Yeah, and Dino can bring the tree. Get it?

I'll bring the tree...

No I don't get it. What's the joke?

:

Buffalo, New York. Home of the buffalo wing, don'tcha know.

Buffalo, yeah that's a nice place. New York state is one of the nicest things about the USA in general really. What with Ithaca, Buffalo, NYC, and some of my other favourite places. And you've got the fact that it's easy to just escape to Canada for a week or more if you're getting fed up with America.

You'll have to excuse my lack of knowledge when it comes to not realising what "buffalo wing" means though... or perhaps being aware that winged buffalo exist?

Heh, just noticed the Pak'N'Save. :D

Oh man, that's so cool! You're right by the water and mountains! That's looks really cool. *Has flashbacks to the the making of Lord of the Rings* I gotta visit New Zealand. :D

Indeed. It can be a very nice city. Good arts community and stuff.
It's a terribly segregated city, unfortunately. Sometimes it's even cut up by blocks. One asian, one black, one Hispanic, all consecutively. Then the whites have two entire sides of the city. It's pretty bad. And I have about 15 black kids at my school. Out of 800. It's a shame.

:

Yeah, man. The buffalos could FLY, man!

:p

It must be an America only thing. Do you know what a chicken wing is? It's basically a deep-fried chicken leg or wing (Duh) with some kind of sauce on it. A buffalo wing (which was invented at a restaurant in Buffalo called the Anchor Bar) was a chicken wing dipped in hot sauce, and it became incredibly popular. So, yeah. That's what my town has to offer. I prefer BBQ chicken wings, but meh.

Oh, and Ithaca's a total stoner colony. I might go there for college. :p

Dino 07-12-2005 06:43 PM

Why the heck else do you think I like Ithaca? Because it has nice views?

And you still haven't told me what the tree joke is. If you don't tell me what that means, then I shall have to hate you up the ass. \o/

The visual is so simple, yet so disgusting. :p

Tree = Slang for weed. Get it? You'd better. It's hysterical.

I wouldn't say it was slang. By tree, you mean the MJ plant. :p

Ahhh, yes. Of course.

Ahem... so what does your house look like?!?!

Rich 07-13-2005 07:11 AM

:

Ahem... so what does your house look like?!?!

It's made of bricks and has a slate roof. :p
There is no second floor above the kitchen/ dining room so there is a flat roof outside my window.

Kimon 07-24-2005 11:52 AM

Hmmm.... I was just going to take some more pictures of my house, but I have dicovered that my digital camera is somehow broken. Which sucks.

Anyway, try to imagine this, as it was the picture I was planning on taking: A very large (for the city) backyard, about 50 yards long and 20 wide. It's all parched and yellow, but there's a huge pumpkin patch growing in our little garden. It's also insanely hot out.

Yup. So I'll try to fix my camera and take some more pix.

AquaticAmbi 07-24-2005 12:26 PM

I took a few pictures of the naturey stuff in my yard. Enjoy. (Kind of big, sorry.)

Kimon 07-24-2005 12:29 PM

Sweet!

Those flowers are beautiful and the mushrooms look magically delicious. :D I wish I had woods behind my house.... I just have a zoo.

Dino 07-24-2005 01:19 PM

I didn't realise that anyone else actually referred to cannabis plants as "trees"... I thought I was one of the only few that did. :D

Well yes in that case, I'd certainly bring the tree. We could have a tree convention, in which we have a tree bonfire.

used:) 07-24-2005 01:36 PM

Your land is amazing. It would be so sweet to live there.

AquaticAmbi 07-25-2005 09:02 AM

Yeah, like I said, lovely lot, but the house is el crapo, but probably the nicest house I've ever lived in. I forgot to mention how much I liked the colorfulness of your walls, Kimon.

I also forgot to say your view is beautiful, Super Munch. I used to live by a lake, surrounded by mountains... I miss the view, but not the smell. 'Twas a cow farm.

CheeseOfGlory 07-27-2005 07:38 AM

those shrooms look delicious...mmm

My house is pretty huge (3000+ sq ft) but everything is so open you can hear whats going on in the basement on the other side of the house and on the top floor (my house has...3 floors if you count the basement, it opens to the backyard)

Today's keyword is never!

Kimon 09-22-2005 04:01 PM

Mmm... revival. :p

Anyway, I got my digital camera working, and I'm also still interested to what other folks' houses' look like. So I figured I'd bring this sucker back.

Anyway, the tour of the downstairs starts in my TV Room. Then we take a right and see the fabulous Living Room. Also, more Living Room, along with some of my front yard and street (It's dark and rainy, so hard to see stuff). Anyway, then we take another right and see the Dining Room, which I almost never dine in. We then go through the Dining Room to the Breakfast Room and Kitchen. Finally, we arrive at My Dog.

Well, that's the tour of my immensely boring and old-fashioned house. I hope for both my entertainment's and this thread's sake that your houses are more interesting. :)

Alcar 09-22-2005 04:35 PM

I have a few. The first is just a general area near where I live.

The second is a purdy picture of my desk, and a little of the surrounding wonderfulness of my messy room.

Kimon 09-22-2005 04:44 PM

Wowzers. Sydney is vaguely remeniscent of Northern Califonia. Tre cool. :)

I wish I could see your other rooms, though. The one indoor picture that worked fascinates me. Cluttered, but very rustic looking. It kind of reminds me of Bilbo Baggins' house in the first LOTR film.

Sweet. :D

used:) 09-22-2005 04:54 PM

Don't be so hard on your house Kimon. Nothing brings the morning breakfast feeling than a good slice of old New Yorkian abode! :lick:

Alcar 09-22-2005 10:45 PM

Got new batteries for the camera!

This a shot of the stairs leading down to the second floor. I just like it because I like the banisters, and the fact that you can peer into the lounge room.

This a picture of the rumpus room, which is basically where I live while in the house.

This is a shot of the kitchen! Wow! Yay!

And this, ladies and gentlemen is part of my backyard. There's more around to the left and rear, but this is the best part.

Wow, Alcar... I love your house, it's so fantastic. ^_^

My town is on the coast [although I actually live a few miles away in the middle of good ol' English countryside]. This is an image from one of the bays [the south bay], as there's a northbay and a south bay.

My Town

This is halfway to the north bay, it's filled with cars, but if the photographer had gone down the road a bit more there's a huge beach stretching for miles.

The north bay

I'll take some photos of my house when the camera is charged.

Gotta love how all houses in Britian have pointy roofs :P
I live in a condo, in Bakersfield.
Its a bit spacious... pretty nice.
The entire downstairs is the garage (Only one room) and up the stairs goes straight into the kitchen/living room/stepdad's comp room
In the comp room is the door to the porch, and another door to the outside stairs/joint between our condo and the neighbor's.
BAH! school! I'll edit back later, sorry :(
Edit:
Back, Well, If you go straight from coming in the joint door, you go through a hall way were it something like this:
Parent_s room
My room | |Bathroom

Godlesswanderer 09-23-2005 08:02 AM

My house is just your average house really. The general area is pretty shitty, its prtty much a chav haven. So wherever I go, chavs usually outnumber me at least 20 to 1. Which is quite surprising really when I think about it. Mainly because the whole town (Debden) was built as a kind of replacement town for World War II evacuees that had lost their houses in the bombings. So, in theory, it should be mostly old people here... Ah well...

Lol, your ignorance shines through with the brilliance of a thousand suns as usual.

I believe the "archaic" architectural feature to which you're referring is known as the pitched roof. And it's not some kind of acient technology FYI, it's still a building standard all over the world, including the USA, where the shallow pitch is more common.

But please don't refer to our country like it's some kind of quaint historic artefact where there are all these strange and backward old fashioned features. It's called a superiority complex and it doesn't win you any points.

Now now, don't parade around like that. Saying that is like saying you're better than me, which you plainly aren't, and I'm not better than you. We each have different features and not one of us can be declared better.

I'll elaborate when I find my damn coffee.

And Dino, Just because I don't have "Rooftops 101" on my class schedule, Doesn't make me ignorant.

For the record, I plainly see a Gamecube but no N64.

Yeah, found that out too... It looked like an N64 when it was resized...

Alcar 09-24-2005 04:35 AM

I'm not console biased, so I buy whichever has the games I want. The GameCube was bought because of Zelda, and because I love Mario Party. YES. IT'S TRUE. It's a good game to play with friends who've had enough of Halo (yuck!) and want some fun. Xbox... well that's a no brainer. PlayStation 2: Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank.

Speaking of which, I finally got time today to complete Jak and Daxter 3! Huzzah! Now I just need the time to complete Ratchet and Clank 3!

Actually, it does. Not knowing about something is pretty much the defenition of ignorance.

Anyway, Metroixer, your house looks pretty awesome, and it reminds me of this rich buddy's house. 'Tis muy coolio.

Alcar, I love your abode. So secksay. :D

:

Don't be so hard on your house Kimon. Nothing brings the morning breakfast feeling than a good slice of old New Yorkian abode!

Aye, that's undeniable. But still, my house is rather crappily furnished and painted. It has much potential, but what my family and I have done to it is embarassing. :0

metroixer 09-24-2005 05:23 AM

I will get some piccies of my house very soon, the town is shit, but My own piece of land is pretty good. he problem is is that when we bought the place, we found out that there was a church that bnurnt down right on our backyard! Therefore the ground is crap for growing plants (bye bye weed business :crying:) but our small padio has a nice nature like feeling to it. I also like hanging out on my roof where I am hidden by this tree with huge leaves.

About the cube, just because they make a lot of kiddie games doesn't make uninnovative. They have crreated some of the most historic titles and series's. Resident Evil, the Mario games, and of course, the Zelda series.
