouldn't be called Hilarity of OWF's History, it should be called, "The Darkness of OWF's History."

Oh yea I remember that. Vaguely... I might have just been lurking this place back then, not actualy registered. But damn... old times XD.

Yeah things have changed quite a bit over the years, then again so have many members to some degree or another. I was only 13 when I first joined the forums and now I'm 18. But there's no denying there were some "dark" times if that's a fitting word for what happened. So how we perceive things changed as well as there seemed to be a lot of drastic change all at once over a short course of time and now not so much, minus some random chaos here and there.

I'm from the UBB days. So yeah, you can call me a semi-veteran.

Nah, I went on a brutal flaming rampage against him.
I have never met a person on a message board that I hate more than that guy.
But he definitely deserved it, possibly not how bad he got it though. I remember Al was good friends with him in real life.

The drama is what made this place. You can't even start an argument here anymore because many new users can't handle it and want this to be a happy place where no one steps out of line and posts an opposing opinion.

Pilot didn't run off with Sydney, it was Pilot who pushed Sydney away. The Glass Asylum may have died, but its legacy continued with The Stoneage Repository and then The Church of Pokey. I briefly swung by there a few months ago, but it's full of such immaturity and lack of depth I just couldn't stay.

I joined the ezBoard Oddworld Forums wayges back. I remember a post by ODDBODD reminiscing about the good old days. :p I remember an argument I got into with PinkHaired over whether Sligs were related to Glukkons. She wouldn't have any of it, refusing, as she did, to accept anything to do with evolution. Haha, poor soul. I got my caps lock on and everything.
