Yeah. Kinda go wit' yeh, Hex. More challenging as Stranger than Steef. And we all love challenging things, don't we folks?

I liked them both equally. Not quite sure it I like the Viking armor, though...or getting all my upgrades stripped from me.
EDIT: Thank you Dipstikk. |
I liked both parts of the game because you get all the moods and really cool scenery.

Hmm, it would be really weird if Steef could fit in Vykker armor... It would seemingly be a bit small, dont you think? lol. :D

I like the Stranger parts best. I can better identify with something that walks on two legs.....well...yeah i know he runs on four but STILL.
And the Steef's running style seems a bit awkward. Why would he need his forearms to help in the running process if he already has four legs? Not to mention it feels like a complete Identity change. I'm not playing Stranger anymore. I'm playing the Steef. And Stranger was already weird, but at the exact moment I feel myself growing close to the main character, He changes. It was like hitting my jaw and sending me into a wall. And yes I know the big reason why most of you may like the Steef part better than the Stranger part is because the plot goes into full motion from that point onward. But that dosen't matter because I've lost the character connection. |
I'd have to say I preferred the first half of the game. I love the initial mysteriousness of Stranger and not to mention I adore the outfit he wears. The game climaxed for me after finding out his true indentity, as it was something I'd been going half crazy trying to figure out the whole time I was playing. I didn't find the second half as compelling as the first, for that reason. Not that I didn't love the fact that he was a Steef, infact I really enjoyed the gameplay as a steef.
Regardless, Stranger is still my favorite Oddworld character so far. =) |
