Salamander 09-21-2005 07:41 PM

Silver opened his eyes. 'Were am i?' he thought, he was hanging upside down tied to a thick branch of a tree.
"HELP" Silver yelled at the top of his voice. If he was unlucky those sligs would have followed him, or worse, captured him. 'I need to get back to the village, and fast' he thought, something was around here some where, and if he didn't escape, he might not live to see another day.
Silver struggled as hard as he could.
OOC: um i have to got off the internet, ill finish this post later

T-nex 09-22-2005 08:42 AM

Niamae sighed heavily, while looking down.

"No I'm not some spirit-mudokon. But i wanna know what you're doing out here in our forest. Are you working for that facility not too far away?" Niamae asked.

While he waited for an answer, he pondered wether he wanted to help him or just leave him down there. Or maybe end the Slig's pains with the slingshot. He rolled his eyes. Somehow he felt pity for the slig. He thought it would be a pathetic way of dying, even for a slig, and he didn't know yet whose side he was on.

"Maybe you should try getting off those pants, and then i'll get a liana, i can pull you up with," he then suggested.

dripik 09-22-2005 09:01 AM

OOC: I'll join in then...

------------------------

Berdon's eyes were closed. The first thing he realised that he was lying on the ground. He heard the leaves rustling around him, and he felt the wind blowing. "Must be morning..." he thought. Then, a sudden flash of yellow light forced his eyes open. He sat up and looked for the source of the light. He spotted it high in the air - it was a Mudokon signal. Then he remembered... Gunshots... Screams... The burning village... The butt end of a Slig rifle. That was the last thing he could remember. The Slig smacked him in the head, and he fell to the ground.

He looked around, searching for his tomahawk. It was a few meters away from him. He got up, stepped to it and picked it up. "Must be more careful next time..." he thought as he touched the bruise on his head. Then he ran into the forest, towards the flash of light.

Munch's Master 09-22-2005 10:30 AM

Laskar couldn't find where Cheddar's hut was, as half the village was gone, and couldn't find any survivors anywhere. He was worried that Cheddar might have been killed, and began to start moving away from what had been the village, looking for him in the forest. He saw a distant flash, like a flare, and hoped that that was where some of the survivors were. He readied his gun in case it was a trick by the factory workers, and hurried in the direction of the light.

Hadda reached the river, and began towash his face, trying to wash away the horrible memories of last night as well.
While at the riverbed, he heard a distant yell of
"HELLO?! CAN SOMEONE HELP ME!?", that seemed to come from deep within the forest.
Not sure whether to think it was an industrial slig or villager survivor, he yelled himself at the top of his voice
"WHAT ARE YOU? INDUSTRIAL OR NATIVE?!" And then ducked down into the stream, his head barely above the water, in case it was one of the factory sligs trying to bait him in.
He clutched his spear in fear.

ooc: Dark Elite, is Sly an industrial Slig or rebel Slig, the bio kind of confused me.

Splat 09-22-2005 11:31 AM

ooc: Sorry about that, Dripik, of course you can join. And for all who've felt the need to know, the factory is creatively titled: "Ghermin's Vermin Learnin" and it's an animal testing lab, so you can probably guess what goes on there.
And I'm gonna take a leaf out of Havoc's book for format. The general way is starting to annoy me.
Lastly, as a suggestion Havoc, maybe other members of Mento's squad were killed. Just an idea. Anyway...

IC: Albert peered suspiciously out through the tribe. He could hear something. "Hey Cheddar, I think i hear voices. And I thought i heard an animal nearby eariler."
Cheddar Longwing looked up from whatever he was doing in the corner. "Voices of what? Mudokon, slig?"
"I'm not really sure. Maybe I should go check it out?"
Cheddar considered this for a few seconds. "Ok, but keep your eyes open, it could be trouble. If its one of the tribe, bring him here. They might not be able to find us, though if it's a slig that's probably a good thing."
Albert nodded and crawled out of the hollow.

He got up slowly, stretching his muscles. He slung his bow over his shoulder and pulled a knife out of the belt from his loincloth. If he was going to run into trouble he doubted he'd have a chane to fit an arrow and raise his bow before trouble noticed him.
He was confident Cheddar could take care of himself. He was a great shaman, after all.

Albert stalked slowly through the trees, wishing it was a little louder to hide the noise he was making. Staying close to the tree he looked out and saw a mudokon he didn't recognise (Niamae), standing in front of a pit and apparently talking to a person who was inside. He was a little surprised to see a person he didn't really recognise, so instead he stayed hidden in the trees and listened to what they were saying.

Dark Elite_H2 09-22-2005 12:15 PM

ooc: Sly's kinda both industrial and rebel. He hates teh industry, but works for it for a living. Kinda like us, how some people hate school, but yet, we have ter put up with it ;)

IC: Sly snapped his head towards the echoing yell he heard over the calm rushing waters of the river. He moved slightly towards it, then stopped. He could recognize such a voice, the voice of something he used to torcher, and he absolutely hated torchery. Then the question came out clearer, and Sly had difficulty to what to answer.
"I ain't gonna kill you! Just please! Help me, or my Slog'll die!" Sly nearly cried, running towards the river. He nearly stumbled over unrooted tree roots, but he skidded to a stop at the soft dirt near the river. The waters sparkled under the rising dawn sun, a purple-orange color. Reeds and cattails grew in the water, under the bedded rocks. Sly frantically searched around, then seeing a top of a rounded green head. He knew it was the voice that had called out.
"Hey! You!" he shouted at the head peeking over a few reed grasses. "Please! I don't care who or what you are! Help me with my friend here, or he'll die!" Sly finally broke down on to his knees sobbing loudly. Tears ran down his slightly torn black mask, his red-yellow eyes shining from the wetness. He pleaded once more, watching the thing rise out of the reeds.

Havoc 09-22-2005 02:41 PM

OOC: That's in fact a idea, Splat. For the sence of irony. Yea, the rest of the squad is killed XD.

---

Mento looked up, seemingly anoyed as Bass greeted him. Nick also looked over to the new guy. But when Veldrac noticed he wasn't paying attention to what he was supposed to, he was emidiatly corrected.

'I didn't give you permission to look this way, Nick!'

Nick quikely went back to looked over the plains and staring at the thunder clouds a few miles away from them. Mento, meanwhile, inspected this new slig. A new addition to the squad maybe? Wouldn't hurt in any case after the slaughter party a few days ago. He lost 6 good men back there.

'Well... who do we have here?' he mumbled. 'State your name and rank, soldier.'

Nick had an unhearable chuckle to himself.

'What a rookie... Veldrac is gonna level him out with the soil for sure...'

He had a quike look over his shoulder to make sure he didn't hear that. When he confirmed that, he went back to his thoughts.
Maybe this new guy would make Veldrac stop picking on him.
He had a closer look at the clouds. They were getting realy close realy fast.

'Sir!' Nick called. 'We have rain on 10 o clock! Possible thunder as well.'

'Your point! You are not telling me you're afraid of a little rain are you? Whimp...'

'No sir! I'm more afraid for our tents and equipment! They are not likely to survive a heave thunder storm, sir!'

Mento had a thought. The damn kid might even have a point there. First things first tho. He turned back to Bass.

'I asked you a question soldier!'

LoboDiabloLoneWolf 09-23-2005 12:21 AM

Slugger rolled his eyes.

"If I could get out of these pants, don't you think I would have done it already?" he said grumpily, "I think some of the mechanics have been crushed and it's pinned me in..." There was a short pause, "And no, I'm not working for a facility, I just busted out of a squad and I don't intend on going back. I'm lower then you Mud, I shot a commanding officer. So if I'm seen by another Slig, I'll be shot on sight."

Slugger took a breath and let out a deep sigh;

"If you not going to help me, then please just end it...I'm sick of everything...Just do me a favour, if you see a runty Slog that answers to Jaws, don't kill him..." Slugger chuckled, "He always like Mudokons..." Slugger twitched painfully and groaned. "But do it quick." he muttered.

Gretin 09-23-2005 02:53 AM

OOC: Ok, here I go:

IC:

Abhay was swiftly making his way back to the village; he had been away on a scouting mission (which had been fruitless) for what seemed like weeks, even though he knew he had only been away for two days. He was a little worried about what his superiors would have to say when he informed them of the lack of success he'd had in his mission, but he was more worried about just getting home.
Then, suddenly, he saw a flash of yellow light rise up into the air in the distance. He stopped momentarily, his mind racing. Whatever it was, he knew it was trouble, and he decided he had better investigate it.
He broke into a run, carefully avoiding anything on the ground that would make his footsteps louder, and keeping behind cover as much as possible; he was used to this sort of thing.
He was getting closer, when he suddenly heard voices not far away. He instantly dropped to the ground, then listening for them, he started crawling stealthily along the ground towards them, but making sure he wouldn't be seen. He came up to a bank, and cautiously peeped over the top of it.
'I asked you a question soldier!'
Abhay quickly dropped back down behind the bank. Industrials! He had only seen three of them there, but who knew how many else were hidden. He started moving away, hoping the look-out slig hadn't noticed him...

T-nex 09-23-2005 03:36 AM

Niamae rolled his eyes. this was just too pathetic. But for some reason, he chose to believe what this slig told him. He thought that the Slig was too stupid to lie.

"Just relax, i'm gonna try and help you up somehow." He said, and tried to think of something.

He looked around. Maybe he could pull him up with some of the lianas, but he didn't know if the slig was too heavy.

"Are you sure, I can't pull you up with something? I'm not sure if you weight too much though." He then asked the Slig.

-----

"I'm Nr. 182, but people call me bass. I'm a BigBro as you can see. Just out 'ere killing some muds and stuff." He said, and looked a bit at nick.

"whimp..." he thought to himself, and grinned a bit.

"Yo! WHat about getting out, and do something, instead of just looking around? I saw some Muds to the south-" He said, but then stopped.

He thought he had seen something with the corner of his eyes. He looked around, and decided it was nothing.

Seargentbig 09-23-2005 06:05 AM

(Ooc: This looks good so far. Hopefully it won't get too quick - RPGs, I feel, are ruined when two people post two pages in the matter of two minutes. I might join, but I'll wait first. Given my history with RPGs, I might give it up in a week.
It may be easier to ignore the spooce bushes, and take this as info on sprooce - "a sort of spiritual currency earned by channeling energies from living creatures". It is a force, heh, contained in mudokons which let them interact with the world in different ways. It takes many of them to do something usefull with it, like change the weather, and only at culturally significant places like storm circles, but a single one can do things with it, such as fire spoocebows. Shamans, who are trained or lerned, would be better at it than the average mudokon, but acoording to the games only Abe has the extrordanary ammount needed to possess creatures. Theoretically it will drain, but meditating should gain some more. This infomation is only gleaned, so in no way take it as gospel. Just thought I'd try to clear it up.)

LoboDiabloLoneWolf 09-23-2005 07:08 AM

Slugger wondered if the Mudokon had fallen for his ‘I’m so pathetic, how could I be lying’ ruse. Sure he wasn’t lying exactly, just stretching the truth a little, and playing stupid and pathetic hopefully would get him some sympathy and the Mudokon would get him out.

Maybe he could find Jaws and finally get away from this place. He tried moving again. He winced, expecting pain, but all he felt was a dull pounding ache. He tried to move his legs. With a harsh screech of metal on metal Slugger bent his biochemical legs and holding onto a trailing root sticking out of the pit wall, he pulled himself to his feet. One of the legs on the metal pants whined and issued a thread of smoke. The Slig looked up at the masked Mudokon above him.

“There should be a Slig field kit around there somewhere, it’s got a cord and winch among other things, secure that round a tree and throw down the loose end and I’ll get myself out.” The was a silence. Slugger wondered if the Mudokon would find his rifle…

Splat 09-23-2005 07:12 AM

Albert had come to the conclusion that there was a slig in the pit that had announced it hated industrials and the mudokon was trying to help him.
Albert, deciding he should do something, stood up out of his hiding place and called out of to the mudokon: "Hey, what are you doing here? And how do you know yuo can trust the slig?"
Oh boy, Cheddar was gonna crush him if he started trouble.

T-nex 09-23-2005 07:39 AM

He turned around emmidiatly, when he heard Albert speak. He felt both annoyance and relief. He was happy that some people from the tribe had survived, but he didn't like interuptions.

"Well i can't trust that slig, but he's helpless, and it's dishonouring to kill a defenceless opponent. I was gonna take him as a hostage anyways, untill i decided what to do with him, but look out for a Slog, that is his. I'm sure if it's gonna attack or anything." He said, while looking for the Kit that the Slig had told him about, "Also, could you please see if there's a rifle around here?"

He suddenly spotted the kit, and ran over to it, took out the cord and the winch. Then he tied it to a tree, and then ran back to the pit.

LoboDiabloLoneWolf 09-23-2005 08:23 AM

Slugger suppressed a groan. Not another one. One Mudokon, Slugger could handle but two against one was another matter, and he wasn’t too keen on shooting someone who had just helped him out of a sticky spot.

Still he felt a flicker of annoyance; helpless? Helpless!? Slugger scowled,

“Jumped up Mud…I’ll show him helpless…” his irritated monologue was cut short when the Mudokon spoke to the newcomer.

"Also, could you please see if there's a rifle around here?"

“Damn…” If they got hold of his rifle then Slugger was a hostage and pretty much screwed. Slugger sighed as well, was the masked Mudokon completely daft, he’d already explained about Jaws… “The Slog is harmless.” He called up, “He’d prefer a stomach rub over violence any day…actually…he is a bit of a freak…” Slugger mused. Hopefully this new Mudokon would actually believe him and ask questions first instead of just shooting Jaws on sight.

dripik 09-23-2005 08:35 AM

Berdon slowed down at the edge of the forest. He stopped behind a tree to catch his breath, and he looked at the clearing and the village itself next to the forest. He saw no Industrials there, only the Mudokon cottages. Some of them were still smoking, and others were demolished.

"Seems quiet... I better go and have a look." he thought.

He held his tomahawk in an steady position in front of him and sneaked out from the forest. He was heading to a hollow next to the village - it was the usual hideout for the tribe in case of trouble. The rising sun's rays were falling on the hollow's entrance and he saw a shining moth on a staff. "Cheddar..." he thought. "I should have guessed when I saw that signal. Good thing he survived." He walked to the entrance.

"Pleasant morning to you, Cheddar. Mine hasn't been like that yet." he added.

Splat 09-23-2005 08:58 AM

Cheddar looked up in surprise, mentally smacking himself for not seeing Berdon aproaching. But then, at least it wasn't a slig. Cheddar smiled. "Good to see you survived the night, i was beggining to think we were the only ones left somehow - that's me and Albert, I ran into him yesterday afternoon and we kept each other protected... How did you fare?"

Albert looked at the mudokon suspiciously, and then walked over to the edge of the pit and looked down to see a slig lying on his back, looking rather stupid. "How did you end up in there, someone poke your eyes out?"
After watching sligs shoot his captain into the second life only the day before, Albert was feeling less than tolerant.

T-nex 09-23-2005 10:17 AM

Niamae rolled his eyes, and threw the cord down.

"Now get up, and don't do any funyy tricks." Niamae said coldly.

MAybe this slig WAS too dumb. He was getting impatient, and wanted to get rid by it as soon as possible. But then a problem came to his mind, he couldn't just let him go, maybe he WAS working for the factory nearby. He didn't want to drag the Slig with him either.
He sighed, and felt very annoyed. Then he turned to the other Mud.

"Seen Cheddar around?" he asked.

LoboDiabloLoneWolf 09-23-2005 10:51 AM

Slugger, well aware that he looked completely ridiculous, scowled irritably. He decided that Muds were stupid and with a crushed biochemical leg and lost Slog, he wasn’t in the mood for idiots right now.

“No, someone did not poke my eyes out. My idiot of a Slog decided he wanted to investigate a yellow flare and led me smack bang into this pit. Granted I shouldn’t have followed the little fleabag but options are kind of limited when you’re wanted for gunning down your own superior.”

He tested the rope and hauled himself out of the pit. Slugger retrieved the Slig field pack and after rummaging around in it he brought out a screwdriver and a mallet. Accompanied by Slig-ish oaths of static and mechanical screeches Slugger proceeded to batter his crumpled leg into shape, very grateful that the metal was pretty durable.

Finally he managed to bang it into workable shape and after rotating it a few times packed up the screwdriver, mallet and cord-winch into the field pack and turned to the Mudokons,

“So,” he said, sarcastically cheerful, “Where are we going?”

dripik 09-23-2005 11:09 AM

Berdon leant on his tomahawk.

Berdon: "Well, when I heard the first gunshots last night, I ran out of my cottage and went for the Sligs. They went for the unarmed villagers first." He cast a loathing look on the hollow's wall. "Animals... I smacked a few on the head. Later, they broke formation and ran for the escaping villagers. I ran after these Sligs into the forest, the fight continued on its other side. Then one of them hit me and I was out cold." He stopped for a few seconds, then continued. "I woke up today, saw your signal and came here."

He looked around in the hollow. "Where's Albert?"

LoboDiabloLoneWolf 09-23-2005 11:35 AM

Jaws whined and wiggled his legs pathetically.

Hello!? he barked, Some help would be nice! Of course anyone who did hear the runty Slog's yammerings probably didn't understand him in the first place. Besides, who would help a Slog? Jaws could still feel the stick thing prodding his stomach but he'd gathered by now that it wasn't intelligent and wouldn't hurt him.

After a while the small Slog managed to roll over, he got to his feet and shook himself, then turned, fixing his almost none existant eyes on the thing that had been prodding him.

He let loose a terrified yowl that shook the leaves on the tress and echoed all through the deserted hollow he was in. The Slog crouched, shaking and backing away, growling fearfully. He'd heard of this. Some Sligs did it as trophies, or warnings.

The dead village Mudokons seemed to stare down at him with accusing glassy eyes from where they were strung up on trees and bits of metal.

Jaws turned and fled.

OOC: Did anyone see stuff like that in one of the Abe games, can't remember if it's in Oddysee or Exoddus, but when you're in a stockyard/barracks setting, you can see Mudokons on like metal crucifixes. I'm not kidding, look for 'em. It's really creepy actually...

Munch's Master 09-23-2005 12:29 PM

Hadda poked his head out of the reeds, and saw a Slig, CRYING?!
'I've never known a Slig cry before, so I bet he's genuine.' Hadda thought
He got up, and went over to the sobbbing Sly
"I'm no medic, but I'll do what I can to help. Lead the way." Hadda smiled down at him, clutching his spear tightly still though, in case it was a trick.
ooc: Dark Elite, If you don't want them to talk as they head to the slog, you can just control Hadda for his movement.
~~~~~~~~
Laskar tore on through the undergrowth, he was going quickly because he didn't want to risk whoever set off the flare moving on.
He heard someone else running, on the same course, but a distance away from him. Not knowing who it was, he slowed for a moment until he heard their footsteps fade away, then hurried on.
He crashed through some undergrowth, leaping a creeper, and skidded to a halt behind a tree. He could see Cheddar down near a hollow, talking to Berdon, who he must have heard running through the forest near him. He daren't go straight into the open in case Berdon or Cheddar attacked him before recognizing him, so he just called from behind the tree.
"Cheddar, this is Laskar. Is it safe for me to come into view?"
Dark Elite_H2 09-23-2005 01:19 PM
OOC: Actually, Munch, Sly has Slogann right now, if yeh didn't notice ;)
IC: He saw the Mudokon walk out to the riverside, holding up a spear with a smile on its face. Sly began to regain back on his mechanical feet, holding Slogann closely to him. He looked up and down of the Mudokon, feeling that it was no big threat. He showed off the wounded slog to the Mudokon, its eyes widening in horror.
"Please help me. I don't know what to do. I know most of you...Mudokons are medics. Please, just lead me in any direction to the nearest medic, so I can save my friend," Sly sniveled, feeling another sob fest to come on in another second. Slogann let out a small whine. Sly looked back to the Mudokon, it still watching suspiciously at him. "I promise. I won't kill you. I'll even put down my rifle if I have to," Sly clipped off his sling to his Blitz packer, it thudding to the ground. He heard some scurrying behind him, and spun around. A flash of red fur passed through the trees. The thing could run like the devil. Slogann began to ramble around a little, moving his head up to where the creature had ran.
"It's a Slog," Slogann said with a little more life. He began to bark, weakly but loudly at the creature, hoping for the thing to stop and communicate.
LoboDiabloLoneWolf 09-23-2005 01:33 PM
Jaws skidded to a halt and cocked his head to one side, listening. That was another Slog he could hear.
Warily Jaws padded towards the sounds until he finally came upon another Slig, holding what looked like some kind of mutated Slog and a Mudokon. Jaws cocked his head to one side again. But he gave a Slog-ish sigh of relief,
I thought I was alone. I need some help, my Slig master’s stuck in a pit and he’s in trouble because he shot his superior officer and- Jaws stopped his outburst as his small Slog brain processed that the other, considerably bigger Slog was hurt and the Slig looked like it had been bawling, and the Mudokon wasn’t trying to kill either of them. What are you lot doing here? He asked slowly.
Dark Elite_H2 09-23-2005 01:40 PM
"My master's tryin' to get some help for me. As you can see, I'm in poor condition right now..." Slogann spoke. Sly looked down to him wildly.
"Who the hell you talkin' to, Slogann?" Sly asked, turning around to the other Slog behind him. Sly's eyes thinned down, squinting at the Slog. "Well, hello there, lil' fellah," Sly cooed the Slog. "His master's in trouble...He needs help," Slogann replied. Sly looked down to Slogann. "Not in yer condition, you won't," Sly scolded.
"Sorry...My master's a little worry-wart. If you would come with us, and I'll get myself fixed up, and we'll help you find your master. How 'bout that?" Slogann spoke, coughing slightly. "What if I go with the Slog while you go get fixed up?" Sly asked, but Slogann denied. "You can't communicate with a regular Slog, Sly. Remember? Yer not a Slog," Slogann smirked. Sly rolled his eyes, muttering, " well it was an idea..." Slogann looked back to the Slog in some concern. "Don't worry. We'll get you back to yer master in no time," Slogann reassured.
Splat 09-24-2005 03:37 AM
Albert hesitated for a second, but if the mudokon knew who Cheddar was he obivously wasn't an industrial, he had to know something about the tribe, even if he hardly visited it.
Albert: "Yeah, Cheddar was probably the person most likely to survive the attack last night, we got out of there together. We stayed the night in a shelter we pulled together and slept there for the night. He's not far away, but he might not want to leave in case anyone else turns up."
Noticing the slig had climbed out of the pit, he slung his knife back in his belt and grabbed his bow, fitted an arrow and pointed it at the slig.
Albert: "YOU are going nowhere at the moment, slig." He turned back to Niamae. "If you walk down there," He motioned the bushes where he'd emerged from, "You should find Cheddar pretty wuickly. We've been hoping to find some survivors from yesterday." He gave the slig a murderous look.
Cheddar turned round quivkly. "Laskar? Of course its safe, unless you have a platoon of sligs on your heals. Do you think we'd be having a conversation in broad daylight if it wasn't?" He turned back to Berdor, "He thought he heard some voices so he went to see what was going on. He hasn't been gone long. Did you see any sign of anyone else? Alive or dead."
LoboDiabloLoneWolf 09-24-2005 03:59 AM
Slugger returned the glare the bow-totting Mudokon was sending his way.
"Don't give me that look, the only thing I shot yesterday was a couple of Slig grunts and my superior. Wouldn't waste my ammo on Muds." he added scornfully. Slugger slung the field pack over his shoulders, and saw the butt of his semi-automatic rifle poking out from under a shrub.
"That'll even the odds..." he thought.
Throwing caution to the winds Slugger dived for the gun and managed to close his fingers around it. He swung round and hefted the gun up.
"But I'll make exceptions." he said, cocking the rifle.
Havoc 09-24-2005 04:08 AM
Nick almost cracked up when he heard the bigbro yap on and on. Obviously not had any kind of military dicipline. He wonderd what a bigbro was doing without training, you didn't see that to often.
'I only asked for your name and rank,' Mento remarked angry. 'If I want to hear your life story, I'l ask for it! Do I make myself clear?!'
Very clear, in Nick's opnion. Even tho it was pretty funny to see a small slig like Veldrac take on a bigbro. Then again, he did outrank him, so it was probably no big deal.
Without giving Bass a chance to reply, Mento marched tordwards Nick.
'How bad are those clouds?' he asked firm.
'I'd say...' Nick mumbled and had another look at them. 'Heavy rain, storm, maybe thunder. At least a night long.'
Mento gave a confirming nod.
'Alright...' he said while thinking. 'Alright... start wrapping things up here. We're moving out.'
Nick pulled a confused face and stared over the plains. Not a single sign of life in a 2 mile radius, except those muds.
'Sir?'
'Do it, Nick!'
'Yes, sir!'
He got up on his feet and started taking down the first tent. Mento meanwhile headed to his tent and gave Bass a look as he walked past.
'Are you just going to stand there? Go help him!'
T-nex 09-24-2005 04:26 AM
Bass raised an eyebrow, and then let a small laughter out. Who did he think he was? Some slig with alot of medals. But Bass knew that the factory needed a strong slig. Then he went to help Nick.
He thought this was waste of time, and that the Muds were probably makiong some big plan about how to kill the Sligs.
"So, are ya gonna shoot some sligs, or just stand here and do nothin'?" He asked impatiently.
----
Niamae was about to walk away, untill he saw with the back of his eyes, that the Slig has gotten hold of his rifle. He instinctly held his Slongshot ready, with his most torn-like ammunition in it.
"Don't you dare doing that Slig! I know exactly where where to hit, to make you die instantly, so don't try any funny tricks." He said, and was aiming for the neck.
Splat 09-24-2005 04:26 AM
Albert released an arrow from his bow the moment the slig moved, but missed. Cursing silently, he grabbed another arrow from his quivver, strung it on his bow and raised it in time to see it pointing down the slig's gun barrel.
Albert wasn't sure how fast the sligs reaciotns were, but he wasn't going to risk it if he didn't need to. "Well done slig, if you were looking for mercy you're really going about asking all the wrong way. Dunno what Cheddar will think if he sees this scene."
Slugger let out a laugh that sounded like a blast of static.
"Mercy!?" he snickered, "I don't call having my metal butt being dragged around by a couple of Muds, mercy. And my name's not 'Slig', it's Slugger. Now, we seem to be in a bit of a stalemate, I don't want to shoot you, but I will if you give me no other options. You Muds on the other hand have every reason to do me in. And I wouldn't blame you after what happened yesterday. But I'm on the run as well, so we could just stand here, or just kill each other like Scrabs, or we can work together." Slugger lowered his gun,
"I can't believe I'm doing this...Slugger old boy, you're getting sentimental..." and then put it into his holster.
"Everyone has the right to be in charge of their own fates, including me." he said.
Albert, being no less suspicious of the slig for this display of trust, kept his bow raised, ready for a trick. "Work together? We don't really need any help, we were ok before you came along, how do you think you can help us? I have a friend nearby who's a good judge of character, so if you drop your gun we can go see him, and he can decide whether we let you go or not. On the other hand, we can stay here until one of us gets itchy-fingered."
Slugger shook his head,
"Couldn't agree to that, but what about a compromise." Slugger pulled out his gun, keeping the barrel down, after a bit of fiddling, the Slig unclipped the bullet chamber from the gun and then dismanteled the enitre rifle into three pieces before putting them back in the holster. He tossed the bullet pack to the Mudokon.
"You keep hold of this if it'll make you feel better." there was a pause, "And I've told you my name, what do I call you two by? I didn't like been called 'Slig', I doubt you like being called 'Mud'."
Munch's Master 09-25-2005 04:43 AM
Hadda looked from the new Slog, to Sly, to Sly's weird Slog.
"Well, how about we follow this new Slog tohis master, then we try and find my tribe's boss. his name's Cheddar, and he's a shaman, so he can probably heal your Slog Sly. But, if this new Slog's master is stuck in a pit, there might be industrials around trying to bait us in. I still reckon we should follow it."
He shrugged unsurely and looked between the three others again.
~~~~~~~

Laskar crept out from behind the tree.
"Nah, I ain't seen any factory Sligs anywhere. I in't even seen any other living things, apart from you two."
He listened to what Cheddar said to Berdon and then asked
"Who heard voices? And where from?"

Jaws wagged his stumpy tail in agreement and nodded his head vigorously.

That'll work. he said cheerfully, I like him. he gushed, meaning the Mudokon, My name's Jaws, who are all you? Jaws felt better now, these were nice beings, he was sure of it. If they wanted to help they couldn't be bad right? Jaws just hoped that Slugger wouldn't panic and go trigger happy...Jaws let out an inward sigh. Slugger could be so paranoid...

So you follow me and I'll take you to the pit yes? he asked, looking hopefully, still wagging his short, Slog tail.

Cheddar: "I'm not sure I was meditating when he said and he left before I was fully aware. I didn't hear anything myself, except the silence. It's been unusually quiet... There's a storm brewing as well..." Cheddar was beggining to disappear into thw rold of his own thoughts - or that was how he liked to put it. "I'm beggining to think that I'm the only member of our tribe's council to have survived the attack yesterday."

ooc: "I'm gonna give T-nex a chance to say something before I continue with Albert, sorry LoboDiablo

Nick just went hard at work, ignoring anything the other slig at to say. He knew how much Mento hated people talking on the job, unless a question was asked. If this bigbro wanted to be the big bad guy, he could go right ahead, he would face Mento's real anger soon enough if he kept this up.
Soon Nick felt the first drops of rain on his back, and he started to hussle getting the tents wrapped up.
One down, three to go. And it would go a lot faster if this guy would actualy help.

Slogann nodded to Jaws.
"Sure thing. We'll get to that right now," Slogann said. Sly looked at Slogann curiously.

"What he say?" Sly asked. "He said he'll lead us to his master, down in a pit," Slogann replied, but Sly's eyes tinted a little. "What did I just say? We're not doin' anything until yer better!" Sly said firmly. Slogann frowned.

"I appreciate your concern, Sly. But wouldn't you want to help a helpless Slog? I would," Slogann said, then jumped out of Sly's arms. "Besides, I'm feeling a ton-lot better," Slogann smiled slightly, walking by Jaws, but tripped down from his hurt leg. Sly put his fists to his sides.

"Yeah...right..." Sly said sarcastically, rolling his eyes, then turned to the Mudokon. "Before we go anywhere, I want to know who YOU are. If I don't know you then why trust you?" Sly pointed to the Mudokon. Slogann rolled his eyes. "He always does such a thing to new people..." he whispered to Jaws.

ooc: Dark Elite, you posts can be a little hard to read. If you spaced them out, start a new paragraph when the speaker changes, it'd be good. At the moment it can be rather confusing when your characters are talking to each other.
