Btw. Photo of your Chippunk will be my wallpaper :D

Leto 02-26-2005 11:00 PM

Pzak, I must fall down to my knees and worship you. If you mkae copies of ANY of these models, you can bet I'm saving to buy one of them. Chippunks are AWESOME! Model of chippunks are even BETTER! Oddworld fans, this is the closest we have to Oddworld Stattuettes(sp?). Support this artist and buy a friggin' model, you cheapskate! Or do you want him... To fail?! You horrible person. You must buy 2 models now.

Keep up the much awesomeness work, Pzak. Honestly, you must. :)

Software Bug 02-26-2005 11:05 PM

I hope you make copies

I hope too :)

Great copy Pzak! Looks a bit evil :p But very inpressive.

Cloverfield 02-27-2005 07:17 PM

Wow, that is totally awesome. I would definately be interested in something like that. I just have a bit of a money problem at the moment too and saving all of my money for this year's trip to the US.

Abe Babe...

webmaster_dragon 03-05-2005 05:22 PM

I have not yet the money to get a munch (or even the game) but in a few weeks I will. I am defonatly buying one! I am olso making cg movies using the oddworld people, not to sell, but to get a job animating. I would love verry much to get a job working the oddworld compony.

P.S.
I am really sorry for the spelling, I have dislexia.

Pzak 03-07-2005 06:39 AM

Super Munch – Thanks. I appreciate the support, but I am just doing this as a hobby and a fan. There is no real money to me made and the only success I need is if I am happy with it. And I am. By the way, I am pushing hard for pre-painted statues, regardless if I am involved or not. OW has the best creature designs I have seen in the game industry and I think they would be very successful.

Oddish – Your right, I changed the eyes. I was working off different reference and the CG models are very different. Here is an update. You can also see some more views in the Fan Art section.

Abe Babe – thanks. Not to worry, I will keep the molds for a while, in case you want one later.

Is that a model of the Chippunk when it's sitting in the crossbow? Just wondering where its legs had gone. And I never noticed how short and stubby the arms are.

Viroxide 03-08-2005 12:26 AM

Great work, i like em alot.
A few questions though if thats ok...
What materials do you use?
How big is it (centimetres please)?
How much in Australian Dollars? (i know it was estimated at $70, just making sure)
Nice work!

Pzak 03-09-2005 06:54 AM

Nate - yes, thisi were he is sitting on the crossbow. I have not seen any pics of him with legs, so he doesn't have any.

Viroxide - Thanks. You have an e-mail with the answers to your questions.

Esus 03-09-2005 08:06 AM

Chippunks don't have any legs, they bounce around and they do have very small stubby arms. The model is awesome.

I'm definately going to buy the Munch model when money comes my way.

Fuzzle Guy 03-09-2005 08:43 AM

I want to buy one, but haven't got any emails back

Pzak 03-09-2005 11:30 AM

Fuzzle Guy, Please email me again at mikepetryszak@hotmail.com. or PM me. I thought I had responded to everyone but some never went out.
Sorry.

What about when they're running free and you have to hunt them? I know that's not such a good resolution but you could get and idea. Otherwise, maybe you could ask Alf/Lorne for some rear-view images seeing as they liked your Munch so much.

Pzak 03-09-2005 06:53 PM

Nate, Lorne's comment was "Way cool!".

Viroxide 03-09-2005 08:17 PM

Id like to see a Rat model from you, it is a very interesting creature.
Keep up the nice models, ill probaly buy a Munch or one of your later projects, definately a bust model of Blisterz without his hat on, if you make one.

mudling 03-09-2005 11:58 PM

if i wasn't a child with my parents moderating everything i did, i would by one, owell. i agree a one of a ratz and maybe even rasin, fleech or expecially a meech!

Xavier 03-10-2005 05:55 AM

yeah ratz are definatly awesome!...
I'd buy one if you make one.

if you need pictures, you know where t find me ;)

Fuzzles! 03-10-2005 06:47 AM

Beautiful work there Pzak, I am very impressed. I adore the Munch model, he is my favourite character after all! :)

Wil 03-11-2005 01:09 PM

Nate, the Chippunks bounce along like Fuzzles and Stunkz.

Viroxide 03-11-2005 01:28 PM

They sure do, its rather weird that the only critters with defined limbs are the insectoids (Wasps, StingBees and ThudSlugs), all the mamal critters have no legs, and in some cases no arms.

Pzak 03-14-2005 07:06 AM

Veroxide, Xavier - I like the Ratz as well. But I don’t think I could support it on the tiny leg.

Fuzzels – Thank you

Vykker Lady 03-14-2005 08:16 AM

...But I don’t think I could support it on the tiny leg.

you could have it crouching/lying down or something if you were to make one...?

Reminds me of the Inside CG about designing the Ratz

:

We had to keep in mind that there may be many of these rats in a scene, so we had to make them as digitally light, and as technically easy to animate as possible. Based on these parameters we decided instead of giving it four legs, to just give the rat one all purpose leg. Three less legs to animate, three less sets of bones and geometry, multiplied over one or two hundred rats can make a big logistical difference.
