lol, sure Esus. That would prove that OWI have lost their nomenclature skills. Why would they name someone after an Earth creature, hmm? OWI should have learnt that lesson from MO. :p
Oh, and Jacob - they all have two legs. Even the Wartslog. Mind you, I remember some loof complaining about how they were fed up of one-legged creatures as MO was coming out, tee hee hee. Oh yes, and I've just remembered, I couldn't spot the rat/scorpion/spider creature from the card in the image. And SS, I didn't notice that before, but that wasn't a nice thing to do with Xav's image. I can understand forgetting to give him credit, but why superimpose your URL on it? |
At first I thought Alf was making fun with the names "Unkle Turkey Toes" & "Bawhnee Sue McUgly". But now I am considering that these names could be real... I am keeping an open mind about this game as it probably won’t relate to a lot of things we consider "Oddworlds Style". Its not part of the Quintology... so anything can happen...

what i'm saying, Xav is that you had to put all your pictures on CDs because you dont have enough memory, how could you fit almost 3 CDs worth on one server?

hmmmm...my CD's aren't 100% full with pictures (7cd's now)... there are video, texts, flash, websites (that's right, I saved the VykkersLabs.com).
and if I can't put everything on I'm sure we will find some solution. |

You have the right picture SS of the shell man but your thumbnail is wrong. here is the picture I am talking about. He is green and you can't make out his face and he looks as if he is wearing sort of a red ribbon type of thing around his face. I dunno what the heck that red thing is. This is the guy I am talking about. This has to be the shell man. Look closely at my attachment and you will notice that the head of this green guy looks very closely like the head of the shell man only at a different angle and green. The shape is real close and I have no doubt it is shell man. I think Shell man is going to be in Stranger as one of the poachers and thats my own observation.

Thats some large backpack or something. If you look you can see that the straps wrap around the guy below him and that it's being carried on his back, what i'm saying is that i dont think that's a creature, It's some thing that he carries on his back with red straps.

hmmm the concept was spotted in the period when lots of reporters could go inside the studio and make reports, it was part of the promotion compain of MO... but I can't recall if MO was already done.
But by OWI, if something isn't used directly, it won't be trowed away. It will make it in a later game. |

I don't understand why OWI isn't using some of their older concepts, such as skeeters, meetles and octigi. Some of those old designs were very unique and would add more diversity to the characters we have seen in Stranger so far. Maybe because they want this game to be so seperate from the rest of the series... But I definitely think they should stick a huge gloktigi in a future game as a creature Abe is able to possess.

I think that they are still using them, but were created for a specific role in the Quintology, which would explain why they aren't there. Stranger's game wasn't originally planned, so they want to reserve the debut of these creatures for when they're needed (i.e. Munch's Exoddus). That's what I think, anyway. |
Hey at school right now, but just went to the OWI site and they've put a new pic in place of the old one for the Stranger game link....not that big of news but just wanted something to do while I sit here...yep..*walks off*.

Mann I can't wait to see the gameplay of this game. We saw portions of it in X-Factor and they looked amazeing in detail. Odd knows what it looks like now. I am looking forward to playing in that lush envirorment depicted in the picture. I know its most likely a CG movie but I am pretty sure there will be gameplay in that area. As I drool thinking about the new Oddworld game! :fuzsmile:

Yeah I agree, I want to see some actual gameplay footage, and not that early test stuff. We allready have seen just how good the CGI FMV sequences were a year ago, I can only imagine how far they've come from that point. :fuzsmile:
