How do you feel about in-thread rants that quickly degenerate into petty infighting, name-calling and hair-pulling?

does anyone have ANYTHING to say about this topic anymore or should this thread just be closed and replaced by a new 'Let's bitch about each other' thread?

Gah! That is so annoying. People are trying to have a conversation, then some person gets offended over something...and next the whole thread is a bloody flame-war!

Video games are so expensive here that I wouldn't buy ANY game unless it were really, really good. 100 bucks Canadian for a game, trust me nudity is not the way to pull me in.

Depends if PC Gamer gave the game a good mark.

And It was my sort of thing.

And it didn't have too much nudity.

And It had a decent soundtrack

And it was fun

And it wasn't based around the nudity

And I could skip the nudity

And it was cheap

What do you mean, if I could? I'm old enough but I'd feel really dirty. I'm kind of proud of myself because I've been without porn for around a year and it is difficult especially when it seems every guy on campus has it and you've got unblocked broadband net access at home. I would feel really creeped out, you know? If I were to buy a game like that it would have to meet my criteria for videogames which means it has a nice storyline and plot, good mechanics, doesn't have a lousy camera system, and looks good graphically. I was talking with my friends about what they consider unsuitable when it comes to entertainment and people freaked over violence. They'd say things like "Man, Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction totally crossed the lines, why'd you suggest I rent them?" But if I'd have rented a "good" porno they'd have no qualms about it at all. I take the totally different angle to this. Sex crosses the lines for me while on the other hand I could watch, listen, or play something with violent content pretty much all day long and not be the least bit uncomfortable.

Full frontal nudity + Abes Oddysee = Scrab.
