That is disturbing. It's like how an eleven year old threatened a younger child with a knife over Poke'mon cards. And how a nine year old broke into someone's house to steal ove 400 cards. *Looks at giant binders of cards over shoulder and goes off to hide them*

Children see people on TV stealing or breaking into houses, killing, threatening, and stuff like that, and think it's OK, and a way to make them seem more mature. It's ridiculous. Luckily, my little sister doesn't get these ideas.

You instantly blame it on the media... I suppose that is the easy way out of reconising simple facts that make us human...

It's weird over here. Politics is full of people who are rich, and therefore have influence. They do what they want for them, and not really what is needed for the people. Buncha freaking liars.
And you can't get anywhere unless you know the right people or you have very deep, very full pockets.
Politics here is screwed up. Those in power do whatever the hell they want, and sorta make everyone around the world think that everyone here feels the way that they feel, and completely agree with whatever that idiot Bush decides.
I hope that makes as much sense as I thought it did.
And in closing, not all Americans are as stupid as the President. Hell, half the time, the media is what influences whatever choice is made. But when people assume that Bush is the person who actually represents the mindframe and thoughts of the American people. And I, personally, am insulted when Americans are called stupid/greedy/etc., because we aren't all like that.

Yeah, but you can't blame them given the general image our country gives off.

The U.S. already has a badass gun policy, just read the rules about firearms, there are reams of them. In New York you need a permit just to own, not USE a firearm and assault weapons policy is so strict models of air guns and blow guns are banned.
The blame belongs squarely on the kid's parents. First of all, these parents don't teach their kids basic moral conduct and let them get easy access to weapons. Holy friggin' shit.Also, how can media be blamed for this? I hardly think these little kids keyed themselves up for their batshit crazy murder plot with Morbid Angel CDs and a bit of deathmatch in Unreal Championship 2004.
