I am 100% streight and 0% homosexual because I believe being a homosexual can be sinful and un ethical for myself in my own opinion. But what ever is good for you there is nothing wrong with it. Please not another thread on religion! Anyway, do you know all the names for Satan? If you did, you would know he is the father of lies and such, which is a sin. I know Satanists aren't demon worshipers, but they are very misguided in their beliefs. In the scriptures it says that in the last days that many will see darkness as light and vice-versa. I think this is one of those cases. But you have freedom of religion, so I can't do a bloody thing about it!

Yup! I know this one. I actualy follow it to the best of my ability. Extra food goes to the poor rather that filling yer belly too full, but we all break that on thanksgiving!:D Anyway, my church takes fast offering and gives out to the poor.

DI everybody sins we are human its just a matter of how we recognise those sins and aknowledge them to God. I sin everybody sins. We are not perfect. Earthly pleasures to me are secondary in comparison to spiritual richness.

The points DI brought forward about those sins were false. If a family needs moolah to support their family, that is not a sin! It is sin when you lust after money and that is all you care about. If you guys read the Bible, you would know that what you guys are doing is the same things the Pharasies did back in the day. The Pharasies believed that since you couldn't work on the Sabbath day, that meant you could not walk past a certain amount of steps. The Pharasies actually had people count their steps on Sunday, and if they ran out of steps, they had to sit until Monday came. Jesus spoke against that when he healed a blind man on the Sabbath. Are you guys going to be like the Pharasies and say that was wrong? This same thing applies to what you guys are saying about sin. What I said was right....what you guys said was twisted. You're a fool if you think there is a 'true' meaning to the bible. It is a book that is left to self interpretation.

Of course satan is portrayed as being a bad guy in your bible. As I previously mentioned, he is used to keep all those who follow 'god' in check. To properly represent good, you must make an example of the polar opposite. You know, 'evil'.

In short, satan is used as a scape goat. People blame sin and evil in this world on him, when actually, the sin and evil can be traced back to mankind.

After all, your god gave us freewill, did he not?

I think that Oddguy, Grig and PA should read, if not do a little bit of research, on the Satanic Bible. They tell the non-believers to read their Bible so why don't they read other religions Bibles? Oddguy you said that your Bible makes Satan look bad, and so you base your decision of "him" and the religion on that. Surely if you were to truly follow your religion you would do what Jesus would do and see both sides of the story.

If you need money for your family, then it is not a sin. Because it is needed. However, as DI stated, wanting more money is a sin. Wanting abit extra at dinner, is a sin. Wanting more than you need, is a sin. Infact, wanting is a sin. If you have everything you NEED, you are perfectly equipped to live life righteously. Do you NEED an Xbox? Do you NEED MO? Do you NEED a computer? No, but you want these things. Yet because you don't need them you're being Greedy. I suppose this also applies to Lust.

It's all very well saying that but who decides if you have a reason? God does. So if somebody close to you gets hit by a car by a drunk driver and you get angry, you may think "I am well within my right to be angry, my close person-thing has been hurt" whereas God may be all "I shall test this person and if they get angry they shall dance in the pit of eternal flame."...or something.

I personally believe that Buddhists are better Bible-following-people. They never Lust, never get Greedy, never get Angry, never Gluttonise, never Slothful, never Prideful, never get jealous...
