There is a simple answer to that question: I have made a very large and positive contribution to the OWFs in a very short space of time. I am not new to forums, I have been using them for years and years, so I am quite a master at climbing the ranks quickly and making successful threads. AbeBabe feels that I have talent and creativity that I have shared to the benefit of the forums, so she upped my status and assigned me to OWF Fan Game Expert. Simple as that. My rank doesn't make me more or less of a person than you or anyone else however, and I would at this junture also like to point out that it doesn't allow me to do any more than you can. It just identifies me for my OWF approved and noted efforts.

As far as spamming is concerned, if you want loads of postcounts really quick, the best way is to make loads of contributions and subscribe to loads of threads. That way you can take part in multiple debates and you will probably be considered for having a custom rank for your contribution.

Thankyou for taking that back, no I wasn't upset really, I was just a bit annoyed that you were just adding to the length of the argument, rather than helping to put a stop to it (which is what the mods were trying to do).

As for custom titles, well if deserve one then you will get one. And you can always ask. Personally I don't think we should make a trend of handing them out, I think they should be given to people as a badge announcing what they are good at, and also announcing that they have earned it through a considerable contribution.

I don't know if anyone agrees with me here, but I have heard that AlphaScrab has made quite a contribution here! OWF Game Manual would be a good title if you give game help Apha, your custom rank should let people know what your good for :)

Personally, I find nothing better than firing a fully loaded Heckler and Koch G36c at a big block of wax, and listening to the rattle of the folded stock against the plastic casing, watching shells fly off to my right, and hearing the "plut, plut, plut, plut" of lead slugs corkscrewing through a large wax block...

OR, firing a Smoke grenade from an M4A1 Colt Commando grenade launcher, and hearing the dull "thud" as it hits the ground and puffs up into a ploom of smoke...

Now THATS statisfying...

Speaking of weaponry, has anybody noticed that the slig rifle has a pump action pumping handle? I think they based it on the SPAS 12 gauge tactical shotgun...
Personally I think that the guns on Oddworld should either be really backwards sort of blunderbuss things, or really advanced gauss accelerated SMG rifle...
For a planet whose factories run mainly off of steam made from lard burning boilers, the technology is awfully advanced...

i wrote an essay on all the weapons of oddworld in GD. Its not based on the spas 12, more like the inthaca (sp).

That would either be an elephant gun or some sort of custom double mounted SPAS. But neither of those shotguns are particularly good at blowing chunks out of things...
The best for doing that is the Remington Wingmaster: US Special Forces Standard Issue Combat Shotgun...
It is designed to be increadably responsive with a wide spreadshot, so that if the user is ever startled by an enemy, he can quietly and efficiently passify the situation by blowing a MASSIVE hole in him.

Not only does it sound like a razor blade, but it cuts like one too :D
