Fisher's act dropped for a moment, being so dettered by Silvia. But soon it was up again.
"Understandable. It's cool. I just though---" He sensed a presence above the house. Powerful. Dark. Could it be Slade? Could he have stumbled upon him this easily? He expected to have to force Silvia to bring him to Slade. But this was too great. He focused this thoughts on the force above them. He heard the short exchange ... As he did this, he had appeared to freeze in place. He knew this, but didn't care. He was to anxious to care how he appeared to these women. He knew "Olivia" was coming down. He would have to play it cool. He was really looking forward to working with Slade.... |
Grace was rapidly losing patience with this guy, and Siliva definately had the right idea. She wasn't so bad at all this really.
And then he trailed off and stood, looking upward, like he was in a trance. Grace began to feel uneasy. If this guy was a wizard or magician or whatever, then whatever he was doing, whatever it was that was going on, could be dangerous. And if whatever it was that he was doing to hold this house together happened to switch off she wouldn't bet much on their survival. Grace: "hey..." She didn't want to distract him if he was doing something useful, but she was definately uneasy. "Hey, you... You there?" |

IC: Olivia landed neatly on her feet in an upstairs room of the building and looked around to see if there was anything of use in here. She caught sight of a torch sitting on a shelf nearby, and it promptly lifted up and flew into her outstretched hand. Any electrical device was potentially useful to her, so she attached it to her belt and walked swiftly but silently out of the room into a hallway. She stopped and looked both ways for a few seconds, then decided that right was the way she needed to go. She walked down the hall a short distance until she came to a flight of stairs with an open door at the bottom. Sensing that she was close, she pressed herself against the left wall and moved stealthily down the stairs until she was beside the doorway. She stayed there for a few minutes, considering the best course of action to take. Then, feeling confident in her own ability to either handle the situation or get herself out if it was beyond her, she stepped into the doorway and looked out at the three in the next room, waiting for one of them to make the first move... |
OOC: I'm gonna go on with the assumption everyone's in the car.
Blaze shrugged. "There's no time. We'll have to assume Pseok can catch up later. Charger needs to get to a hospital as soon as possible." Art started the car and drove off, glad to be on the clear side of the road. --- Fisher turned and, half expecting to see Slade himself, was smiling and ready to extend a friendly hand shake. However, he knew it wasn't Slade before he even turned around, and we only fooled by the human in him. No matter, he stopped himself from being too forward. He did, however, maintain a friendly air. "Hello there!" he tittered. "A friend of Slade's, are we?" |
Charger sighed.
'Look, he's the only one among us who can fly, yes? We are in the middle of nowhere, the eagle could scout ahead for towns and tell us where we should go.' Kaira looked up with a glance. 'Yea, thats a great idea!' Charger shifted a bit. 'Yes, if we know where he is... anyone have any ideas to track him down?' |
Grace had now definately lost all track of the conversation, but Robbie seemed to have been expecting whoever this was...
She would have liked to force her authority into this, but she reminded herself that if this guy was all that was keeping this house standing, and they were still below water level. And if this guy was only interested in the newcomer then what interest would he have in keeping her and Silvia alive. She chose the next best option (in her opinion) and edged silently towards Silvia, attempted to make eye contact and with clever use of eyebrows, tried to urge her towards her. |
Swick crossed his arms and poked his head between the two seats and looked towards Chrager and agreed to his plan.
"Well, now that we have a plan for transportation, how are we going to get some cash in our pockets?" Money had always been an issue with Swick. It took him some luck to scrape up enough money for that cobbler that was now resting in his stomach. |
Olivia's eyes narrowed and the orange pentagonal star symbol on her front seemed to shimmer yellow for a second.
"Perhaps," she said in a tone completely void of anything even remotely resembling warmth, "And who might you be?" Before he could answer, she glanced over at Silvia and Grace. "So..." she mused, "Afraid of the power of dark magic in one person, you enlist the help of another with the same power?" Silvia picked up the hint of sarcasm in her voice. "I don't know who you are," she answered, "but this is no doing of mine." Not the best answer in the world, but it was all she could think of for an answer right now. She looked towards Grace and noticed her "gestures" to move closer. She started to move, but Olivia cut in, "Hey you, stay right where you are!" She took the flashlight off her belt and pointed it at Silvia, her thumb sitting ready at the switch. "And you too," she glanced at Grace. She then turned her attention back to Fisher and waited for his reply. She knew how ridiculous it might look, her threatening them to stand still with a torch, but she also knew that she could do extraordinary things with this ordinary flashlight. |
Fisher laughed on the inside.
"My name is Robert Fisher. No tricks, no treachery. I'd like to speak with your pal Slade. It's my hope that he and I can form a partnership. I come in peace, as they say on television." He glanced around at Grace and Silvia, then back at the flashlight (Fisher knew it was a potential weapon, but wasn't worried for his safety). "I don't suppose you could put that thing down? Between the two of us, I'm sure that these two girls aren't a threat." --- Art shrugged. "I don't know much about money now. Drakko technically owes me some cash, but since he's dead, I'm fresh out." He glanced at Dave in the seat behind him. "I don't suppose you brought any money, kid?" Dave (ignoring that he was being called kid again), shook his head. "No luck. And I don't suppose Any of you guys have much cash on you...?" He trailed off, not really sure. Blaze and Streak shrugged and looked to Charger. |
'Well hey don't look at me, I don't have any cash on me...' Charger shruged.
'Didn't just you inherit a few million?' Kaira asked and gave him a harsh look. Charger sighed. 'Do you see a bank anywhere near?' he grunted. The looked at Swick. 'And what do we need money for anyway right now?' |
"Well maybe to buy some food..." Krisha said, who had approached the rest.
"Food?" Kix asked, "We can just go and hunt some..." An old memory struk her and she smiled. "Well I supose we just need to find a hospital. Charger is badly hurt, and money is the last thing we need now... Oh wait, do you have to pay for those hospitals?" Kix asked. "Iono..." Krisha shrugged, and looked at the rest for an answer. |
'Probably,' Charger reacted. 'But if there's a hospital there's probably also a bank, so yea...'
Kaira nodded at Kix and Krisha. 'We should get going before he bleeds to death...' '...hey it's not THAT bad!' '...get in you two,' she smiled at the two cats. |
Both Kix and Krisha got in the trunk.
"Soo.. Where is the nearest hospital?" Krisha asked, trying to sit comfortably. "Does anyone have a map?" Kix then asked. |
ooc: Can I make a little suggestion?
Used, nothing against you personally, and nothing against your character or you being in this RPG, its good to get fresh blood and whatever, but right now everyone's trying to move on from Los Santos and with the sudden arrival of Swick it's slowing the RPGdown a lot, to get him in the story it'll either take us some time hanging about on the hillside as it gets dark or you'll jump into the car and it'll look really strange in the story. One minute you're a stranger, next you're in the car and everything. I'm not saying you should leave the RPG, definately not, but really it's a bad time to join, and maybe it would be better if you stepped out, we pretend Swick didn't appear yet and then you come back in when we reach our next destination: the bank or hospital or whatever. People in general can feel free to dissagree with me, but I think it would be better, just to wait a little while, we're all trying to get a move on anyway, so it shouldn't be too long before we get going. No worries. Grace was not pleased about being called 'not a threat', plus the fact this woman seemed to think she could order her about with a FLASH LIGHT! She reached for her badge. Grace: "hey, listen, I'm a member of the Los Santos police force, and in this situation I don't think you really have the right or the control to tell us what to do. If you wanna survive this mess then stop thinking we're your prisoners or something and remember we're all in equal danger here. Stop messing about, we've either got to find our own way out of this or survive each other until rescue teams arrive." She read 'Lord of the Flies' recently and wasn't enjoying this situation much. ooc: (For those who care, Lord of the Flies is a book about some school kids who crash in a plane on a tiny island and end up fighting each other and two of thm are killed by the others. Tis a good book.) Still waiting for Brewy |
Drakko looked off into the distance and saw a car filled with people heading off.
"You better catch up,tell Charger i'll finish this later." Drakko didn't bother waiting for a reply he just lay down and continued regaining his strength. |
:
|
ooc: No worries.
Cheers TBM! Pseok looked at him as he lay down, feeling slightly confused. But with what counted for hm as a shrug, he took off and flew a few metres into the air and quickly caught sight of the car and flew towards them. Pseok: "Charger? You alright, i heard you on the dam, and..." He spotted Charger's wound. "Are you ok?" |
'Do I look okay to you?' he grunted.
Kaira gave him a harsh look before standing up and adressing the bird. 'Hey Pseok, glad to have you back again. Listnen, we need to get a move on again, could you maybe fly ahead, follow the road and point us to the nearest town? You'd help us out bigtime.' Charger just nodded. 'Hmhm...' |
Pseok nodded, glanced at Havoc's arm and then pushed himself up into the air again.
Light was beginning to fade as the sun sank behind the high mountains to the west that they had flown over that morning and evening turned to night. Pseok's normally brilliant sight was not so good with so little daylight left, but circling slowly high up he spotted a large patch of lights to the North East, huddled on the end of an arm of the mountains where they stretched out briefly from the line before sinking back in. A trail of lights was running away from the distant city, stretching, apparently along the road, towards Los Santos. taking in as much as he could, he swung back down towards the ground. Pseok: "There's a town towards the north west of here. If you drive about 50 metres down this road there's a turning to the left that should take you in the right direction. Looks like there are a lot of cars heading here, towards Los Santos. Ambulances and stuff, probably... Do you have a torch or something? Then i could fly over the road leading the way, so you could see me, until you can see the city yourself." ooc: Hew, new section, might as well start a new day! Or new night, which usually comes first. Hehe, no NHS in Los Santos then? I'll add a new character soon, and most of you are aware of my intentions to get rid of Grace. She's really just not working as a character. |
OOC: NHS? Whats NHS? :P
--- 'Thanks Pseok,' Kiara told him with a friendly smile. Meanwhile Charger reached over to the small window giving him a look inside the car. 'Okay lets get going, There's a road on the left about 50 meters that way, it should get us to a town.' He looked at Art as the numbskull just kept staring back at him. After an nasty silence, Charger stared at him with a calm look. 'Police, ambulance & the army are all on their way over here, which of those three is it you're waiting for, mister moron?' |
Olivia didn't answer Grace or Fisher, but slowly pointed the flashlight upwards towards the roof. She clicked it on and instantly a continuous streak of what looked like green lightning shot out of the bulb to the roof. She brought the torch slowly round in an arc, leaving a trail of scorch marks along the roof and then down the wall, finishing her sweep with the lightning shooting between Grace and Silvia and making the latter jump back in fright. Then she turned it back off again and the lightning immediately vanished.
"Consider yourselves warned," Olivia spoke quietly. Then, turning back to Fisher, she looked like she was about to say something when suddenly a jet of flame shot upwards from the ground to her left. The fire spread out and formed the shape of a fiery man, then in an instant it seemed to just "puff" out, leaving Daniel standing quite unharmed in the room. Almost before he had appeared, he had his bow and arrow at the ready and aimed at Fisher. Then, to Olivia's right, a wavery shadow appeared, gradually becoming more and more solid until it turned into Slade. He bowed slightly, "Joseph Slade, at your service." |
OOC: Uh. Huh. So ... I guess that this ...
:
:
>.> Okay. Fair enough. Art shrugged. "Not waiting for anything. Everybody hop in." And he himself climbed into the driver's seat. --- OOC: Get ready, Splat. --- A huge, friendly grin broke out on Fisher's face. He ignored the weapons pointed at him completely. "Well, Joseph Slade, in the flesh! And such a flashy entrance!" Fisher turned and smiled at Grace. "And now, my dear, we should be going. Mr. Slade and I have some business to discuss." Facing Slade again, like they were old friends. "Allow me to take you and your pals -" he indicated Silvia, Daniel, and Olivia "- somewhere more comfortable." And Fisher magicked everyone away, leaving Grace alone ... and dropping the protection on the house... ~~~ Fisher and the others were now in a pleasant office. Red carpets, red drapes framing a full wall picture window, a deep brown desk, surrounded by identical scarlet leather chairs. Fisher sat behind the desk, and Slade and his cohorts were seated across from him. "Mr. Slade, please forgive my abrupt actions. But I'd like to form a sort of partnership with you. We have equal skill, and I think that if we were to combine efforts, we could accomplish many goals. What do you think?" |
Olivia and Daniel seemed a little disorientated by the sudden shift, but Slade was undeterred. As for Silvia, she was already utterly confused!
Slade was silent for a minute, then answered, "I would be interested to know just what goals you have in mind?" |
OOC: GODDAMNIT, sorry Dave, I seem to miss out on a lot of your stuff >.<. Won't happen again I swear! >_<
|
Fisher's expression didn't change, but inside he raised his guard. Although he did intend to make a completely legitamate and honest partnership, there were some goals of his own he had to keep secret.
Instead, he said: "It's not my business to know what my superiors are up to. But, as a sign of friendship, I'd be willing to contribute however I can to any causes you have. Just so long as," he added quickly, "you don't consider me an underling, like these three." He motioned to the others. "You and I are equally skilled, or close enough for it to not matter." He didn't say who he thought was more powerful, as it would be more politic to let Slade what he wanted. "So treat me as an equal, and you have my services at your disposal." |
Slade considered for a few moments, then nodded,
"Very well. Such an alliance could prove productive - but I'm hesitant to say 'partnership' until I can accurately judge how trustworthy you are. As I'm sure you will understand," he added. "But I'm curious as to why, when we have clearly co-existed for years now, you chose to make this move now. And I'd like to know how and when you learned of me, as I'm sure I have never seen you before. Care to elaborate?" Olivia and Daniel were now paying close attention to the conversation, and Silvia had finally realized who Slade was, though she still had no idea who Fisher was. |
Fisher considered briefly, then settled on the truth.
To save time (and all our brians from reading it again), I won't retype everything he said, but here's the gist of it: he told Slade about the existance of other realities, and that he was originally from another one, which is why neither had heard of the other. In his explanation, Fisher risked mentioning the RPG, which is where he learned of Slade. When he was finished, he paused and asked, "Is everything clear to you?" |
ooc: I spent half an hour writing a post on Friday, and then the school computers deleted it :fuzmad:
Anyway, take two. Stiff upper lip and all that. I think, for the sake of speed, we should assume that everybody has now got in the car and they are driving off towards generic town number 3, which someone should think about naming, rather than waiting for everyone to post "all my character got into the car and waited for Dave to post so we can actually get moving". In the mean time... He bowed slightly, "Joseph Slade, at your service." Grace pulled out her gun, waved it around between Olivia and the two new arrivals, unsure where to stop, and then settled for pointing it at Olivia. And suddenly she was alone. THe house creaked painfully. She swore. Then the electricity, which was apparently only being supported by Fisher's spell, switched off, plunging her into almost total darkness. Realising what was about to happen she made a run for the stairs when the door suddenly burst inwards, throwing her back, and then the windows and water flooded into the room throwing large shards of broken glass, anything in the house that hadn't been nailed down and Grace herself around, crashing against walls, floors, turning her over and over until she lost all idea of what was up, what was solid and what was water. Fingers numb from the sudden and intense cold scrambled desperately for a hold on anything that was sold, that wasn't washing around the room. The half-a-breath of air that she'd managed to hold in her lungs was proving to be of little worth. She was weak and battered and her body screamed for air by the time water stopped flooding into the house and some order returned, but now held in a disorientated darkness she was totally lost and whatever direction she pulled herself in seemed to bring no air, just more freezing, crushing water. Bright, silvery light high above! The cold face of the moon gazed down on her helpless form as she must have somehow pulled herself through a windo or door. She tugged desperately upwards and then her head broke the surface. SHe gulped down deep, glorious breaths of cold, biting air, gasping and shivering. Her body was weak and she could feel herself beginning to sink again. Looking desperately around in the feeble light she spotted a flat surface just above the water level, maybe the roof of an extension to someone's house, a few metres up (or down) the road. Se pulled herself frantically towards it and finally her hands touched a solid wall, found the surface above and heaved her bosy, dripping and trembling, up onto the wet but beautifully flat and solid roof. She retched. And then rolled onto her side, curled into a ball and lay shivering and scared on the roof. It would be many hours before the rescue teams found her. ooc: ok, so under the advice of Havoc i kept Grace alive in case I wanted to bring her back into the story later on. However, as for now you can count her out of things. There's not much i could do with her in her current situation anyway. Assume what you will, that she was saved, that she died of cold long before that or whatever. I might bring her back in, I might not. Anyway, I'll bring in a new character in a few days, probably once (or just before) they reach this new town. I might run it past Havoc first as the idea i have might seem a little too much to me. Oh, and for the benefit of Havoc and anyone else who doesn't know, the NHS stands for National Health Service which pays for health care in England so we don't have to pay for things like hospital treatment and basic dentistry ourselvelses. American's don't have it and i basically took it for granted before you all started talking about banks that wherever we end up would have it. But yeah, whatever. |
When everyone was in the car and they were finaly on their way, Kaira leaned out the truck for a moment and yelled a mild 'Thank you!' to Pseok for helping them out.
Charger meanwhile waved his good arm at the bird, making a gesture to him to follow them in the air. When they turned left onto the road Pseok had directed them to, Charger had a look over the roof, seeing massive ammounts of cars and sirens heading their way on the other side of the road. 'Get down,' he said quickely and pushed Kaira down to the floor. He opended the window in the back. 'Blaze, Streak, try to get out of view before any of those police or army guys sees you.' After that he ducked down himself and waited till the rush went passed. |
Streak and Blaze obediently crouched down. Dave, not thinking, ducked down too.
Art was driving a little faster than neccesary. His reasoning was that if the cops and what not were going the other way, he could drive how he wanted. But by the look of things, he would have to stop soon, anyway, as other cars had stopped so the drivers could get out and gawk at the damage. Frigging rubberneckers, he thought. Such a pain. Art swore, and took the car off road to avoid the car barricade. Once safely past the considerable length of parked cars, he bumped back on the road. The cops even had trouble getting along on the other side of the road, and traffic had slowed to a crawl. "I think you guys can get comfortable now," Art muttered. |
Slade nodded, "Clear enough." He had his own theories on matters such as these, so this was just confirmation of some and refining and correction of others.
"Is there anything else you wished to discuss?" OOC: Sorry about the short posts lately, I guess this is the trouble when you have a whole bunch if inter-related characters! :p It shouldn't last much longer, though. |
Pseok was taken by surprise as Art suddenly swerved the car off the road into the trees and, having not really been expecting much, especially with the block on the road, lost sight of the car.
Ah well, they'd rejoin the road sooner or later. He took the oppertunity to fly ahead towards the town and see what it was like. It was about a third of the size of Los Santos and looked more industrial. It was standing on the point of the mountains, just heading slightly up the slope. On the north eastern side a river ran, turning north and Pseok found himself wondering if it would reach the cold northern seas that he'd been forced to leave what seemed like a lifetime ago. He flew down towards the city. Inside the streets were quite busy, probably preparing for the arrival of injured people from Los Santos, he guessed. Further out the city turned to warehouses and a few small factories, and then well-cultivated farmland. He turned and flew back down the road until he found the car, now past most of the rest of the traffic. He swung down, waited for a window to open (someone inside noticed him and opened it) and shouted to Art. Pseok: "HEY, THE TOWN'S ROADS ARE PRETTY CROWDED, I THINK YOU SHOULD PARK OUTSIDE AND WALK IN. THERE'S A HOSPITAL NOT TO FAR." He paused and then added, "YOU BETTER HURRY UP. THEY'RE GONNA BE BUSY WHEN THE CROWD FROM LOS SANTOS GET HERE." |
Charger looked ahead as the eagle yelled down to them. The town was maybe 10 minutes away at the speed they were currently driving. The road leading there was pretty much deserted, probably because the only major access road had been cut off. The other lane was packed though.
He looked trough the window at Art. 'Try to get as close as possible to the hospital, if you can find it...' Then he sat back and thought some stuff over as they drove. Signs were flying past every once in a while. After a few minutes he got back up and looked at Blaze, Streak and Dave. 'I don't take it any of you have an idea to get into the town without being shot? I mean... this is a small mountain town, not Los Santos...' he rose an eyebrow and grinned. 'And I don't think people around here are going to be liking us much...' |
Art flashed a thumbs up at Charger and kept driving.
Streak and Blaze didn't know what to say to Charger. Dave ventured a thought. "If you guys stay here, Art and I might be able to go and bring a doctor out here, maybe. And we could always pay him off to keep him from opening his mouth or whatever..." --- Fisher shook his head. "For now, I've finished." He reached out, indicating a handshake. "What do you say?" |
'What farm country place are you from, kid?' Charger almost blurted out laughing. 'We pay him and then he'll talk anyway, don't have any knowledge of human nature?'
He grunted. 'And besides, I BROKE my arm, remember? I'm not a doctor but I know for one thing thats not something you cure in a few minutes...' 'More like a few weeks...' Kaira added. Charger looked down on her. 'Thank you for that comforting thought...' he whimpered. Kaira just offered him a teasing smile. They drove on and Charger spend some more time thinking. A few more minutes later they passed a sign, it read: Welcome to Golden Valley, population 4.897. 'Heh,' Charger snickered. 'Golden Valley, sounds like some old western town.' 'Maybe it is,' Kaira added. Charger just smiled at her and then looked back to Dave and the rest. 'Okay look, with all hell about to break loose there's two things that can happen. Either people will be to busy with their work to even notice us, or we will get a few thousand eyes staring at us. Either way I think that at least for the first couple of hours we'll be in the save zone because everyone is preoccupied with Los Santos. Most of the police is there, so we don't have to worry about them. I say we just walk into the hospital as if nothing is akward and see what happens from there?' |
Dave, ashamed, looked down and stifled up. When he noted the town's population he was surprised. His high school had had almost that many students when he graduated. This Golden Valley would be a ludicrously small town.
"... see what happens from there?" Art was nodding. "It couldn't hurt. And besides, if we don't get your arm set soon, it'll likely never heal properly. I vote we just go for it." Streak and Blaze nodded and muttered in general assent. Dave didn't say anything, still embarassed. |
The hospital was not located far away from the main road leading into the town and it thus didn't take them long to get there.
'Art is right,' Charger pointed out. 'For a change.' As they approuched the hospital and Art had put the car to a stop closeby, Charger hopped out the back, looking around to see if anyone had been making a fuss yet. To his surprise it was very quiet in the streets. A few people were about, but non of them seemed to notice the group. He walked over to Art's door and pulled it open. 'Get your guns out and cover my tail in case some freak with a gun shows up,' he said on a serious tone. 'The rest of you stay here, we'll be back in a bit.' With that he dragged Art out of the car. 'Come on.' As they entered the lobby of the hospital, it was rather busy, but not immensely crowded. Everyone was minding their own bussiness. The receptionist was working, a few people were reading their paper or talking to each other. No-one seemed to notice them. Charger was about to head for the reception desk, but as he walked past a door it suddenly opened and he was dragged inside, on his bad arm. The door was slammed shut before Art could enter and Charger was about to die from the pain that shot trough his arm. 'AAAARGH! Damnit what the **** is wrong with you!!!' he shouted right in a doctors face, apparently the guy that dragged him into the room. He reached out to the guy with his right arm and grabbed him at his throat, pushing him into a wall. 'Ighm sghorri!' the guy managed to sqeeze out. 'Plgheze et me gho! Ighm ognly trghing to gelp yough!' Charger let go of the guy, regaining his calm as the pain dripped away again. 'Ugh...' the man coughed as he rubbed his throat. 'Quite a temper you got there buddy.' 'It's what I'm famous for,' Charger commented with straight face. 'Yea thats true,' the doctor said. 'But what are you doing down here, you shouldn't be here!' Charger pulled a confused face. 'Wha?' he questioned. The guy looked at him in an almost admiring way. 'Facinating, unbelievable I get to see you in the flesh...' Charger became only more confused. 'Hey doc, slow down. Do we know each other or something? Cuz I dunno what you're talking about...' |
ooc: New character time! I apologise for the very long bio, most of it is just explaining the species.
Name: Elfair Deccar Age: 17 Gender: Female Species: Human/Ware For the benefit for all those who don’t have access to the twisted depths of my mind, a brief description on what a ware is: About 1 in 200 humans bitten by a ware will become a ware. The odds for most animals (including anthromorphs) are miniscule, though wolves have a slightly higher chance. Anyone or anything that is bitten and doesn’t become a ware dies. Anyone who becomes a ware will slowly undergo physical changes such as darkening of hair and eyes, teeth becoming sharper and finger and toenails becoming thicker and claw-like, as well as other changes: becoming totally carnivorous (eats only meat) and feeling an urge to kill, particularly more intelligent creatures such as humans. On top of this, a ware will be able to transform into a creature they have bitten for about 8 hours after the bite. Contrary to popular belief, they are as easy to kill as any other creature. Silver bullets are optional. Appearance: Hair was blonde before she was bitten, now dark, but the colour is indistinguishable. Eyes are also dark and shadowed. Thick, black claw-like finger and toenails roughly cut and sharp teeth, including a set of larger fangs. When she’s expecting to see other people she wears a large, heavy coat, gloves, boots, a large hat and (sometimes) a scarf which conceals who (and what) she is. When alone she prefers less constraining clothes, sandals and simple clothing, plus a large black cloak when it’s cold. Bio: Bitten when she was 13, Elfair considers herself unlucky to have survived. Chased away from her home, she followed the edge of the mountains until she grew weary of travelling and settled above a large town. She hates killing other humans so she forces herself to live alone. However, when the need for food or when the urge to kill that she feels as a ware, or the need for company grows too strong she has been known to kill humans, turn into her victim and spend a few hours in the town, maybe using the time to buy supplies such as clothes, shelter and sometimes food. I don't really intend to have her bite any of our characters (unless someone really wants her to :fuzwink: ) and I'm aware that it's normally spelt were (as in werewolf) but as were is a real word and ware isn't (shut up havoc :fuzmad: ) we can all just ignore that. Pseok floated a short way above the ground as Art and Charger got out of the car. He paused for a minute, going over the last days events in his head until he reached a decision. He flew down and landed on top of the car, the darkness hiding him reasonably well. Pseok: "Hey, writing guy, What-ever-your-name-is? I... Can I talk to you away from the others?" -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- A dark figure wrapped in a black cloak dragged a dead sheep up the mountainside. the sheep's fluff was stained with its blood across its body, especially around its neck, as if it had been deeply scratched and then bitten. Reaching a hollow cave in the rock, the figure rolled the dead sheep onto its back, bent over it and bit deeply into the flesh of its belly, tore off its mouth-ful of meat and swallowed with a satisfied sigh. the animal would last for a few days. No more hunting, no fear of running into another person. No one came up here anymore, people would be safe. The beast could not hurt anyone for those few safe days. |
Art followed in a respectful silence behind Charger. Though he didn't draw his guns, he was poised to at any threat.
And when Charger was dragged into another room, and he was barred out, he did reach for them. But to draw guns in this hospital might cause more problems that he needed. So he decided that, in keeping cool, he would knock on the door. What he actually did was slam his fist on the door rapidly three times. "What's going on in there? Hey!" --- Dave and the others, still in the car, didn't quite know if they should follow Charger and Art, despite Charger's warning. But then Pseok flew down. "Hey, writing guy, What-ever-your-name-is? I... Can I talk to you away from the others?" Dave looked at the others and shrugged. "I suppose so. I'll be back, you guys." He opened the door and stepped out. He walked about thirty yards off to the side of the car. "So, Pseok. What's on your mind?" |
Charger looked over at the door as Art banged on it, then opened it in a quick movee and dragged him inside.
'Get in here...' he sighed then shut the door and turned back to the doctor. 'Look, I have no idea who you are and I don't have any idea how you can possibly know me.' The guy smiled. 'You don't seriously think your presence has gone unnoticed all these years did you?' All these years? The hell? 'What?' Charger questioned. 'What the hell are you talking about man?' 'About you, obviously. Yet I had expected you to be far more dangrous, but it seems you're not so bad. I guess stories like that get exagerated a lot huh?' Charger stared at Art for a moment with a puzzled look then back at the doctor. 'Whatever pal, I dunno what you're talking about. I came in here because my arm is broken and it might be in my best interest to get it fixed.' He pulled a sarcastic face as he said it and pointed to his wrecked arm. 'Yes ofcourse, but keeping you unseen in here won't be easy... people will be scared of you...' 'Seriously?' he questioned and gave the guy another sarcastic look. 'Never thought people would be afraid of me. Whadda ya think of that Arthur? People are scared of me!' 'Who are you anyway, Arthur is it?' the doc asked Art. 'I was not aware you lived up there with humans.' Charger chuckled. 'No comment...' he grinned as he had the urge to make a funny comment about Art. |
