I was wondering about that castle as well, Alcar. Oh, and I don't know why Grig didn't ask me. Oh well.

If Stranger travels alone, how come there's more than two ores?
|
:
or some of the "things" he travels that help him |
I'd thought that too. I guess in his centaur form he's got 6 limbs, which would account for 75% of the oars, but thinking about it, his hind four legs would probably be hooven and not capable of grasping them. A simple explanation would be that the boat is not designed specifically for his use.
|
Well the oars may move at his command if he actually can talk to the boat. But then again in the footage he seems to be rowing and all the oars move...strange.
|
The oars could move with his connection to the boat, like SS said. Or when he rows the two oars, maybe the Boat reacts and just moves the rest of the oars.
Or my thought building off the previous a bit. Maybe Stranger rows two oars, while then he uses his mind to tell the boat to move the rest of the oars at the same time he is moving his own, making the boat much faster. Thus, a more effective way of travel for him from place to place. |
Maybe the oars are part of the boats "body", and so, when Stranger met boat, he couldn't remove the arms because they were like limbs, so he rows two because he wants to... and the boat does the rest.:fuzconf:

I would think that the oars move on their own, in that one pic that PA posted in the begining of this topic Stranger seems to be sitting at the end of the boat in a relaxing and pondering mood while the boat seems to be rowing away.
Another thought I had was that the little Karate guys, as they've been dubbed, put some type of mystical spell on Strangers boat to row when he wants it to. After all in all the pic's I've seen of them they always have strange tatto's and are acting mystical. |
Well thinking about it in the card when stranger gets in the boat and the oars give a moan. Either OWI just used that as a description of the sound of the oars moving, or maybe the Oars (if the boat is alive) are actually letting out a moan because they are moving again, and have been still for a while. Just more speculation for now though.

I think you guys are on to something about Stranger. I think the idea of hunter transforming and then becoming the hunted, while still trying to earn a living, is very plausible.
Maybe the boat is a robot, with AI and capable of self propulsion. I doubt it though. This is sort of a tangent, but I wonder if we will ever get around to seeing a Shrink. I hope there is one in the next Quintology game... One last thought. Did anyone notice the little fins on the salamanger arms? It is reasonable to think they are a pretty aquatic species. I can picture one slowly rising out of a creek, just enought to shoot a blow dart at an animal and then go back underwater. |
