sorry but what's the point of this? besides the fact you love fat-pie? |
He's been watching to much fat-pie flashes :p
The scene where we disocoverd stranger's horrble embarrasing shocking secret, it gave me goose bumps and I like the whole approuch. My favourte scene, too bad it wasn't rended very well in some parts. |
I liked that scene; though I would have liked it more if I hadn't already known what was going to happen.
What do you mean by not being rendered well? Are you sure it's not just the heat haze from the fires? |
:
BTW, Oddish. Nice christmas-y bannar there. |
Nate- parts of that particular fmv were very sub-par. Look at the outlaw minions. Especially their mouths.

Becos I r teh small krabzor. ^\i_i/^ It's like peeking at your Christmas present early, some young chaps do it on occasion.
But still, agh, why did I? Actualy, the main thing was spoiled for me in a thread in GD I thinks, with a member who supposedly got the game like a week before the initial American release. |
Most of us knew about the twist because we saw the Xbox tv special and discussed 'the steef' for quite some time before we even knew his name. Or lack thereof.

|
I never saw a TV special about Oddworld! Man I need to watch a littl more TV, I watch it like twice a week.
|
I like the whole moment when lorne told in interviews that stranger was not a steef...
he tryed to recreate the surprise for us :p nice try |
:
I still got to laugh at it... |
Heh, that sounds cool. Im bummed that I missed that.
|
I remember seeing an oddworld special on g4tv. It was a cinematech episode showing ALL the oddworld movies created with Lorne explaining his insparation for each movie. It was fun to watch.
|
What! I dont think I get these channels.
Hey Metroixer, since youve heard Lorne's voice how it is normally, does it sound simillar to some of the character's voices he does? |
Actually he did an impression of a native mudokon once and....well let's just say it was amazing. Also he sounds NOTHING like the oddworld characters. It's strange. Like he has more than one voice or something 0.o.
|
Lorne sounds just like any other guy as far as I can remember. I has a slight accent, I think, but not sure what kind. Keep in mind that a lot of the voices, even with Lorne's great imitation skills, are digitaly edited.
To bad I didn't see those shows tho :(. |
Wow, thats crazy. I wish I could see these shows, they sound great!
So Lorne did and impression of a Native Mudokon? Did he do any others? Also is his voice (WHEN HE IS JUST REGULARLY TALKING)high, low or medium? Cause all of the voices he does are high pitched. |
It's medium. Like an ordinary teenager like voice.
|
Is there any way you could maybe post a link or something to a recording of his voice?
|
The opening of AO, rupture farms haha love it
|
The ending of Stranger's Wrath is pretty damn amazing.
|
No Cullen I don't think I can. Try going to www.g4tv.com. You might have some luck there.
|
|
How does SW end anyway
|
you'll have to ask that in the spoiler section... not here
|
Play it and find out.
Its most definatley worth it. |
I love the opening sequence of Abe's Oddysee for the sheer mystery and darkness it presents Oddworld as. I get all nostalgic just thinking about it. The transition sequences were awesome in how they presented Oddworld as such a large, organic world.
The directing of the films seems to have improved over the years. The opening and ending sequences of Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath are so incredibly emotional. I can't help but well up inside when the music climaxes at the reveal of Munch's Moon, or when the quote from Chief Luther Standing Bear appears. It's a shame a later games have so few. There are just six in the entirity of SW. I do, though, think that the earlier games contain better quotes. Who could ever forget the words to the SoulStorm Brewery Junior Executives' Conference or Humphrey and Irwin's conversation? Compared with them, the language in the Stranger's Wrath movies is rather uninteresting. |
:fuzzle: The one with Humphrey and Irwin talking about Munch. I memorized the whole thing. I can post it if you want me too. :spin::spin::spin:
|
I'd have to say Stranger's ending, because it just seemed to touch something in me with that saying, and the beautiful scenery.
****SPOILER**** Also, I liked and hated how they let the squid-thing escape from the old Steef. It looked really cool. At first I thought the sign said Magog Cartel, but I replayed it and saw Sekto Springs. |
Ooh, thats a tricky one, in terms of Graphics, Abes Odysee FMV's looks a bit blocky, but then SW could pass for something ILM has done.
My Favourite FMV for Story, and entertainment factor is at the end of Munches Oddysee during the auction, but the best movie for graphics is the closing movie at the end of Strangers Wrath. The Colour looks AMAZING and the animation is so pure. They should win an awad or something for that. |
