Europe - England - SUNDERLAND!!!

This means that Dissaray and I (He being a Geordie and me a Mackem!) should be at loggerheads on here!

DeBulletDodger 05-17-2004 08:30 AM

Im a Geordie aswell.

ClaireBear 05-17-2004 08:33 AM

Oh no!!!!! (please don't kill me!)

Well I'm not technically a "mackem" I was born there... in the hospital... but I'm born and raised in East Boldon a village 4 miles form Sunderland and 8 from the Toon. Its technically in South Tyneside so by default I'm a "Sand Dancer!"

I hate Sunderland... IMHO the city and its people is joke! (Sorry to all those mackems out there... but its only MHO!)

DeBulletDodger 05-17-2004 08:37 AM

DeBulletDodger 05-17-2004 08:54 AM

Quiet you! You live in CA, damnit! I would rather live in a warm climate any day, smelly cows or not.

I live in central California, so the winters are cold, but alas...no snow. Oy, but the summers are so freakin' hot! And hot cows don't smell good...trust me.

Cold, you don't know cold 'till you've been out here. Cold and wet.

Aye, I know the feeling of true coldness. Used to live in Indiana, and when I first moved to CA, it was to this small town in the mountains. Very cold in the winters.

I come from Moscow, in Russia. And if you guys think you know cold, think again! England feels sub-tropical compared to Moscow.

As you have now probably guessed, I live in England. Have been for quite a while now.

I was told just the other day that my Russian accent had basically all but dissapeared. Which is something I am glad about. Yay, down with roots! \o/

ClaireBear 05-17-2004 10:49 PM

Newcastle-Upon-tyne is on the same latitude line as Moscow Death!

But I think I told you that already! Its my one and only "Russia" fact!!! x

What a shame your accent has gone Death... I'm sure it was very sexy!

*CB touchs Death's arm... and giggles!*

Anyhoo... *ahem* Yeah! Russia's cold!

DarkHoodness 05-18-2004 01:05 AM

Well, I come from a small little town in the south-east of the UK called Hockley, in the county of Essex. It's very near the town of Southend, which boasts the longest pleasure peir in the world. . .
Despite the fact that this place is overcrowded, and the people around here are ass-holes, and also the countryside is quickly being covered by concrete thanks to the "Thames Gateway" project, it's still very nice here.
Within walking distance there is both towns and countryside, so I get the best of both worlds. :)
Life isn't that good here, though. . . But blame that on the complete gits who are in charge of the place.
Anyway I'm in college and I'm being moved classes. . . Gtg. I'll finish this later.

Nah I'm happy with this sort of half English half Russian thing. I'm a hybrid! Wow how cool does that make me sound. Like some kind of cyborg. :p

Yes! It does... must take cold shower and lie down in a darkened room! :D

Yes... (it'll still be sexy though... even just the meerest hint... infact if its faint people won't be able to place where you're from so you'll be mysterious, dark and dangerous... cold shower number two required very soon!!!) :D

DarkHoodness 05-18-2004 01:40 AM

Nah, we keep having to move classes and stuff because the computers aren't working properly today. . . The computer's I've just come off of had no software on them. :S This makes writing user guides for your new program that you've just created very hard indeed, yes? This computer I'm on now is very slow, took a year to log onto the network, and also the screen is messed up and it's beggining to make my eyes hurt. I'm glad lunch break is soon. . .

But yeah, life ain't that bad here in this diverse place with loads of stuff here, even if the taxes are pretty high, and the majority of those in charge around here are complete smegheads. . .
The town of Southend is a small (but very expensive - public transport sucks around here, and is too high-priced) train ride or drive away, and being a big seaside town, has many nice shops and a good college, and is also a good tourist attraction for some strange reason, despite being a heavily polluted place.
On another point, this college isn't without it's flaws. They're building a new college closer to the town centre and are moving into it next year. But even I can see that they're going to have many, many teething problems. They're not the most organised company I've ever seen, after all. . .
I'll stop rambling now.

At least, that's what I think she mean't. *crosses fingers*

ClaireBear 05-18-2004 02:34 AM

Oddguy, I think you're just reading into pretty shallow banter. :)

It's like Mac and his Homosexual role-play jokes.
