I paid a good deal of money on the Limited Edition, so I'm opening it...since I could only afford to get one book. I couldn't get all three editions as I would've liked. But...to make sure the Limited Edition stays beautiful, I'll probably get one of those "safe-boxes" to keep my book in a germ-free environment. ;)

Did anyone do investigation on my clue yet? Anyway is it available in clear screen too instead of blue screen (this one looks like it may be for marketing cause its got the company title on the front). How much are these Oddguy anyway cause getting one of these for the limited edition is that icing on the cake to show your a true Oddworld freak (thats a good thing)

I got my hardback copy! It's so fantastic to read, and even more spectacular to look at! There's information on the creation of the games and universe, information on the creatures and characters nobody could have known before, and not forgeting the art! The art! Beautiful colour studies, twisted conceptual sketches, unseen creatures, buildings and vehicles - it's an Oddworld fan's dream. You absolutely have to have this book.

Unbelivable! The whole frickken world is getting the book and whenever I go online to see the status of my orders it say still waiting to deliver! Why has Odd cursed me!

*cries with you* Can you believe that out of all the credit cards that are accepted at Ballistic, Discover isn't? So that I can actually receive the book sometime, my family and I had to go through with a credit card transfer (we are getting a Visa now) and who knows when I'll get the book now! Don't worry you will have it before Christmas! as for the limited editions I belive they ship about Dec 17th-ish. Hey can anyone give some more on the Mugs. In all my days in Oddworld I have never seen one *wink* ....or have I. Anyway someone got anymore info than the basics.

There's nothing on Mugs, though there are a couple of pictures of Meetles - in their 1%er design. The description of Luskans also mentions them as if they're sentient species, rather than their more lowly beetle-like design. Hmmm.

No, the description of Luskans differentiates them from Mugs as even Mugs will work together for the betterment of the species while Lusks are too distrustful even for that.

That image has been seen before, many times. Although I don't know what our policy on reproducing public material from the Art of Oddworld is. As far as I'm aware, the posting of images is not allowed - which includes public ones. Though that seems rather pointless.

Anyway, on topic, I've always loved the twin fetuses logo. It had such a great sense of mystery, and for me, always seemed to allude to a darker meaning behind the image. As I take it from Alf's answer to Xavier's question, the twin fetuses logo was going to be common between Munch's Oddysee and Hand of Odd? Or that the twins symbolise the two seperate games, though joined somehow?

Still, the concept of incorporating fetuses into the game is intriguing.

the games were started at the same time, and so they developped both at the same moment during a little time. later they just carried on with Munch, and will go back to HoO later

I thought the land was called Mudos? Why would it be the "land of Nodd"? Is it me or does it feel sleepy in here? :sleepy:

Yeah it does seem sleepy sorta. Anyway, we are still on Mudos in a part of Mudos called Nodd. Think of it this way Mudos is a contitinent and Nodd is a country. Once again those clever folks at OI deliver a -odd word in Nodd.

We'll see if you're right or not when the game comes out, or when we get more info.

But how exactly do you know this information? If it was from OWI themselves, didn't you have to sign some sort of NDA?

Well I am at least aloud to tell you that it is Nodd but the rest of the vauble info came in the package I was talking about (no it wasn't a job application) . Now you know why I couldn't tell you guys before about Nodd until the package got here, and thumbs up where given.

Am I the first person to receive the LE? The Certificate of Authenticity (although expected) is a rather nice touch, with the signatures and stuff. I'll get it framed along with my other collectables.

I'm not sure, although you do live in Adelaide. I received a notification that the Limited Edition had been sent to me just a while ago, and the credit card statement came through as well. I'm just waiting now for it. Though I don't know if I should open the Limited Edition, or buy a Soft Cover one right now. I've already spent a tonne on the Limited Edition, so I think I'll just open that one :p

EEE! I got my book for Christmas! :cheer: Glad you couldn't hear me squealing like a school girl. I will only touch it with rubber gloves on. I got #31 of the Limited Editions! My mom says my dad's crazy for getting it for me, but it's HIS fault I'm into Oddworld....
