There are some less aggressive Cradle songs too, like A Dream of Wolves in the Snow. The variety in their songs are great.
I heard people refering Cradle of Filth as extreme metal, too. I'll look around for the exact. I can't recommend any Anthrax or Judas Priest album, though... |
Anthrax is great. They've released a lot of albums(almost 10) and they've had 3 vocalists but 2 are key. Belladonna and Bush.
For Belladonna 1.Among the Living 2. Persistence of Time 3. Spreading the Disease Bush Volume 8:The Threat is Real W.C.F.Y.A. Sound of the White Noise. For Priest check out Painkiller and Jugulator. |

Has anyone listened to any Napalm Death? They're great. :D Good, old fashioned, wholesome death metal.
Yeah, they're pretty damn good. Game Over, the Plague, and Out of Order are stupendous. Heavy, unapologetic thrash, just what the Dr. ordered.
Are they considered thrash metal or death metal?
Thrash. They predate the birth of Death metal by a few years, but it does sound like it from time to time.
Metal is okay, but i would rather listen to punk or alternitive.ROCK ON!
Please leave our thread.
The band I would like to introduce the forums to is http://www.metal-archives.com/images/37_logo.gif They are an absolutely brilliant prog metal band and my second favourite band ever. Good songs to help get into them are: Pull Me Under The Glass Prison Ytse Jam The Mirror Home As I Am These Walls |
:
I'm currently into Metallica, but that's about it so far. |
I seem to go through phases of different kinds of rock. My last phase was alternative rock with bits of acoustic rock splattered around. My current one is death metal with bits of old 80s rock splattered around.
I'm quite into Vex Red at the moment.
I'm into rammstein. industrial german band. they make some great songs. my favourite song is sonne.HIER KOMMT DIE SONNE!
Rammstein is lousy compared to german thrash bands like Coroner and Destruction, not to mention Sodom, Kreator, etc.
who? i only know rammstein, eisbrecher and megaherz as german metal. thanks for the adds!
Has anyone ever heard of a German band called 'Einstendurzen Neubauten' (probably butchered the spelling)?
I believe they're a combination of punk and metal, and my godfather is really big into them. Apparently they're supposed to be pretty good/well-known. |
