your off by abit. It was made in 1947 hence the 47 part. It was the russians primary weapons from 1947-1974. It isnt the most accurate of guns, especially on automatic. but on semi you could probably hit a large barrel from 100 ft.

your probably confused with the stg.44, a german SMG that resembled the AK47.
