That was what the PS2 Munch's Oddysee was described as. Until it swapped over to the Xbox.

I haven't really got any clue on what it could be. It could be either SligStorm or a totally new game. But, as we all know SligStorm designs/ideas/pictures as quoted from Alf from an old Dear Alf question, are hanging up around the rooms of Oddworld Inhabitants.

So, the inspiration was always there :fuzsmile:

Am I the only one who thinks that an oddworld game without Abe couldn't be a real oddworld game? I mean, you HAVE to include him. Even if he has a small part in the game, Abe would make the connection to the new game idea with the prior games to the casual gamers.

As for downloadable contente, I think that's the least we'll get as an "online" option for the next oddworld game. I'd like that, and a small multiplayer game to be included. It would be fun for people to be able to take characters from either side and competes in mini-games online.

hmmm Abe don't have to be in it...
Oddworld doens't equal Abe
but you are right when you say he have to be there just a bit, so the other people who aren't that fan of oddworld will not be loosed

No. No Abe. He can come back later but first we need to go somewhere very far away, with all new creatures and characters and work with them for a while, then bring 'em all together and find who this 'true' evil is, destroy them and have a party... With marshmellows!

What is hand of odd?
Only had xbox for a couple off weeks, have got both AO and AE on PSX, played them to death, but never really kept up on anything oddish until now (Munch).

ps...wipe out prejudice, hate everyone!
(only a joke, but its funny in my world...the trees are purple, the sea is made of lemonade)

so, the fifth game concept is already known?
seems a bit strange, they are going to have to make all the others in between fit.

seems a bit back wards to me (just like releasing star wars IV first)

will have to look into this more in depth!!!

A: We are currently not in production on those titles at this time. Oddworld is presently working on a title that is concurrent with the evolution of the Quintology, but unique from our previous games. So even though it is unlike anything we've released so far, we think you'll agree it couldn't have come from anyone but Oddworld.

Yes TBS Hand Of Odd won't be part of the Quintology but a different' series. It takes place during Oddworlds past and has similar gameplay to Age of Empires and the such. However OWI could have changed that name of the game and what its all about so we shouldn't expect it to be like that exactly.:fuzsmile:

but I think that a game from an industrialists point of view would be good because you could choose an industry like Rupture farms, Soulstorm brewery or Splinterz and then set up business and compete for profits. It could be online where you compete against other people and buy them out or sabotage their works. I would choose to run a slig barracks and when someone puts the squeeze on me then I'll trash their industry with an army of sligs.
That would be really cool :) A little like the Sims :D Sounds like a good step for OW, if they ever do it...
