Ok, here's some:
One of the Clakkerz once said to me over the microphone to take a chill pill - I don't know if this is a referance to MO or just a coincidence that he said it.

I heard a Clakker say he wanted a nice cold brew - as before I don't know if this is a referance to AE or not.

In the CG movies whenever a piece of paper is placed on a desk (like the Blisterz Booty wanted poster, Strangers operation papers, and the steef head poster) a fly always seems to buzz across the screen - I'm not sure what it's supposed to mean or represent though.

And finally when you're in the dam near the end of the game if you look at the red curtain things hanging down they seem to have the Magog Cartel logo on them, suggesting that Sekto is part of the Magog Cartel.

Oddish 03-05-2005 04:01 PM

In the first forest level, you should see 2 birds in at the start ,that were originaly to appear in MO. I tyred looking at closer with the binacolas, It's like watching Animal Planet realy. I tryed to catch them with the Bolamite Web, but nothing happend. It was cool to see them.

Are they the ones in page 226 of the Oddworld Art book? Because I could of sworn I saw them, but I couldn't find them when I went back, and I thought I was seeing things.

Nother bug-invisable wolvarks

You know in the Wolvark facilty- break open the second sleeping quarters door first and take those two wolvarks. Then look for a bolamite crate and use it to hop up on that divider between rooms. The first sleeping quarters will be-empty! Break the door and watch the crowd of wolvarks appear out of thin air

reminds me of Halo :)

*sorry*

I just found one: I had just defeated Lefty Lugnuts and I talked to a Clakker and he said we should split a delicious can of spooce soda to celebrate (reference to spooce).

Really? I've never heard someone say that! Cool!

Oh, and scrabinator, yes, those are the birds on page 226.
Also, in the wolvark facility, there are bunny slippers in one of the shelves.

mudling 03-08-2005 02:13 AM

I saw the birds, but never thought of it as an easter egg. I know of none but in one o the movies, the doc one, you can see green paded walls, just like munches oddesy!

FuzzleByte01 03-08-2005 04:50 PM

Another sort-of reference: The glowing green mushrooms in the cave before you get to New Yolk City were also in the Almighty Raisin's cave...at least, they look the same to me.

(Edit: I was thinking of production art of the Raisin's cave. In the actual movies in Munch's Oddysee, the mushrooms have shorter stems, but still look too flat to be spooceshrubs. The ones in the art are identical to the ones in Stranger, though.)

There's also a possible easter egg in the New Yolk City port authority and in parts of the dam. There are little scrolling message screens that are reminiscent of the ones from the Abe games, but the messages scroll by so fast that they are hard to read. I think one of them says something like "News: Rooster loses pecker."

T-nex 03-09-2005 09:25 AM

Well, when you go past the first grubb-village. You know the one where the scream and run away from you. When you go past it, you get to the smnall area with the slegs. When you go past that area, and the turn around, you'll see the signs of the normal slogs, with a bone. Guess that could be a reference to the abe and munch game.

I've never noticed those signs there, but they are also in the sewers before you fight Jo'Momma. There's one over each of those tubes that the Slegs come out of.

Leto 03-10-2005 12:07 AM

Yes, I've noticed whenever there are slegs (Except when Wolvarks make them appear), there are always slog warning signs.

Wil 03-11-2005 01:35 PM

There are Harvester vehicles in the game! (check out the MO section ofThe Art of Oddworld Inhabitants) They've been converted into bulldozers, though.

The LED screens in the Port Authority and various places in Sekto Springs Dam read pretty much:
&#8220News … Rooser ends up being pecker … Egglings not all they're cracked up to be.”
“Outlaw Bridge removal program … No bridge for U!!”

I'm gonna have to keep an eye out for the baby bottles and bunny slippers, though. It also seems as if I've missed a lot of Clakker-speak, even though I speak to them endlessly trying to catch everything.

I do so love those birds in the Forest, though.

Are you sure? Where?

Angalok 03-11-2005 02:50 PM

I saw that harvester machine too! It's in the Eugene Ius rescue mission, where you have to bounty the shooters and mortar-firers on top of the scaffolding.

I think it's just to show you how arid anf dry those places are. Guh, just thinking about it makes me thirsty.

I remember one. After leaving the temple and Eugene Ius, you end up in a huge temple with (I think) a big statue of a Grubb with it's arms crossed. Have Stranger talk to himself and he'll say "Smells like a dead Slog in here." I know, I know, I'm not the first to mention a slog refrence.
BUT.
If I had more time, you know I would think of something better. But I gotta go.

Wil 03-11-2005 04:03 PM

The first one I found was outside on the ground somewhere, but I can't remember where. In a subsequent play-through I found one in Blisterz Booty's compound, inside a barn. Remember where the tractor-type thing is? It's upstairs from there, I believe.

Elodie 03-14-2005 11:37 AM

While i was playing Stranger for the second time I found what i think could be an easter egg. Or it could just be the strangness that is the oddworld universe. I found a pair of underpants that say "Josh" on them, maybe this is a reference to someone at OWI?

You can find the underpants when you try to cross the bridge that leads to Buzzardton and then 2 outlawz fire rockets at you. Well once you've bountied them go round the side to where the bridge blew up and you should see a mattress, next to it is a pair of underpants that says what i can make out as "Josh" if you use your binoculars you can read it a little better. Speculate as you wish, lol.

Wil 03-14-2005 12:16 PM

Might be Josh Heeren. He was assistant producer on the game, as well as producer and assistant editor on the pre-rendered movies. Maybe he has monogramed undergarments, and OWI wanted to include this hilarity in the game.

Or maybe one of those mortars is just called Josh. :p

I found a cardboard cut-out Outlaw Shooter! In the waters in front of the beach the Freely Gang are tossing expired explosives about on, there are three explosive barrels about halfway across the river. Leaning up against one of them is a flat Outlaw! I couldn't quite understand what it was doing there - maybe target practice for the mortars?

T-nex 03-14-2005 12:22 PM

i once found a shoe in the wolvark-facility i think. Lol, it was just a shoe, laying next to a table. It looked so hilarious, and the i shot the shoe, and it dissapeared.

Mojo 03-14-2005 01:37 PM

Why are the Wolvarks that send the Slegs after you called "Slog"Handlers?

Also, when fighting a Glocktigi (Cool critter!), when you walk through the green "Ink", you hear the farting of Abe! I thought that was cool.

Kimon 03-14-2005 01:38 PM

Yeah I found those too. There's a couple of them off the coast.

Mac the Janitor 03-15-2005 01:42 PM

Ok, so I'm not sure if this is true or not, but...

In the Doc's Office (in-game), there are two identical posters on each wall. They are brownish/yellowish colored. Look at them. Is it just me, or is it the same diagram for a Gabbit body that was used in MO? I could be imagining things, it might just be a random poster, but to me it looks like the Gabbit overhead diagram.

Fuzzle Guy 03-20-2005 01:00 AM

Stand directly infront of Fatty McBoomBoom and he doesn't shoot you!

:

There kind of is a little reference to the old Abe days in Stranger. At the beginning of the game when you're still in town and about to go on your first mission, a clakker tells another clakker to open the gate for Stranger. The gatekeeper says "Uhhh, okay" just like a mudokon.

-oddguy

Biggy Bro Slig thought they were Mudokons.
I beat one of them sensless :p!

Xavier 03-20-2005 12:07 PM

someone definatly need to make a list of them all and explain them all clearly :p

Oddish 03-20-2005 01:27 PM

On the Opple farm, when Meagly Meglraw invades, there is clakker roasting, lol.

LOL, when I was fighting him, I was running away and I ran into that.

Jacob 03-20-2005 02:16 PM

'Why are the Wolvarks that send the Slegs after you called "Slog"Handlers?'

I thought it was because the Slegs are just a different breed of Slog.

duveaux 03-22-2005 07:26 AM

You know it really would have been cool to have Abe as a bounty in the game, but he either eludes Stranger, or he's not worth enough money. I know they wanted a fresh start, but it would have been priceless to have that in the game. Stranger's a bounty hunter, and Abe's wanted.

Yeah that would be a great idea, they could just take abe to the clackerz town and make him wanted there...:fuzcool:

But I also understand them, Abe is a Main character and stranger to and they couldn't let abe end up in jail by some new oddworld character:confused:

duveaux 03-22-2005 07:35 AM

:fuzconf: OOPS
I C i'm kinda late with that post...
sorry for that

Oddish 03-23-2005 10:22 AM

On the level when you control the boat, when your on the river. You go through this cave tunnel. Theres a big rock which has these prints on it, of grubbs on the right, and 3 steef infront of the grubbs, and some other creature form on the left side, which looks like an oktigi.

In Cave, before the place where are MO birds, there is a Inhabitant (just like inhabitants, where Stranger run from Blisterz Booty), and - you can go in this inhabitant! In the end of this, there are lots of Moolah for you.

In First Town, when you go to the Jail, there are Blisterz Booty, Dirty Hands Floyd and Looten Duke, and you can talk with they.

Is Inhabitant the right word you want? It doesn't make sense to me.
