Chapter 9: Finding a Crew

"Who's there!" said Scrap, looking around. It was dawn, and Rose wasn't awake. "Show yourself!" He said louder, and he saw something pop out of the tree. The thing looked scared. It was still and sort of crying. Scrap pointed his sword at it. It was a small blue mudokin. "Wadda you want?" said Scrap, annoyed. "I....Sir, I saw you sleeping here." the mudokin trembled at the size of Scrap. " I thought you might need some help. My house is 2 miles from here. You may come, if you like." Scrap pointed his sword away. "You gotta town nearby?" The mudokin looked at him. "Tis' about 18 miles from my house. We shoulden't go cause' the guards said there is an animal loose. He looks a little bit like you." Scrap thought it might be Kru. What if it wasn't. He did sail far away. Scrap was willing to take a chance. "Oh, and the town is on an island. I have a boat to get there." Scrap was now sure it was Kru, but what if the town was a place that Skum ruled? "Who lives with you?"asked Scrap. "My grandmother and my brother." Scrap nodded. He agreed to go with the boy. "Here. Have the map." Scrap took the map to the town and put it in his bag. "What is your name?" asked Scrap. "My name is--" Scrap looked at him. He had an arrow through his head. He dropped dead, his mouth fozen in the letter S. "No." said Scrap. He looked and saw another mudokin, but his skin was darker. "No more." the mudokin had 9 men behind him. "We've come to take you to prison. You have tried to destroy a pratrol ship. Get down." Scrap looked at the mudokin. "No more running." Scrap was about to explode. "AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!" He charged at the lead mudokin. He punched him right in the face. He heard a crack, and the mudokin droped dead.
"Who else?" said Scrap angrily. No reply. "I'll take all of ya out then!" An evil grin formed on Scrap's face. He punched one in the groin. 2 down. He kicke one in the face. 3 down. He pick up one and threw him at another. 5 down. The others had guns out. Scrap went to the trunk and woke Rose up. "Go! Run. Follow this map and take these bags. I'll catch up." She nodded and ran down the road. He grabbed his sword and went to kill the five mudokins. They fired at him, but he dodged every bullet with his animal reflexes. He sliced off the legs of 2 and stabbed 1. 8 down. He stabbed mudokin number 8 with a fast jab. He raised his sword high over the last one and with a big SWOOSH he took his head off and his body dropped. He was sweatin, and he put his sword in it's sheath. He sat at the trunk of the tree and took a rest for a few minutes. He got up and walked to the road. He walked down ther road for hours.
After 4 or so hours, Scrap reached a house. The house was big and it had several houses around the area. He went to the house and knocked on the door. An old mudokin opened the door. "Welcome." she said. Scrap walked in and saw Rose. "Hi. This lady welcomed me in. She asked me if I knew where her grandson is. Do you?" Scrap hesitated for a moment. He didn't want to be the person to tell her her grandson was dead. "Your grandson..................is dead." The mudokin had tears coming from her eyes. "What?" asked the old lady. "Well, I soppose he got what was coming to him." Scrap saw she was just pretending to be fine with it. Trying to change the subject, SCrap asked, "Do you know anyone who can sail around here? I need someone to take me to the island town. "Go ask around in the village. Lots of sailors live around here." the mudikin lead Rose and Scrap out. "Goodbye." she said. Scrap an Rose walked to a house and knocked on the door.

That was a very well written chapter. Short, but very nice. Thank you, I really liked it.

New chapter. Been really busy lately.

Chapter 9: Finding a Crew

First they were scared when they walked into the bar. Scrap and Rose tried 3 houses already and there were no sailors. They figured that sailors would be in a bar or something. As they walked in, everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at them. Scrap heard some low mumbles, and then someone spoke up. "Wudda you want 'round here?" Said the bartender. Scrap quickly replied, "We're looking for a sailor or a sailing crew. We need to get to the town." The bartender looked at him and pointed to a table. On the table were 6 people. Scrap and Rose walked over and nodded. The biggest one at the table said, "What?" Scrap replied, "We're looking for a sailor. Are you one?" The man looked at his men. They looked tierd. "You come back here tomorrow morning and we'll talk. My name is Captian Kuup." With that, Scrap and Rose left the bar and walked to a 2 story house. It was an inn, and the owner let them sleep there. They fell asleep.
As Scrap and Rose left, the Captian thought. Scrap, Rose, and everyone else did not know this, but Captian Kuup worked for Skum. Skum had a big government system that ruled the land. He had every thing from sailors and merchants that worked for him. Kuup was Skum's right-hand man. He was probably the only one who knew. The steef in town, that's why they want to go there. They don't know he ratted them out. He saw there pictures somewhere and recognized them. Scrap and rose. He was tierd too, so he want to his ship and his men came with him. He fell asleep and awoke early in the morning. He woke his men and started towards the bar, grinning as he walked.
He got to the bar and sat at his seat. The bar was also an eating establishment, so he had breakfast. He waited for Scrap and Rose to come. The came about an hour after he got there. "So, can you take us to the town?" Scrap asked. "Why, of course. We can leave tonight. About the cost. It will cost you 150 coins for the ride." Kuup said. Scrap nodded. "We can pay you when we get there." Scrap said. He was not going to pay him. Scrap wasn't stupid and decided to make a run for it once the hit land. So, that night, Scrap and Rose went to the dock. They stepped on the boat and sat down in the cabin under deck. It was a cold night, and Scrap held Rose tightly.

I've been thinking. Not alot of action has happened to my character. In the next chapter, I'll have some action. I'm doing the chapters in Microsoft Word now. So, It will be up soon. I got to finish editing it.

You know what's awesome? The 3 of us are the only ones that ever reply to this thread. I like how there is not as much going on, just a few people. Its kinda a bummer though, cause not that many people get to read this awesome fanfic.

I'm in a hurry, and I got a new idea for the chapter, so I split it into two. I'll Post the next part later.

Chapter 9: Set Sail to the Unknown (Pt. 1)

Scrap walked up to the deck. Rose was still asleep, down stair, in the cabin. The captian and them had been sailing for 2 days now. "When are we going to get to the town?" Scrap asked quietly. "W'ell get there in about, 3 days." The captian replied. "3 days! that long!? We need to get there sooner the that!" The captian listened to Scrap yell, then he coulden't take it any more. He nodded, and his men came and grabed Scrap on his arms. Scrap yelled. He wasn't strong enough to break free. "Aarrgg!" He screamed. He saw a sword on the floor. He was wondering why it was there, but he broke free from the sailor's strong grips and grabbed it anyway. He held it up and pointed it at the sailors. "Don't move." He said. The captian pulled out his sword and held it up. The looked into each others eyes. They ran towards each other and yelled. A fight was going to begin.

Scrap ran and saw the grin on the captians face. "Time to die!" He screamed as he jumped and charged at Scrap. There swords met and made a spark. Scrap thought quickly and kicked the captian's leg. "AAAHHHH!" The captian screamed. Kuup fell and kept yelling for his men's help. Scrap was too fast, though. He slashed one sailor and stabbed the other. Soon, he was done with all the sailors. By the time he turned, the captian got up and was charging at Scrap, sword ready. Kuup slashed Scrap in the chest. Kuup lauged, and Scrap saw an opening. He swung his sword at the right side of the captian's neck. The captian was not stupid, and so he quickly ducked nad swung his sword. All he hit was air, because Scrap was now behind him. Scrap raised his sword and stabbed down at the captians neck. Scrap heard a rip, then blood hitting the deck. He closed his eyes and lifted his sword up. Captian Kuup's body hit the wooden deck with a thump.
As Scrap would have guessed, all the noise would have woken Rose up. "Don't look." He said as he heard he footsteps coming up from the cabin. Scrap heard a snicker, then a laugh. He got his sword ready. Scrap saw three sailors holding Roses slumped body up. He saw her eyes, and she looked tierd. Her eyes closed, and she fell on the floor. "She's not dead." The sailors said. "She's been poisened and she will die, in 24 hours. Only we have the antidote, in a safe, in the captian's cabin. Too bad you won't live to see her die." The sailor ran toward Scrap and Scraped screamed. He cut off the first sailor's head and slashed one of the others. He grabbed the last one and held him against the wall.
"What's the combonation!" He yelled. "Okay...Okay.. It's 54, 56, 88." The sailor stammered. "Are there any more sailors on the ship?" Scrap asked. "Yes. Two more." The sailor said. He then killed the sailor and and went to pick up Rose. He looked for the captian's cabin. He found it, and no sailors. He opend the door and looked around. No safe. He checked under the bed and found it. He put in the combonation and the door to the safe flung open.

No, we would NEVER lose interest in this great old story!
